Ideal mountain escape. This is a true mountain cabin with all the atmosphere you would expect. A-frame chalet style hide-a-way nestled in the trees on a quiet cul-de-sac street with no through traffic. Close to everything yet feels miles away. Just a short walk to ski lift, golf course, wildlife zoo and hiking/biking trails. Less than a 5 minute drive to shopping, dining, nightlife, boating, swimming, fishing and much more! There is even a fenced yard area for your four-legged companions. After enjoying a day on the slopes or one of the other endless choices of activities and entertainment that Big Bear has to offer, relax in front of the large wood burning fireplace, watch the game or a favorite DVD on a new flat screen TV, grill something delicious on the deck BBQ, watch the kids sled ride outside your window or take a relaxing soak in your private hot tub.
This well maintained cabin is three levels. The upper level is a very cozy loft bedroom with a queen bed that is screened from the living area below by built in closets and feels like a secret tree house hide-a-way. The middle level is the main living area with living room, dining, kitchen, den and full bath. The den has a queen futon and can be used as a 3rd bedroom. There is a sliding glass door to the large deck surrounded by trees and with a view to the slopes and mountains beyond. The lower level is the master bedroom with a king bed and private bath. There is also a laundry room with washer and dryer for your convenience. There is a small deck off the master with a very private hot tub that is also accessible from the main level deck. All bath and bed linens are provided and the entire cabin is meticulously cleaned and sanitized for every guest. There is off street parking for 2 cars and room for your boat or OHV trailer as well.

I had a nice time at the cabin, it was in a beautiful area with nice places to walk with my dog. The balcony was great overlooking trees and very peaceful. I would caution anyone with back or knee problems there are some very steep stairs that are difficult to use if you have these issues, also my dog was terrified of the stairs because they are more like ladders which don't work too well for dogs. Other than that I would definitely recommend if you want a nice comfortable, cozy place to stay in Big Bear.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

We had such a wonderful time inside the cabin and right outside the front & back door! We were lucky enough to get there on wednesday with just a little snow around and stay thru a mini winter storm with snow! Everything about this cabin is exactly what you would want when going on a mountain retreat. The neighborhood is absolutely beautiful. The inside is cozy, yet roomy enough for the my mom, son & I to spread out for a little r&r. I was blown away at the view of Bear Mountain ski right from the deck. I really could go on and on but it's better if you just go and stay for yourself !!!! The owners are extremely awesome to deal with ... even last minute. Thank you so much Kerry & Shiela, oh and Lysa, too!! We hope to return soon & hope you enjoyed our lil snowman :)Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, pet owners, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, sightseeing, families with young children.

Dear Kerry and Sheila, Thank you so much for making your cabin available to us over the MLK Weekend. We found the cabin to be a perfect fit in our search to stay in a cabin that had a “mountain character” and feel. The location up on the hillside, with a rear deck looking down the mountain and into trees was absolutely lovely. My wife and I were really able to relax and find great warmth and comfort in the cabin after a couple of hikes in the Big Bear area. I think the best part was that it felt as if time slowed down while in the cabin, allowing us to recuperate, reflect, and enjoy some quiet time without interruption. Thank you again for sharing your cabin with us, we hope to come back again in the future. Warm regards, A. We are from Hawaii and our family enjoyed our first "White Christmas" in Big Bear. Rented the cabin for a week from 12/22-12/28/11 and had an absolute wonderful time! Cabin was perfect and cozy for our family....Kerry was great to deal with. Kids had a great time sledding in the backyard, and despite brrrrr weather...managed to jump in hot tub a couple times. Would definitely recommend this cabin...walking distance to Bear Mountain and close drive to town. We look forward to our next visit in Big Bear :). Thank you Kerry!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children.

Absolutely a perfect cabin! Great place for a trip with the family. The loft was great for the teen girls, the den accomodated the boys, and the downstairs master was spacious (even had a washer/dryer). Walking distant to ski slopes, sledding area right on the side, and a hot tub (there was also a nice balcony to enjoy during warmer weather)! Cozy fireplace to sit in front of after a day of fun! Also, excellent communication with owners and manager. We absolutely loved our vacation and stay!!!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, pet owners, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, sightseeing.
