Welcome to our beautifully furnished, 2800 square foot custom home on the slopes overlooking the Never Summer Mountain Range.
We are partially surrounded by Granby Ranch (formerly SolVista), a large, self-contained winter and summer resort, nearby renown Winter Park Ski Resort, local restaurants, and pubs. We are located half way between Winter Park and picturesque, historic Grand Lake, an easy 20 minute drive in either direction. Grand Lake is at the door to spectacular Rocky Mountain National Park, home to secluded lakes, hiking trails, and abundant wildlife. Lake Granby, Shadow Mountain Reservoir, Willow Creek Reservoir, Williams Fork Reservoir, Meadow Creek Reservoir, and the Colorado and Fraser Rivers are all within two to fifteen miles. Boating and fishing opportunities abound.
The resort's 18 hole "Headwaters" golf course undulates through the Fraser river valley, offering serene mountain views, and is located just up the road from our house. Three other fantastic golf courses are within a 20 minute drive.
"SolVista Ski Basin" is also just around the corner from our house, and is considered one of the best family oriented ski areas for beginners and children. The newly remodeled ski lodge contains the wonderful "Seven Trails" restaraunt & bar, a warm & friendly spot for a break or to watch the kids finish their runs. SolVista Basin includes a Terrain Park, affordable ski lessons for the little ones, and a free tubbing hill for you and your kids. The convenience, efficient design, and easy, no hassle access of this intimate ski area, are often the main reasons cited by our guests for booking with us.
Our guests also love this house. Do you feel like relaxing with your coffee on the deck as the morning sun illuminates the mountain peaks...catching the hummingbirds compete for nectar outside our kitchen window...watching the sunset softly silhouette the mountain valleys...or kicking back in front of the fireplace while the lights of Granby twinkle in the distance? Do them all....you're on vacation! The main floor Living, Dining and Kitchen/Snack Bar area is spacious and open for your family's entertainment.
