Smokey Mtn Luxury Waterfall Log Cabin, Peaceful 35 Acre Estate

The minute you walk through the front door of the cabin you’ll marvel at the collection of tasteful furnishings that make each room comfortable yet sophisticated. The cabin combines the look of a Colorado lodge with the upscale style of upscale homes often featured in magazines. There are many mixtures of rustic and elegant…a bathroom with rough wood walls and an elegant European style vanity…rough hewn wood furniture with leather accents. It all comes together to create a space that will welcome you home after a day of exploration in and around Hendersonville.
This luxury cabin looks the part…with multiple decks on all levels. Surrounded by trees sitting on the top of the crest this cabin has views that explain why they are called the Blue Ridge Mountains. The soft blue hues of the mountain ranges in the distance provide the perfect backdrop for your stay. Spending time in the hot tub on the deck offering spectacular long range mountain views will definitely be something to write
Over 35 acres of beautiful land surround the cabin and when you drive into the estate you just know a great time awaits you. You can hike the nature trails exploring to your hearts content, fish for the many Lake Trout that inhabits the 2 acre lake (not for swimming). You can take advantage of the near by orchards offering apples, cherries and plums when in season.
Our properties are close to many things in the Western North Carolina area like the The Flat Rock Theatre, Tour the National Park Service’s Connemara, the former home to Pulitzer Prize winning poet, Carl Sandberg. Historic Downtown Hendersonville offers a serpentine Main Street, perfect for strolling as you enjoy the many art galleries, antique stores, unique shops and fabulous restaurants. Throughout the year there are many downtown festivals and events with the fall Apple Festival as one of the largest.
Within one hour of Hendersonville you can experience the rolling hills and equestrian countryside of Polk County known for their annual BBQ Festival, or Buncombe County’s eclectic city of Asheville with its world renowned Biltmore Estate, or you can take a beautiful drive to Brevard in Transylvania County and experience the “land of the waterfalls” and see numerous white squirrels! Rutherford County has a great deal to offer with the stunning views at Chimney Rock Park and Lake Lure.

The cabin was perfect! Roomy, yet cozy, clean and well-equipped. The hot tub was very nice especially after a day of waterfall exploring. My husband and I love this area...lots of hiking plus the charm of downtown Hendersonville and Asheville and all are easily accessed from this cabin. We will definitely be back!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

The cabin was beautiful. Close to everything & my son loved the trout pond....his first rainbow trout was caught there! It was very quiet and we could not have picked a better time to come... leaves were at peak! Scott was great to work with, clean nice home-highly recommend!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week staying at this lovely home. The weather was not so cooperative during our stay, however, there were many things to keep us busy. It was alot of fun to play PacMan and shoot a game of pool in the afternoons with a cocktail. The pictures do not do the place justice, as it really is a gorgeous home that is tastefully decorated. We cooked in most evenings, so it was nice to have such a fully equipped kitchen as well. My only complaint is that there was only 1 roll of toilet paper and 2 sheets of paper towels--and no hair dryer. All places we have stayed in the past usually provided these necessities. Also, it was a little unusual to have to make our own bed with linens provided after a long 12 hour drive. All in all though, it was a lovely week and would definitely stay here again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers.
Owner response: Jennifer, Thanks for the review and I am sorry about the toilet paper and towels, our standards are higher than that, but it looks like that got by us. The beds are normally made except when the cabin sits vacant for a period. That way the linens do not begin to spell. We do hope you come back and we will do better next time. Scott
