We thoroughly enjoyed the week that we spent at this lovely cabin! It's meticulously decorated and very comfortable. We loved lounging and dining on the back deck, which is surrounded by trees and feels very private. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook several family meals. The short walk to a grocery store or to lunch at Chambers Landing was also very convenient. We had an excellent dinner at the West Shore Inn in Homewood, just a short drive from the cabin. Our favorite beach was at Sugar Pine Point State Park, just a few miles from the cabin. Altogether a wonderful stay!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

We stayed here over the Holidays and could not have been happier. The home is recently remodeled and beautifully decorated with cozy furniture, colorful rugs, and rustic art. The home features a great room with a well appointed full kitchen, very large round dining table big enough for 10+, several large, comfortable couches and stuffed chairs, and a great wood burning fireplace which we used for heat, ambiance, and for making s'mores. Downstairs is a TV room and most of the bedrooms. Everything about the house is high quality. It is located on a spacious lot that is very near 89, but far away to be quiet. We made snowmen in the front yard and did snow angels in the back. Homewood, Alpine Meadows, and Granlelibakken are an easy drive, as are a variety of cool little restaurants. Overall, it is a great location. We'll be back!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Year Purchased: 2009
About the owner: We have had other homes in Tahoe (Incline Village, etc.) and find Tahoma is the best. You know what they say, 'West Shore is the Best Shore!'
Why the Owner Chose Tahoma:
The Tahoma area on the West Shore still feels like OLD TAHOE! The rest of the Lake has become too commercialized. People are friendly. Several great State Parks and Beaches close by and Emerald Bay just down the road..You're surrounded by Ski Areas in the Winter and Beaches in the Summer!!
The Unique Benefits at this House:
The Home is located on the 1960 Olympic Cross Country Track. There are miles of Hiking and Cross-Country Skiing trails nearby. Rubicon Trail trailhead 1 mile away. Boat Launch Ramp at Obexer's 1 mile away...
