Great, central location. It is a very busy neighborhood, so be prepared for that. We were two adults and two teenagers. The curtain separating off the day bed gave our teens privacy and they were comfortable. We'd stay here again if we wanted to be in this part of the city.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers.
Owner response: Thanks Kelly! We loved having you stay with us. You were perfect guests, and we look forward to you staying with us again for any other NYC trips.

We are a family from Australia, that stayed for a week in this apartment over New Year. We could not have had a better location, right in the middle of all the action and access to anywhere in Manhattan with sub-way just at the door. We had a fantastic time, what an incredible city, we attended a New Years Eve party at Rosie O'Gradys (highly recommend) and was able to walk home from Times Square. The apartment was clean and comfortable and a big thank you to James and Sunny for the hassle free transactions. Would recommend this property to anyone thinking of staying in New York.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers.
Owner response: We were so lucky to have you and your family with us! We hope you come back as you were perfect guests.

My family and I stayed at the apartment for 5 nights. They were happy to received us and helped us getting to know the apartment and the area. The apartment was very clean and sharp and have a lot of ammenities, more than what we expected. The location and the views couldn't be better; in the middle of the action. Macy's, Victoria Secret's and a lot of stores and places to eat right across the street and/or walking distance. Time Square, Bryant Park, Manhattan Mall, and Radio Music City Hall very closed from the apartment (walking distance, too). We love the place and recommend it to anyone staying in NYC.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thanks so much for your kind words! We certainly enjoyed having you and your family and hope you come again. Happy New Year!

My wife and I visited New York City in mid-November. We had a fabulous time and can say that our enjoyment was significantly enhanced due to the 22nd apartment we rented from Sunny. It was very well located for visiting all the sites, the sub-way was convenient, we shared the apartment with another couple so having two bathrooms was much appreciated, it was clean and well furnished, and the price was reasonable. We did not meet Sunny, but James was there in her place to facilitate our visit. He was very helpful. Should we return to NYC we will be sure to see if her apartment is available for our next visit. Very Satisfied Guests!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+.
Owner response: It was wonderful to have you as our guests, and we do hope you come again!

This property worked out VERY well for us!! It's clean, spacious, updated and in the heart of everything with all the amenities we were looking for. We would definitely book this one again and recommend it to others!!! There were 3 of us and we never felt crowded. The full kitchen allowed us to stock up on breakfast & snack items. Being on the 15th floor completely minimized traffic noise. The subway stop is on the corner which allowed us to get anywhere in Manhattan quickly & effortlessly. Great shopping is nearby. Enjoyed going to Lucy's rooftop, outdoor "cantina" 2 blocks west for a late night light meal & cocktails. We really loved feeling like we were in the very heart of Manhattan!! James was a great help with any questions we had before, during and after our stay. We look forward to a return stay!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We were in the unit on 15th floor. Everything was new. Apartment was spacious. Nice King bedroom for my wife and me, my 17 year old son was on the futon/couch and my 15 year old daughter was on the trundle. Living room was large enough that this worked out great with the divider. Bathrooms and kitchen all surprsingly large. Had everything we needed. Location is great. We were traveling by train, and Penn station is just a couple blocks away. Times Square was easy walking distance from the building. Subway station on the corner. Duane Reade (convenience store) a block away. And of course Empire State building is at end of block making it easier to be there early to beat the lines. Sunny was great to work with getting everything set up, and James made the check in /check out process very easy. We absolutely recommend to anyone and would be privilged to stay here again. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay in NYC. PS: Rosa Mexicano is a must - 5 minute cab ride to Broadway and 18th. The short ribs were amazing.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

This is a great property located in a fantastic location. The apartment was clean and well equipped. The owner, Sunny, was so easy to deal with and very accomodating and James, the property manager, was equally as helpful. The 24 hour front desk staff was very friendly and helpful also. I would definitely stay again and would highly recommend the property. We were within walking distance to everything. Penn Station is a few blocks away. We will defintely return. Thank you Sunny!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We recently stayed in the C7 apartment on the 22nd floor and had a great vacation. The apartment was spacious and very clean. It was large enough for a family of 4 to spread out and have their own space. From the moment I contacted Sunny about the apartment, I was greeted with prompt, courteous service. Once we made final preps to come into the city, Sunny was not in town, but James was just as helpful. He was even willing to get us into the apartment a bit early. We arrived on Amtrak and the apartment was an easy, one block walk from Penn Station and we always felt very safe in and around the apartment. Herald Towers seems like a very nice place. Tenants were nice to us, as was the front desk staff. The views from our apt. were AMAZING (we could see 1 World Trade Center, Statue of Liberty, and the Flat Iron building from our windows) and it was very quiet with little street noise able to be heard. One thing that impressed me was the water pressure and hot water...we had more than enough of both, which made for a relaxing end to long days! There were a few things I would have liked to see improved. First, one of the windows in the bedroom was off the track and the wind whistled through it a bit. Second, the hideaway sofa bed was very rickety and missing some hardware. It wasn't a huge deal b/c we just rolled the trundle bed out from under the day bed and put it on the other side of the curtain to give the kids separate spaces. However, if you were needing that space for a 5th person it would be disappointing. Finally, I would have liked to see some kitchen towels to dry dishes/wipe counters. Overall, the place was great and it spoiled me to all other trips to NYC...completely beats mid-level hotels which are tiny and lacking a homey feel. I would not hesitate to work with Sunny and James and stay at Herald Towers again. Thanks for a great vacation!! Your place is perfect!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

As others have said, this is a wonderful location! The building is great, very large and we always felt safe, even doing laundry on the 3rd floor at night. We are a family of 4, parents with two teenagers. They slept in the living room and had their separate beds (which was great) and we enjoyed the VERY large master bedroom (and that king bed was very comfortable!) One of the best things was the two bathrooms; especially with an 18 year old daughter who needs her bathroom tiem & space. The kitchen is small but all we really used it for was breakfast items and wine & beer in the fridge! We walked all over the city, but did the occasional subway which is close and cabs were easy to find too. Sunny was very helpful prior to our trip and since she was out of the country while we were there, her assistant James was very nice too. If you want a place with lots of room (compared to a hotel room) and in a GREAT location, this is your place. We went from here to DC for three days and were in a double/double in a Hyatt. Believe me, being cramped up in a hotel room, we really, really mised our NYC apartment!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We visited NYC on business in January. This was the 20th time we've visited the city on business. We have stayed at a variety of hotels and apartments over the years. This was by far one of the better places we have stayed. The location was perfect, right in the middle of the city. The Empire State Building is a few doors down. The big Macy's is around the corner and Times Square is not too far of a walk. The apartment was spacious (for a NY apartment). The beds were comfortable and Sunny was very sweet. She was very attentive to our needs and she knows the area quite well.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
