Hello all you vacationers out there. First let me thank you for taking the time to look at the newly renovated 'Marlin'. The Marlin is a 2 bedroom one bath unit which sleeps 6 people. The building has three units total.
More importantly!!!!! it is steps from the beach. The Marlin is less than 100 steps to the beach.
The unit has a large parking area that can accommodate a boat and trailer and both public boat ramps are no more than a 2 minute drive away.
There is also a gas grill and an outdoor sitting area with tables and chairs.
In the front there is a covered area with more chairs so you can get some shade but still be outside enjoying the beautiful island weather. The street The Marlin is on is tucked back in and because it is not a through way and because there is no public parking, the street is hardly traveled and perfect for children.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Cat's condo. The condo was just as pictured and described on VRBO - clean and well-stocked. Our kids and I loved and enjoyed the pool! I was thankful that the beach was close and easy to get to; no crossing a major road because we have 3 children including a toddler. My girls and I appreciated being able to walk to Publix, souvenir shops and local restaurants. We also enjoyed renting bikes that were conveniently delivered to the condo. My husband and son enjoyed lots of off-shore and local pier fishing. It was a pleasure to get to meet the owner, Cat. We were not disappointed at all and hope to return.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, age 55+, tourists without a car, girls getaway.

My husband and I just returned from our week at the Marlin and we couldn't be happier! We were lucky to have had perfect weather all week, just a stones throw to a gorgeous beach. Cat was wonderful, always giving us a locals perspective on good restaurants and sites. Love her!!! The apartment was well appointed with everything we needed for our vacation. If you're comtemplating renting at the Marlin, you won't be disappointed. DO IT!!!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, families with teenagers, age 55+, tourists without a car, girls getaway.

Clean & spacious unit. Well furnished and very comfortable. Owner was available and accommodating. Literally a few steps to the beach; walking distance to the surf shop, Publix, CVS, ice cream shop & more. And cycling distance of everything else. This stretch of the beach is wide and clean, not crowded & a good bike riding beach at low tide. Exceptional bargain with the Summer Special. Especially loved the outdoor shower! Can't wait to come back next year for Surf Camp!!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, age 55+, tourists without a car, girls getaway.

Cat, the owner of this property, is very helpful and a great source of local info about the island. We stayed in one of the 2BR units and found it quite comfortable and well-appointed. It's a great area - one short block from the beach, quiet, yet within walking distance of shopping. Anna Maria Island is our favorite location in all of Florida! We plan to return and definitely recommend it to others.Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, families with young children, pet owners, families with teenagers, age 55+, tourists without a car, girls getaway.

The place is lovely, the beach is wonderful. The unit is simple but comfortable. Normally I am not repeat the same place for my vacation but I will come back next year. The beach is very family-oriented. There isn't resort or big hotel nearby, only house and small apt. I love it. I want to say thank you to Cat, the owner, she was very helpful and sweet. I recommend this unit for everyone that want a relax place and beautiful beach for your vacation. Information : You can walk to Publix, it's great.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

My family and I stayed in all three units of the Marlin in July. The units were all clean and exactly as described. Cat is wonderful at communicating via email or cell phone. We thought we had a problem with air conditioning, and she sent someone to look at it right away. Turns out we had it on the wrong setting and it was fine! She came over personally once to check on us and even brought gifts for my niece and nephew. We locked ourselves out of one unit, and she came personally to let us in within minutes. I can't say enough good things about her and the unit. You can see the water from the corner of the unit. The beach is wide and beautiful. It could not be a better place. We love it and will definitely visit again. As I sit at my desk and reflect on our time on the island, I wish my toes were still in the sand! We just got back from spending 9 days in this beautiful two bedroom unit! Cat was just the best hostess you could ask for! She was knowledgeable about the island and had some brochures there regarding things I had inquired about prior to our arrival! It is literally steps from the beautiful beaches. We are already talking about coming again next year and possibly bringing family and friends with us!! Thank you Cat for your great hospitality. I'm giving your listing to my friend who wants to get her in-laws to the island!! My mom, daughter and I spent a week in the one bedroom condo. The condo was very clean and comfortable. There were plenty of towels. Cat, the owner, was very nice and helpful. She told us about some very good places to eat. Also, there are several places to eat and the grocery store just two blocks away. The beach is beautiful and very low key. We loved every min. of our stay. Thanks again Cat for your help and having a nice place to stay. We spent Spring Break in "Marlin". And it was a really great time! And we really enjoyed it! The property location is very convenient. It's indeed steps to the beach and to shopping / grocery / restaurants area. Beach and water in Gulf were really amazing. Swimming in very-very clear and sky-blue water... Seashells hunting (we found 3 sand dollars and a lot of beautiful seashells)... Viewing unbelievable sunsets from the beach... Beautiful white sand... We spent most of out time on the beach... It is not a luxury condo, but really very cosy and neat. It has everything you need for living there. I liked this feeling of living in beach house in beach town. And the rest to say - the owner is great person to deal with! Thank you Cat for everything!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, age 55+.

The Marlin is a home away from home. It was cozy, clean and quiet. My wife and I were on the island for a wedding and some R and R. The Marlin was a perfect fit. It's a stone's throw to the beach and is centrally located on the island. The owner, Cat, was a great help. She recommended some great restaurants and answered all of our island questions. This was such a great help. Better than any hotel concierge.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, tourists without a car.

We live on beautiful Anna Maria Island and hope that you have the opportunity to at least visit the island. We have lived on Anna Maria for almost ten years now and enjoy the cozy small island feel. Why the Owner Chose Holmes Beach:
When I moved to the island I fell in love with the small town feel. It was nice to walk into the post office, drug store or supermarket and hear 'Hi Cat' with smiles all around! I thought that other people would also enjoy getting to experience the tight knit community. So my cousin Sarah and I, set out to design the Marlin to accommodate family reunions or quick getaways. It makes us smile to be able to let someone else enjoy our island paradise. I hope that everyone that stays here will enjoy our island as much as I do and that it will be a yearly stop for many!
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
THE BEACH! a few steps and you are there! Then come back up for lunch, shower off in the outdoor shower and be back on the beach in no time at all. In the evenings, grill on the outdoor gas grill or sit and enjoy the night sea air and of course, most importantly don't miss a moment of the sunset. Less exciting but equally important is the Marlin offers free long distance calling, internet, cable TV, washer and dryer and a large parking area that can accommodate a boat and trailer.
