  We, my husband (37) and me (38), could unfortunatly stay only for one night. Finca Paraiso is a dream. Very lovely and luxury without any left wishes. We loved to stay there and highly recommend this Villa! It is located in a very beautiful area with lots of nature all around. the rooms are very large and lovely decorated. Ours had its own jacuzzi :-) Thanks again for everything to Ken who is a great host!

  We had a wonderful stay. Everything was exactly as "advertised", but the grounds were even more beautiful in person, and the guest house was wonderful to stay in. Ken was welcoming, helpful, kind and accommodating. The bottle of wine and drinks in the refrigerator was a really nice "extra". We really appreciated Ken sharing his beautiful space with us.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

  Finca Paraiso is a flower garden paradise in the mountains just outside San Jose and there couldn’t have been a better host than owners Ken and Ale. My stay there was very enjoyable with the mountain views and hospitality of Ken and Ale. I would highly recommend a stay there if you plan on visiting the San Jose area. I plan on a return visit when in Costa Rica.

  I discovered Finca Paraiso at B&B.com and made reservations for Oct 2011. I usually rent a vehicle so the drive of about 30 minutes was not only interesting but exciting as well. The roads in CR are not well marked and are somewhat bumpy with a fair share of potholes. For the directionally challenged, the innkeeper might consider meeting the guests at the airport as an escort or taxi. On arrival, I was overwhelmed by the inspiring beauty of the property. The views are stunning. The grounds are superbly manicured and provide vast space for exploring and enjoying the peace and solitude of nature. There were hundreds of different plants, flowers, and trees. There is even a trout pond with waterfall. And, there is a mountain stream with many waterfalls that can be traversed. The inn has an indoor heated pool with a steam room too! As if all this isn't enough, my jaw dropped when I entered the suite. It was a villa with the space of three hotel rooms. The refrigerator was stocked with juice, bread, cheese, jam/jelly, and other foods. There was a fine bottle of wine as a welcome gift. It included a fireplace, living area, whirlpool tub, oversized queen bed, ample closet space and a bathroom with a large shower. There was television with DVD and cable service. Wired internet was also a feature. The room included a terrace with a table for enjoying meals outdoors. But the best part were the windows that surrounded the suite affording beautiful views of the mountains and valleys. I enjoyed time soaking in the quiet which allowed precious rejuvenation, physically, mentally, and spiritually. The innkeeper and his wife were very helpful in suggesting places to go and also in providing directions. They also provide a complimentary dinner of rainbow trout from the pond. A very delicious meal. I highly recommend Finca Paraiso. It will be my getaway of choice when visiting CR in the future. Pura Vida!

  Thank you for allowing my family and myself the opportunity to vacation at your beautiful home. It was a paradise on the hill, quiet, private and very comfortable. Your description of the property was very accurate. Waking up to that spectacular view of the mountains and surrounding country side was amazing. The unique interior design and the beautiful gardens were breathtakingly gorgeous. The onsite staff was pleasantly accommodating and polite and efficient. The effort and details you took in providing an at home atmosphere was more that we expected. This vacation is one my entire family will remember for years to come. Thank you again

  Stayed for a week during Feb. of this year. It is everything as pictured and stated on the VRBO page for property. Location was about 30 minutes from airport. The appearance was even more lovely than shown on photos. First time I have seen wild orchids growing out of a rock wall. Grounds were beautifully tailored and home was immaculate. Owner was very helpful and answered all questions very clearly. Location is fantastic, near the active volcano and a beautiful spa. We rented a car and toured the rain forests and the hummingbird park.plus the rain forest. There are some very nice restaurants in Santa Barbara, particularly a fish restaurant where we ate several times, and prices were very reasonable. We plan to return next year. I would recommend this property to anyone.
