This is a very nice, clean and comfortable house with further amenities. It has everything you need for a recreative and interesting vacation. The house is located in a pleasant neighborhood with supermarket, gas station, bank and playgrounds nearby. When you rent a car the garage is a big advantage. You can reach Calgary city center easy by car through a good connection to the main roads and also by public transport. The location of the house is a good starting point for day trips and other excursions in any direction of Calgary. We very much enjoyed our stay and can therefore recommend this townhome without any reservation.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

My fiance and I stayed here for a week in November. I actually live in Calgary but am currently renting a room and unable accommodate visitors, so we decided to rent this house so we could have more space and be comfortable. The house was perfect. It was such a relaxing week and great to have our own space again where we could cook and live like we were at home. The house had everything we needed and I didn't need to go home to get anything during the week. The space was perfect for two people and could easily accommodate more. The photos are definitely an accurate representation. The house was very clean and as other reviewers commented even has food in the cupboard and the basic spices. Having a garage was a definite perk in the Calgary winter. The location is good if you want to go out of town to the mountains and there is a shopping complex within walking distance that has a grocery store, hair salon, pizza joint etc. but I would definitely recommend having a car as the city transportation from Tuscany is not great and it is quite a ways from some of the attractions in the city (i.e. downtown, zoo, shopping malls, heritage park). However, if you are looking for a quite and comfortable, fully equipped place to stay for a reasonable price and you are planning on renting a car, this place is fantastic. Dealing with Erin was great. She was very organized and professional and everything went smoothly - I had no problems getting the key and checking in or checking out. I have already recommended this rental to my family for when they come to Calgary and will definitely let all my friends know about it. This was our first time using homeaway and as a result of our very positive experience we will definitely take advantage of vacation rentals in other cities using homeaway in the future.Owner response: Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm so glad you enjoyed the property :) I am looking forward to hosting your family later this summer!! You are also welcome anytime!!

We are a small family from Brazil and this was our first experience with HomeAway. We really enjoy the experience. We chose this house because it seemed very warm and suitable for our family (a couple with a baby). First of all, the owner, dear Erin, always responded wonderfully to all emails. All questions about the house, about the dates and the payment were answered immediately and with great attention and care. When we got to the home, we had many pleasant surprises. Everything was much better than we were expecting. The house was really warm, pleasant, spotlessly clean and very well equipped. A HOME away from home. Everything was very clean and very well organized. The living room was very cozy with two nice sofas, fireplace, TV. The equipment (TV, DVD, Wii) was of excellent quality. The well equipped kitchen had all electrical appliances. Had food in the pantry if we wanted (there were biscuits, noodles, pasta, etc.)!!! The dining room was very nice with modern decor and looking new. Bathrooms were also well equipped and very clean. The master bedroom has a fantastic bed and plenty of space, even to put a crib. I venture to say that the best part of our trip was being in this house. We were as comfortable as in our own home. The heating was nice, and everything worked well (wifi, washing machine, dryer, garage door, etc.). For our first experience in Canada, everything was very good, but staying in this house was the best part of the trip, because every time we came home, tired after a busy day, we felt good, more than any hotel. Our desire was to stay there forever. We will certainly be in this house again in the future when we visit Calgary again. Erin is a fabulous person. She is a very kind and dear and we are very happy to meet her. Erin - Thank you for everything :)Owner response: Hello again! Thank you so much for your kind words!! It was such a pleasure having your visit Calgary Tuscany Retreat. You are a beautiful family, and I was lucky to have you. Hopefully you will consider coming back again! Until next time, take good care!!! Regards, Erin Charman Calgary Tuscany Retreat

I was delighted with my stay here! Each room is spacious with it's own ensuite with Bath! Heaven. Also there were lots of little goodies like bath salts and moisturizers, hair straighteners etc free for you use. Walk in wardrobes, and open kitchen, lounge, dinning room area. A cute little outside area, but was a little too cold to enjoy it when I was there. Everything is easy to use and it has everything for a home away from home. The booklet is extensive and has easy to follow instructions for every appliance. The cul de sac is cute and very handy to the local supermarket, bank, chemist, starbucks. And the bus stop to the train is only 10 minutes away - make sure you have the right change of $2.25 as you don't get refunds! This was the perfect place to stay to relax and while enjoying the comforts of home. It feels as if you are away from it all but town is only 20-30 mins away and because of it's location the beauty and must sees of Banff and Lake Louise are even closer. Don't look anywhere else - this place has it all!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

This house was located in a great spot, literally a short walk round the corner and you find a supermarket, dominoes and Starbucks plus petrol station. We also took a walk round the area to find a tot lot for our toddler and what a gorgeous walk it was (recommend if you have time). We found lots of places seemed to be a 30min drive which was great and Banff (one of our favourite resorts) was about 1.5 hrs drive! A drawback we found was trying to get into the city on the ctrain, the nearest station is a short drive away but there isn't a parking spot to be found, we ended up driving to the zoo station (about 30 mins away) and paid $5 to park there all day which was good value-the zoo is excellent by the way. The house itself is really homely with all the bits and pieces you would find in your own home including food in the cupboards -very useful! Very spacious property too including a washing machine. Plenty of parking, we didn't use the garage as it was just as easy parking in a bay. This house is great value for money and Erin was so helpful to us in sourcing a cot and highchair for our daughter, would stay again and highly recommend.Owner response: Thank you so much for the wonderful review! It is always great to hear that the property met (and sometimes even exceeded) expectations! It is true that the property is somewhat on the outskirts of the city. This makes it easy to access the mountains, but the C-Train can be a bit troublesome to get to. Our closest station with parking serves the a large portion of the Northwest and gets full quickly. Am also pleased I was able to provide amenities needed. With enough notice, I can usually source extras required, and do strive to accommodate all visitors' needs as best I can. Thank you so much for coming, and perhaps I'll be able to host you again some day!

I just spent a very enjoyable four weeks at this property. The house is clean, well equipped & very comfortable - a real home-from-home. With food in the cupboards & stuff in the bathroom ("use what you need" said the note from the owner) I was able to just walk in & settle down. Thanks Erin - I will be back again for sure!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.
Owner response: Hello again Dave! Thank you so much for your wonderful review! It was a real pleasure having you visit the property, and I'm glad it was everything you were looking for! I look forward to perhaps hosting you again one day! Warm Regards, Erin Charman Calgary Tuscany Retreat

What a wonderful place to stay... just far enough out of Calgary and close to the Rockies... loved every minute of the stay a beautiful house with its own garage. Enough room to always be comfortable... shopping close by and plenty to do. Went riding at the Rafter 6 a great place. If you want to visit the Rockies you couldn't find a nicer place to start out from.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers, age 55+.
