There's nothing quite like sitting outside watching the sun rise enjoying a cup of coffee, fresh eggs from the farm, and a tomato picked from the vine. Or, a lazy afternoon under a shade tree with a good book and iced tea. Or, a family night with board games. Or, holding a conversation with a couple of ducks, watching horses graze...This is what Stone Turtle Ranch is all about.
If life brings you and your family to southwest Oklahoma, why not make a farm vacation out of it? We are more than happy to help you find the hidden treasures of our area.
Our location is awesome! On a hot summer day, we love to go to Lake Lawtonka which is right down the road. When we are too lazy to scramble our farm-fresh eggs, we love to grab a 'world famous' Meers burger in the old mining 'town' of Meers, or a delicious slice of pie at the country diner, Ann's. On some afternoons when we need a break, we mozy on over to the small historic cobblestone town of Medicine Park via the scenic road along Lake Lawtonka's shoreline. After enjoying a nice lunch, browsing the gift shops, nothing tops it off like dipping our toes in Medicine Park's bath lake while chatting with the turtles. On cooler days, we love to hit the hiking trails in the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge and chat it up with Freddy the buffalo. Carefully, though; they run pretty darn fast. Of course, Oklahoma is notorious for its fast changing weather. No big deal, there are always a few museums on Fort Sill (only a 10 hwy mile drive) and in Lawton.

About the owner: We are the Blaylock girls. We established Stone Turtle Ranch in 1994. Our German heritage can be seen on our small hobby farm in Southwest Oklahoma. We love nature and animals and have created a peaceful oasis for many feathered and four-legged companions.

We live in a beautiful area close to the best (in our opinion) of what SW OK has to offer.

You are able to enjoy a beautiful pastoral setting. You may hear a rooster in the morning, see the flock of geese moving one after the other from place to place. You may hear a horse whinnying in the back yard. You may hear birds chirping or be able to watch them at the feeders. You may see native wildflowers on your walk on our nature trail. It is an opportunity to enjoy a country experience.
