Cottage is located within easy walking distance to the pristine beach and pool/dock area. Four (4) adult bikes are included. Cottage has 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths. Bedroom configuration is King, Queen and 2 Twins. Sunroom offers a great place to relax and enjoy nature all around. All bedrooms have LCD TVs and the family room has a 50' Plasma and Blu Ray player. Wi-Fi internet access is available (and free). We even offer free streaming Netflix for nights or rainy days. Dining room can seat 8. We provide linens and the 'little things' with a starter supply of soap, detergent, toilet paper, paper towels, dish sponge, etc.
The Inlet Cove is the best area to stay on Kiawah if you want a pool and nearby beach access. The pool in the Inlet Cove is large and secluded. Perfect for kayaking - can launch kayak at the dock and access the Kiawah River. Dolphins can also easily be seen in the Kiawah River (from dock or kayak), or by walking/biking to the end of the beach.
Happy to help make your stay a great one with any recommendations we can offer - just ask. We welcome the opportunity to share our cottage with others looking for wonderful vacation memories!

We spent the week at this cottage with our family and had a great time. The cottage was very nice and clean and makes you feel at home while being away. The cottage was shared between four adults and three children and everyone had plenty of space. While on vacation we spent time visiting Charleston, riding bikes around the island, swimming in the pool and ocean, playing golf, and walking on the beach. We are looking forward to visiting the island again soon.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, tourists without a car, girls getaway.

We just returned from the "Best Vacation Ever" per my school age children after staying in this beautifully renovated villa. The villa is lovely, clean, set in a shady, peaceful neighborhood off the Kiawah River. The sofa and chairs were so comfortable and the flat TV - huge. We enjoyed the sunroom that opens into the living space; allowing a separate indoor living space to play cards, read while others watch TV, etc. The kitchen is quite pretty with lovely cabinetry and a high efficiency washer and dryer tucked in on the side. Great spacing and surprisingly roomy with lots of storage space for anything you need. The master king size bed was very comfortable (pillow top mattress). I was most impressed by the little touches the owners have put into this villa to make your week easy, from soaps, detergents for dish washer and clothes washer... to timely responses to any question about the island , restaurants, etc. Inlet Cove is tranquil with full time residents (often retired) who are welcoming and helpful. It was surprisingly closer to Beachwalker's Park than I had imagined. We rode our bikes and carried our stuff on a bike trailer, detached the trailer and pulled it to the beach. Really, it so easy and the bike ride was delightful. My mother used one of the owner's bikes which was in great shape and enjoyed feeling young again. We brought our own bikes to ride. Beachwalkers is great b/c it is on the end of the island: you can beachcomb away from homes, they have a guarded beach during summer hours or w/es,and they have outdoor showers and bathrooms. The owners have a wagon to pull little ones to the pool. The pool was large, shady with a small baby pool that our toddler enjoyed. We rented tandem kayaks for the week and spent most earlier mornings out on the river with the children. My oldest two saw a huge loggerhead turtle surface to look at their kayak. We saw an amazing amount of wildlife; dolphins on the river, a wild turkey with her chicks, a small gator, great blue herons..... The villa isn't stocked with tons of games, etc that you may find in old beach cottages,so bring your own if you like playing board games. We brought ours... but spent our time outdoors or visiting Charleston (old haunt for us, beautifuly historic bldgs - best food in the lowcountry). Beautiful, clean villa; responsive, courteous owners; great setting = incredible family vacation. Highly recommendRecommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We had a wonderful time staying at this beautifully appointed cottage. The kitchen is lovely and has the basics we needed to prepare meals. The cottage was close to the dock and pool; very short bike ride to Beach Walker Park to enjoy the surf and sand. It was very quiet and relaxing. We hope to visit Kiawah again. Thanks for sharing your cottage with us!!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: So glad to hear you enjoyed your stay and liked the new kitchen! It was a pleasure sharing it with your family.

We enjoyed our time at this cottage. It is easy to get to and nicely appointed. The cottage was very close to the beach. We stocked up the kitchen at the grocery store nearby and felt right at home. We rented another bike from Alligator bike rentals and rode all around. Kiawah is an easy drive to Charleston. The appliances and wireless all worked great. Working with the owner was simple and easy, which I appreciate!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you! Glad you were so comfortable at the cottage and hope to have you back someday. It was a pleasure helping make the process as simple as possible.

A most excellent vacation. The house was beautiful and felt like home. The beach was a short walk or bike ride and very pristine. There were paths throughout the community so you could go anywhere you needed to without a car. The village with grocery store, drug store, and shops was only 1.5 miles away. There was an excellent nature center. The pool was refreshing. The whole area was beautifully maintained, not to mention very quiet. We were able to relax at home, at the beach or pool, kayak, take nature tours on a boat, explore Charleston, etc. Preserving nature's beauty, wildlife, plant and bird life is a priority on Kiawah. Best vacation ever.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: So happy to hear that you had your "best vacation ever" staying at our cottage! I hope we can help you have many more wonderful vacations in the future. Thank you for your review and for choosing our cottage - we'd love to have you back :)

This cottage on Kiawah Island was like my family's home away from home! The cottage had everything we needed for a comfortable stay from a fully stocked kitchen to washer & dryer to flat screen televisions to bicycles and even a gas grill. The cottage was very clean and stocked with lots of information about the island's shops & restaurants and even nearby Charleston, SC. The cottage is a 5 minute bike ride to the beach...perfect for traveling with children. The owner was extremely easy to work with and made our trip planning a breeze. There was a ton of communication between us & she answered all of the questions I had about the cottage and the island. I will not stay at another cottage in Kiawah...It was absolutely amazing!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you for your review. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and appreciated all the "extras". It was a pleasure to help make your stay a great one!

We stayed in this lovely home over Easter/spring break this year. We have stayed all over Kiawah and this was by far our favorite place. The house had everything we needed. It is well kept, clean and the description on VRBO is very accurate. We were close to the beautiful pool and just a short walk or bike ride from the beach. The best part of this rental, for our family , was the access to the river. My kids fished, kayaked and went crabbing off the dock all the time. There is a beautiful deck overlooking the river that has the most beautiful sunset. We also biked all over the island. Needless to say, we have an active family and took advantage of everything. Grandparents were also on the trip and they relaxed on the beach, lounged by the pool or read in the sunroom (if they weren't keeping up with the grandkids) Overall, this is a great house for a family vacation.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you so much for your review. We LOVE the dock too - we try to kayak daily when we're there as I can't get enough of seeing the dolphins! It was a pleasure renting to your family and we look forward to hearing from you again.

After a long drive, my husband and two children were smiling ear to ear when we stepped into this wonderfully decorated, very clean, charming coastal cottage. What a great place! The furnishings are very nice, the beds were so comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. We rode the bikes on the beach (what a treat) and enjoyed the community pool. We loved the view of the marsh, especially the sunsets, and sitting in the evenings on the sunroom to play games. The homeowners are exceptionally nice and very responsive and we were very pleased with our stay. We would definitely re-rent this home and recommend it to others visiting Kiawah, John's Island, and Charleston.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: We are so happy to hear that your family loved our cottage as much as we do! We searched for many years to find the perfect location and have worked hard to make it a very comfortable and relaxing retreat. Thank you for the review and we look forward to hearing from you again soon - would love to have you back!

My husband and I were tired of the Winter ice & snow and decided to get away in March this year. The cottage was very clean and beautiful. My daughter & one year granddaughter decided they would go with us; so the bedroom scheme with two bedrooms on one side of the cottage and the master bedroom on the other worked out perfectly. The owner was very helpful with helping us to locate a bicycle service on John's Island. The service had the bicycle & cart there, awaiting our arrival. Two other bicyles were provided by the owner. We utilitzed these every day. We rode on the beach, around the island, and to the Freshfields Market. Although the weather was not perfect, we had a relaxing time. We returned home refreshed & ready to resume our regular routines.Recommended for: Age 55+, adventure seekers, families with young children, tourists without a car.

About the owner: Mom, dad and two little girls enjoy visiting this cottage whenever we can get away! Favorite activites... eating breakfast in the sunroom, kayaking, beachcombing, finding the dolphins, playing in the pool and biking everywhere!
Why the Owner Chose Inlet Cove:
We found Kiawah in 2000 while celebrating our wedding anniversary. We were never interested in visiting the same place twice before then... but we were hooked and have been back every year since. It is a lifelong dream to own this cottage and share it with our children. We hope that we can help others fall in love with Kiawah as we have. We especially love kayaking and watching the dolphins - the strand feeding is amazing. When you are able to stand on a 10 mile beach and not see anyone else, you know that you have found something special.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
Dock access for kayaking, fishing, crabbing
Beautiful, large, secluded community pool
Great location on island -close to everything, but away from the hustle
Only a 5-7 min peaceful walk to beach (bikes get you there even faster)
