Sportsman's Lodge is located on the St. Johns River, just 17 miles south of Palatka, Florida. We are located almost 2 hours from the Disney/Orlando area. We are also 45 minutes from St Augustine and 1 hour from Daytona Beach.

Welaka is known as the bass-fishing capital of the world. This 3/2 condominium is on the 1st floor offering a view of the St. John's River and dramatic sunsets. This 4 building complex has a beautiful waterfront pool. Sip cocktails by the pool and watch the sunset. Several natural springs (Silver Glen, Lake George and Salt Springs) are close by. Private dock and boatslip.

A fisherman, boater, or waterskier/jetskier's paradise. Our unit is an end unit with patio doors to pool and dock. Available for monthly and weekly rentals only. $1500/month + $100 housekeeping charge and $750/week + $100 housekeeping charge.

Perfect place to stay!

We returned to the same condo we've rented before, and will return again! With 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, a complete kitchen, satellite TV, and internet, it has everything we need for a restful stay.

This was our first time staying in this unit. Everything about the unit was the same as shown on the website. We enjoyed the unit itself, the availability of internet service, and getting approval to take two small dogs. Communications and reservations with the owners went smoothly. Having a boat slip available was also great, although someone with a pontoon boat needs to be very careful - the end of the dock is not protected and can damage the pontoon upon contact. We still look forward to renting again!

Excellent Unit

I stayed at this unit for approximately one month and my family enjoyed thoroughly! I would recommend to anyone looking in this area to rent/lease this unitl.

My family spends every available weekend on the water in Welaka. The area provides many possibilities. You can ski and tube during the day. The Oklawaha River extends off the St Johns River in Welaka and provides wildlife and vegetation viewing. There are several natural springs for snorkeling or just parking the boat for a cool swim. After a day on the river you can prepare a meal or go to a local restaurant. Our favorites are The River Pub offering pizza and Italian food and Shrimps R Us for the seafood.
