  This house was an very good choice. The location was great as it is a short walk to the beach in an area that is not overly crowded. The pool area was a nice place to hangout after spending a day at the beach. Would recommend this place for families with kids.

  Recommended for: Families with young children, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

  A beatiful partial input from one the client who stayed from June 20-27, 2010. Hi Bob! Hurricane Alex is hitting the coast as a level 1 hurricane right now. Things are getting pretty ugly there and it seems we left just in time. It was absolutely beautiful when we were there. The water was clean and calm. There were some jelly fish but they were mostly around the north beach area. The highlight of our stay was finally getting to watch a turtle hatchlings on Sunday. We have never had our island stays line up for that experience before and it was awesome to watch. Your beach house is fantastic. I wanted to let you know............

  Not as described!!! The description says that there are bikes to use...they all had flat tires and are so old and rusty that they won't even move. We were left with only 2 bath towels in each bathroom (total of 6) and there was 8 of us staying there. BUGS GALORE...my son woke up with a caterpillar on his pillow and there was sooo many that we had to check the room before we went to bed each night. There was some sort of rodent poison in the downstairs bedroom and the hot tub was barely warmer than the pool...NOT the dream vacation we had planned on!!!! The only upside is the pool and that got super dirty from a thunderstorm the second day we were there and no one ever came to clean it after the storm.

  Owner response: 1. A broken chain from 1 out of 4 bikes was discovered and replaced as the normal checkup right after this client checked out- This bike poor condition could be repaired immediately if Patricia, the local property manager was informed. 2. No bugs nor insects was reported from the 4 families who stayed after this client- Typical in the island, particularly after the storm, doors and windows shall be closed to avoid this situation if any. 3. Heated spas photos with instructions are provided on-site for ease of operating of the spas. This situation could be avoided if the client to contact Patricia, the local property manager for assistance. 4. We have the pool service on-call and free of charge. Additional pool cleaning as needed upon receipt of client request, especially right after the heavy storm. 5. Patricia, the local property manager contact is provided on-site. Client shall contact Patricial anytime during your stay you for assistance. Please review other outstanding reviewer's inputs for completion of your evaluation of our beachfront with private pool and heated spas single-family home.

  My family of 4 rented this property for a week and it exceeded our expectations. The pool was great, the location was even better. Crossed the street to the beach and enjoyed the ocean everyday. Property was clean, and had everything that we could want. As a first time home renter, I was amazed at the entire process...counldn't have been any better. We will stay here again on our next trip to SPI.

  This property was very spacious for 8 adults. Very clean and neat. Beautiful views from the top balcony and the backyard was great. We really enjoyed the house and would defenitely come back.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing.

  Great location, great location. Closer to the beach than the picture appears. Kitchen was nicley equiped. The pool/beach toys were a great feature. I would highly recoomend and would visit again.

  Our trip to South Padre Island was great. The property was just as described and was nice a clean and comfortable.We enjoyed the hot tub and the pool a lot. The pool cleaner came immediately when called, as there had been high winds the day we arrived so everything was looked after. The beds are great, there is lots of privacy for everyone as well as common areas to enjoy. The house is equipped with everything you need including laundry facilities, a great bonus. Bring your beach towels! The view of the Gulf is magnificent - access to the beach is very convenient and wonderful for running or walking. We would love to come back again.

  Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, sightseeing.

  we had a super, fabulous time at this gorgeous beach house! there was sooo much room, so comfy and they have THE most amazing veranda that has a perfect view of the sand and water. my family will return again soon and as often as we can!! i wish i could keep it as MY own secret but they deserve a shout out since we thorougly enjoyed ourselves that week! thanks, robin & C in Austin, TEXAS

  When we arrived at the rental it was in the evening. So when we got inside I was pleasently suprised at how nice the house looked and spaciouse. I was a little disappointed with the pool and hot tub. We traveled a long way and had a long day and we were all looking forward to getting into the hot tub to relaxe on our first night of vacation and when we went out to check it out the hot tub was freezing cold and the pool and hot tub were very dirty. We spent our first night instead of relaxing in the tub but cleaning the pool and the hot tub out so that we could us it in the morning. Also while we were there enjoying the back yard the maide just entered the back yard without any notice. I kind of felt as though our privacie had been invaded. We did not ask for this service so I had no idea why they (herself, child & husband) came in to do this. This should have been done before our arrival. Other than that we had a great stay and enjoyed the most beautiful sunrises. thank you for leting us rent your beautiful home. We were also there durring spring break and we had no problems with that at all.
