  We enjoyed this condo for the most part and the large space that it provided for us while on holiday. We also appreciated the location and proximity to the beach and restaurants which were wonderful. Having said that in all honesty the condo was not quite as clean as it could have been. There were dust bunnies in every bedroom and the area under the kitchen sink where the garbage is had lots of food debris stuck to the shelf (not very pretty and does not give confidence about how clean a place is). More effort should & could have been made on the cleaning of the condo before we took up residence for the week. I would also caution that as this is a lower level condo, there is a fair amount of noise from upstairs neighbours who were probably not doing anything unusual like partying or anything, but the floor/ ceilings are obviously not built to reduce noise etc. The only other drawback is that there is only one "convenience" type store in the La Jolla Shores area, so this means having to drive about 15 mins or so to get to a larger supermarket for necessities. Looks like there was a larger market on the main street some time ago, but it was closed and the space was up for lease. The other benefit of this condo is that there is underground secure parking with an elevator to condo level. Both these features are a definate plus for this place. Also the rental manager is prompt and business like with correspondence which is appreciated. We will be back to La Jolla but next time likely will stay up in the La Jolla Village/Cover area as closer to amenities.

  Owner response: We are glad to hear this family enjoyed the home and the location but are disappointed to hear about the items that were missed by the housekeepers. Unfortunately, it was not brought to our attention until we read this review. Had we been contacted when the problems were first discovered we would have had the housekeepers come back immediately to remedy the situation. They have been cleaning this home for several years and this is the first complaint we have received. Our realtor represents all three units in the building. He has never had anyone who has rented either lower unit comment about noise from the unit above. In regards to the distance to major grocery stores, Vons is less than a 5 minute drive from the home and Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, and Ralph’s are just a little over a 5 minutes’ drive away. There are three fine dining restaurants, a pizza place, sushi, ice cream, frozen yogurt, sandwich shop, several galleries, and rental shops all within a 45 second walk from the home. We encourage anyone reading this to read the other reviews as well.

  This townhome was perfectly located just 2 short blocks from the beach and less than one block from the shops and restaurants of La Jolla Shores. The home was extremely well-equipped (high-quality appliances, charcoal BBQ, beach towels and gear) and we especially appreciated the inclusion of cleaning supplies and paper products. The manager/owners were prompt and accommodating in correcting a (minor) maintenance issue. I would not hesitate to recommend this home to a friend and would absolutely stay here again. Thank you!

  Stayed at property with another couple to celebrate wedding anniversary, Comfortable, clean and spacious, this unit had everything we needed and the location was superb. Just around the corner from the beach, surf shops, small grocery/convenience store and great restaurants. We spent lots of time at La Jolla beach and traveled up the cost as well. Rental agent was responsive and helpful.

  We recently stayed at this property, it was the 2nd time vacationing in this location. Our entire family loves La Jolla Shores, and this condo is in the perfect spot. The beach, shops, restaurants...everything is within walking distance. My kids loved kayaking to the sea caves, next time maybe surf lessons! I would certainly recommend this condo.

  My husband, parents and our 19 month old toddler stayed here for a week and had a fabulous time. It's a perfect location with parking (and an elevator!) one block from the best playground & beach in La Jolla. Diving, surfing, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, restaurants, grocery store all within walking distance. The place is very nicely and comfortably furnished, perfect for a toddler to roam around (all one level, no stairs), great private back patio, very safe, quiet and comfortable. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants a great vacation. The agent and owners were more than accomdating, answering questions immediately and when we had an issue with the battery being dead on the thermostat, immediately came over to fix it. The kitchen is well supplied with dishes and pots/pans and silverware, the house has beach towels, beach toys for kids, beach umbrellas, beach folding chairs and a wagon to walk everything. The pack and play and booster seat were also perfect. You won't be disappointed!

  This condo had it all for a perfect week with my wife and 3 children two girls 8 and 10 and our 13 year old boy. The condo is one block off the beach so we would make camp at the beach and walk back to the condo for bathroom breaks or things we forgot to bring to the beach. There are 3 or 4 places to rent bikes, boggie boards, surfboards, stand up paddle boards or kayaks. This beach was beautiful and we went there every day. Dining is also around the corner with a wide variety of types of food as well as some of the best restaurants in San Diego. I checked out the best of before we went and 3 of the restaurants are around the corner. We tried Piatti's, Barbarellas, and the Marine Room and thumbs up for all of them. Also the Cheese shop for sandwiches we ate on the beach were to die for. The Condo was very comfortable and beautifully furnished. Their is a cool deck in the back for hanging out and barbecues. I would highly recommend this place and we will be coming back. Oh yea we parked our car underground and never once used it to go anywhere with. Everything is in walking distance.
