We absolutely loved this cabin! We stayed in February for a snowboarding trip to Vermont. Although this cabin isn’t located right next to Jay Peak or Stowe, it’s a manageable drive to either mountain. We actually loved the remote location and having our own yard to enjoy. The kitchen is equipped with a high-end Wolf range and high-end pots and pans. We enjoyed making some meals at the cabin rather then going out to eat three times a day. This is a wonderful place for a family vacation. The neighbor who owns a dog sled business was a great guy as well. Everything was ready to go when we arrived. There was plenty of firewood supplied for the wood burning stove, which we loved! Jordan and Kate (owners) were extremely helpful and provided us with plenty of information for restaurants, grocery stores, and things to do in the area. They also provided info on trails in the area to hike or snowshoe near the property. The cabin is well maintained and appears brand new. One thing to note is that the upstairs bedrooms are open, like a loft, and privacy is limited upstairs. Also, there is a TV/DVD player, but no cable at the time that we went. That certainly did not spoil our trip, as we were prepared with movies and an Apple TV!!! Bottom line, we loved this cabin so much that it was hard to leave…..we just wanted to stay and enjoy the cabin and surroundings!!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, pet owners, age 55+.

The cabin was exactly as described and four adults fit perfectly. The owners promptly answered all of our questions and were extremely helpful as we made plans for our trip. The area is lovely and we got lots of snow for our excellent New Year's trip. Highly recommended.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

I have stayed at this wonderful cottage a number of times with friends and family, in a range of seasons, and I would absolutely recommend it without reservation. It is situated in a wonderful part of the state for a host of outdoor activities, and is so comfortable you might just want to skip them, hunker down, and enjoy a book or a nice glass of wine. The last time I visited, the foliage was in full swing and the stars were unbelievable. I've enjoyed some great cross country skiing right out the door on a network of trails, and rambling on the back roads of the North East Kingdom. The cabin itself is charming, pristine, and beautifully crafted, with generous space in the kitchen for creating feasts for hungry adventurers. And on the right day, an outdoor shower can be sublime. The biggest downside to this place is having to leave.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, age 55+.

This idyllic cabin is perfectly situated in a gorgeous meadow surrounded by woodlands. It's set back off the road, and the road is a quiet one, so if you're looking for a get-away, this ought to do it. If you go in summer, there's plenty of great walking and hiking nearby, and if you go in winter, winter sporting and outing options abound. The cabin is beautifully built with fine craftsmanship throughout and is equipped with top-notch kitchen and bath appliances. A sunken living room offers a snug reading retreat, and has plenty of room for a family to enjoy games and quality time by the wood stove. A spiral staircase accesses one loft overlooking the meadow, and a ladder-stair accesses the opposite loft (great for kids) with views toward the woods. In the warmer months, an outdoor shower in one corner of an expansive deck is the perfect way to get refreshed after a day rambling around the countryside. The bathroom might be my favorite feature of the place, with custom finish work around the tub and sink--definitely worth a long soak just to enjoy the space. Whether you're a couple looking for a romantic hide-out, a family looking for a change of scenery or the adventurous sort up for some outdoor rambling, I couldn't recommend this place highly enough. Go once, and you'll want to go every year.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway.

This home is such a special place, we have stayed here twice now and will surely return again and again. This is simply one of the nicest homes we have ever rented. There are high end finishes everywhere in this house, an amazing gas range in the kitchen that made the most perfect pancakes, beautiful linens and thoughtful touches everywhere. Our daughter had a blast running through the fields and we had a great time roasting marshmallows over the bonfire. This home has everything, peace and quiet, open space, and a gorgeous interior with plenty of space and privacy for a big group. It was close to nearby activities and amenities and yet we had total privacy and peace at the house. The kitchen was such a lovely gathering spot and they have provided everything-even top of the line pots and pans. This place was so clean and everything felt brand new. The outdoor space was amazing, big decks and porches and open fields and hiking trails. The outdoor shower was just beautiful and a fun and whimisical addition. I would highly recommend this home to anyone. We stayed there when we attended a wedding nearby and were so glad we did. We can't wait to come back!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, age 55+.
Owner response: We are so glad you had such a wonderful time! Come back again soon! The Romms

This place is gorgeous! The cabin is spacious, but cozy. It was clean, well-maintained, and very tastefully decorated. And with so much land, it was the perfect getaway. We plan on getting back to this place at least once a year!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
