My husband and I stayed 4 nights at this cute rental conveniently located right in the historic district. Perfect for two! Loved the clean fresh decor and the warm welcome we received from the owner! Even though the weather was a bit rainy during our stay, it was still an easy walk to the Riverfront and local restaurants. The owner gave us some very good restaurant recommendations that were spot-on! We brought our little Papillon and she thought the courtyard was made just for her. Would stay there again in a heartbeat - highly recommend!

The home is nicer and larger than in the photos. The owner met us at the house upon our arrival and answered all our questions regarding the house. Since this was our first trip to Savannah we were a little concerned about the location but it turned out just fine. Jones Street is the most beautiful street we saw in Savannah. The house was very clean and the enclosed courtyard was great. Parking was not a problem. We had to move the car to the other side of Jones Street for street cleaning but it was still right outside the house where we could see it. We didn't use the car all weekend. We brought our Yorkie-poo puppy with us so when we went out to eat we had to go to restaurants with outside eating areas. These are not hard to find in Savannah. We had breakfast at Cleary's and J. Christophers. They were both a short walk from the house. This house is centrally located and within walking distance of everything you would like to see. We would highly recommend this vacation home and will stay there again.

Wow! This is a great house in a great location. We parked our car right in front of the house and left it there for our entire stay as we were able to walk everywhere. The back patio is private and well maintained. We will return. Thanks, Betty!

My wife and I just stayed here for 6 weeks and this rental was just wonderful with everything we needed. The location in the Historic District enabled us to walk to grocerys, Church, many good restaurants, Forsythe Park, the riverfront, coffee houses, City Market, etc. On-street parking was always available right at our door. We especially liked this single story condo with no noise from neighbors above or below us. Betty was so friendly and accomodating. Check out her other rental on Tattnall Street. It looks very nice also. We would return to this rental and would recommend it to anyone.

Spent two nights at this neat little apartment. It's location was great, we able to walk all around Savannah and didn't need to use our car! It is pet friendly as well. Lovely Jones street was a great place to walk our dogs. Betty was great, and helped us with all our questions and gave recommendations as to what to see, do, and where to dine. The only draw back is since it is on a corner the side street traffic tends to be busy and somewhat noisy.

Betty met us when was a arrived to show us around the home which we appreciated. The home is beautifully decorated and well maintained. The location worked perfectly for us as we enjoy walking the streets of the downtown historic district. I would recommend this home 110 percent.

Last minute arrangements made for a mini gettaway to Savannah. My searched revealed this hidden treasure. Walking distance to River Street but still provide a place for peaceful relaxtions. The house is in a residental district that proved to be very safe. The house decor was beautiful and looked just like the pictures. It was also very clean and provided everything you need for your stay with the exception of Food. The shower and private courtyard were my golden nuggets. I would recommend this property and will consider this property for future trips to Savannah. The property owner Betty was very nice and made me feel welcomed.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The owner has great taste in decor and the towels and sheets were fantastic. She provided added touches like notepaper, books, brochures, magazines, cards. The location was great for getting around Historic Savannah, plus, it was a short drive to the beach. Just staying in was a pleasure, because it was so nice and the private courtyard was great too. Highly recommend.

This home was fantastic. We walked out the door and were able to walk to every place in the historic district. The home was furnished exactly as pictured!. Betty was fantastic, we didn't need to bring anything except food! And our dog loved the place. Savannah is very pet friendly! We would definitely stay here again or at Betty's other homes! Not only is the home located in a good location for walking the historic city , it was also very easy to get out on the main road to go to Tybee Beach. No parking problems, we parked right in front of the house. You will not be disappointed in this home and vacation.

My husband and I rented this lovely home on East Jones Street for our second anniversary. It is minutes away from some of the most beautiful homes in Savannah. The renter is friendly and overall we had an amazing time. Our dog especially enjoyed the ease of going in and out of the home into the back courtyard with ease. Everything about the place is well planned and beautiful. Thanks so much! We'll definitely be back.

This was a perfect little getaway for a girls weekend. Close enough to everything that we parked the car and walked most everywhere. Perfect for 2 adults and we could have accomadated a 3rd adult in queen bed if needed. Totally perfect. Nothing I would have changed. Had a great time and have already suggested the place to another person for a stay.

We were lucky enough to spend the month of February in Savannah, GA and extremely lucky to find this little house on E. Jones Street to use as our base. Not knowing anything about the city before our arrival, we relied heavily on Betty's extensive knowledge of the area. She was a pleasure to deal with from beginning to end. Everything in her description of this property is accurate - although the photos don't really do it justice. It's much roomier than it looks because of the very high vaulted ceiling in the main living area. The house was clean and beautifully furnished. It was very comfortable for the two of us. The neighbourhood is very safe and there is always plenty of (free) parking on the east end of Jones. The only time we had to move the car was to accommodate the street sweepers that came around twice a week - and that was no big deal. The house is close to absolutely everything in the Historic District. There is a large Kroger's grocery store and a liquor store within a couple of blocks and they are both easy to get to, with or without a car. Betty was an absolutely wonderful hostess - she was always available to assist and was always gracious and hospitable. Her restaurant recommendations were also "spot on" as well - we particularly enjoyed the Crystal Beer Parlor at the other (west) end of Jones Street. We wouldn't have known about it without Betty's recommendation as it's the sort of place "locals" know about. We really had a wonderful "inaugural" experience of Savannah and it was mainly due to Betty and our stay at this property on E. Jones. We hope to be able to return - again and again. We unreservedly recommend this property - and this property owner - for your stay in Savannah.

Our stay in Savannah was memorable because of our selection of this property. When we arrived, Betty was there to greet us and make us aware of all the amenities and answer our questions. From the moment we entered it was obvious that someone had decorated and planned for every need. It was comfortable and very convenient to explore the city. There are wonderful parks to walk to and everyone in the neighborhood was friendly. It felt like home. We would definately consider coming back for another visit.

This property was very clean and refreshing. Easy to find and easy to park. We really enjoyed the fact that we did not have to pay for parking like you do in every other city. Betty was very nice and respectable. I used the kitchen alot and Betty had everything there that I needed. Betty did let us bring our dog but you would never known that there was a dog before him that stayed there, I would recommend this property to anyone who likes a clean and neat place to stay.

My husband and our 2 yorkies spent a wonderful week in Savannah and this house was a perfect place for us. We took lots of long walks and it was definitely convenient to everything in Savannah. The dog park is just down the street and our dogs loved being able to just run free for a little while. The house is perfect and has everything you need. Loved the shower! We definitely plan to go back and stay at the house on our next visit to Savannah.

My daughter and our 2 little pups stayed at this property for a quick weekend trip to Savannah. The pictures give only a hint of how lovely this quaint house is! It is beautifully decorated and much more spacious than one would guess from the pictures. It is in a very safe area and within easy walking distance to parks, restaurants, and downtown Savannah. We parked right out front and did not get back into our car until it was time to leave. We highly recommend strolling down Jones Street - beautiful! Betty is a gracious property owner and very helpful with dinner suggestions or any questions you may have about Savannah. We would highly recommend this lovely place to anyone coming through Savannah and hope to enjoy it again ourselves someday!

I had the pleasure of staying in this lovely home the entire month of October 2011. This review is shamefully late. It was a truly wonderful stay in every way. The owner of the home is a lovely and wonderful person, the home itself is adorable and in a perfect location, walking distance to everything you really want to do in Savannah. Blocks from Forsyth Park, famous for its beautiful fountain, down to River Street for shopping and restaurants. If you love to shop and really take in the history of the place you are visiting then this really is the place for you. The home was very clean, had everything we needed and really comfortable. Really top notch. I hope to be able to stay another month in the next year or two and this is the place I will stay. There were a couple of folks who said there isn't much to do in Savannah, I did not find that to be the case. The people are lovely and we made friends just taking the dogs for a walk. I was never bored and I was there for 30 days! I really immersed myself in the culture and had a blast. I really loved the house, it made this trip for me what it was, something I will never forget and look back on with great happiness. I hope this review helps you make up your mind if you are on the fence with your decision. I really don't think you would regret staying in this home.

My Husband and I just left savannah today and we stayed 4 nights at this rental. It is perfect for two people. We took our small dog along for the trip also. Jones street is a very nice street, very quiet most of the time. The rental property was very clean!! It has a huge shower that is nice. A very nice private court yard. We will try to rent this property again when we come back to savannah. It was about a 10-12 minute wallk to river st. And if you don't feel like walking back just get a cab to bring you back for about $6.00. Hope you enjoy this rental as much as we did. Yadkinville, North Carolina

One word: PERFECT! The owner pays so much attention to detail...We loved the atmosphere - modern yet cozy... the kitchen was the perfect amount of space and well equipped for us to cook breakfast each morning before heading out to explore Savannah. We could easily walk to restaurants and River Street (about a 7-10 minute walk) and the a cab ride back later at night was less than $5.00 if you'd rather not walk. The walk towards the river was beautiful - we loved admiring all of the architecture on other houses and buildings nearby. The street was completely safe and though near the street, we were never bothered by any traffic - it's a pretty quiet street and neighborhood. Our stay was perfect and we plan to come back again very soon!

My family of 3 were so happy when we turned the key and stepped into the photographs that were portrayed for this listing!! EXACTLY what you see, is what you get...but somehow it's even better!! This property was clean and meticulously maintained. We are a bit "OCD" as a family, so we were thrilled to see such perfect ownership!! We would definately recommend this to any family of 4 or less, as the pull out Lazyboy sofa was perfect for our 17 year old. I would suggest a blow up mattress on top of the pull out though, even though it is brand new. We were probably the first ones to use it but seriously...has anyone EVER slept on a comfortable pull out? The owner Betty was easy to reach and personable. If it's your first time to Savannah as it was our's....let me give you the best tip! SKIP PAULA DEAN'S LADY & SON'S (the food was horrible, maybe all the build up but absolutely nothing was even close to "great food"), but do visit UNCLE BUBBA'S for some wonderful seafood. The charbroiled Oyster's were fabulous! It does get alittle expensive if you are an eating family though! For the three of us our bill was $148.00 and we only had three beers. Well worth it though..we enjoyed it tremendously. We went on a Sunday and they had a live band come and play outside on the deck. I doubt we will be returning to Savannah again. There simply was nothing to do...just eat and drink. The stores all closed by 5 p.m on a Saturday. Tybee Island is close by and we did visit, but the beach there is no comparison to Florida beaches. Tybee beach was more a dirt and shale beach not sandy, and the water was not clear. We did waste some time looking at the surf shops. If we do return...this is definately where we'll be staying though!!!

My family (husband, 6 yr old daughter, 16 yr old son) stayed here for a long weekend last week. Jones St is beautiful (very safe if you are wondering about the neighborhood). We went on a tour that included Jones St and the tour guide stated that the term "keeping up with the Jones'" is thought to have originated due to this prestigious street. It was breathtaking. The home was very, very clean and had all amenities. I would have liked the bedroom to be more private as it was somewhat uncomfortable having the kids be able to see through our wall (frosted glass panels cover 3/4 of the wall space) and bathroom had frosted glass door. It would have been perfect for a couple, but the ad did say it sleeps 2-4, so we went with it, and overall we are glad we did. The only other "complaint" I would have is the bed is very high off of the ground in a really cool storage unit type of station, but it was not comfortable being 5'2 trying to get in and out to go to the bathroom at 2 am. Otherwise, this sweet little home is amazing in every way, and would be extra special for a romantic get away. If you have one small child it may not be as much of an issue, but with 2 kids, especially a teen, you might find something else! Location cannot be beat!

Owner response: This house was renovated and designed to comfortably accommodate a single traveler, a couple, or a couple with up to two young children only, as described in the VRBO listing.

My husband & I were delighted with this perfectly appointed, truly comfortable & charming cottage, that's situated on a quiet corner in Savannah. It was well apportioned with a full kitchen, great linens, comfortable bed, & stylishly decorated. We were thrilled Betty had a desk with loads of brochures on local interests, restaurants & maps. Parking is not a problem here-in fact, we never moved our car during our short stay as everything is in walking distance. Hope to stay longer next time. We ate at Firefly Cafe the first evening (had soup and salad) and it was better than good-although pricey. Breakfast was enjoyed around the corner at J Christopher's and the food was good and reasonable on the wallet. We ate at Anna's at Market Place and had their Grits & Shrimp-it's the best! Betty is the consummate hostess & very easy to communicate with. She was very prompt & the only one to personally respond out of the three inquires we made re. accomadations. We would stay here again without a doubt. Thanks again Betty ~

For our first anniversary, we wanted to stay right in the historic district so we could park the car and just walk everywhere. This house was the perfect place for us. Small, cozy, extremely clean, beautifully decorated, comfortable, just everything we were expecting and more. A perfect choice for just two people. Loved having our morning coffee in the cute little courtyard. The owner was so friendly and helpful and even made a great suggestion for us to have a drink while we waited for check in time (Six Pence Pub) I have definately been recommending this house to all of my friends and family. We literally did not get into the car until time to leave. Jones Street is just beautiful and the Blue Orb Ghost Tour was a lot of fun. Oglethorpe Trolley was great and very enjoyable and informative. Can't wait to go back and March was perfect weather!!

This impeccably renovated home is absolutely stunning! Having stayed in almost every Bed and Breakfast in Savannah and traveling to the city often, this home is hands down the best location, most pristine, and one of the most relaxing places we have ever stayed in the city! With it's perfect corner location on Jones Street, one of the most beautiful streets in Savannah, you can walk to everything from the River to Forsyth Park and everything in between! Your host has done an amazing job renovating this historic structure with state of the art finishings and fabulous decor! Looking for a quiet getaway, we were thrilled when we walked in the door to soft playing Jazz and spa like decor! If I had had to describe this home in three words they would be, serene, tranquil, and classic! Who can say that about their last accommodations? We literally felt like we were staying in a spa and couldn't have asked for a better experience! And, the best part is you can bring your four legged friends with you! With Savannah being a very pet friendly city, we love to bring our dogs along and the house was perfect for them as well, being on one level and close to Troupe Square for walking and playing ball! Being a self proclaimed "queen of clean", this home sets the bar high for being both pet friendly and one of the most clean and crisp places we have stayed. I recommend this home over and over to those looking for a quiet retreat in the heart of the city! Bring a bottle of wine, sit back and enjoy the Jazz, and drink in all that Savannah has waiting for you! We are looking forward to packing our bags and heading back to this home in the near future...in fact, we didn't want to leave! Cheers to a beautiful home!

My husband and I had to change our vacation plans at the last minute, and the owner worked with our schedule amazingly well. We stayed at this studio apartment for a few days and while it's a little odd looking from the outside, the inside has been wonderfully renovated and was immaculately clean from top to bottom. This is an ideal spot for a single adult or a couple, but might be tricky with any more people than that since it is essentially one open space. There is a courtyard that would be great for mealtime when the weather is warmer than when we were there! Location walking distance to Kroger grocery store and to restaurants, bars, etc (depending on how far you want to walk). Again, we would highly reccommend this spot to anyone heading to the Savannah area.

This place is so unique and in a great part of town, not too close, but within walking distance - a great opportunity to walk off a big dinner on River Street. Very quiet neighborhood, we felt very safe the entire time we stayed. Property owner is amazing to work with - very user friendly. The unit was just as advertised and the shower is really unique. We really enjoyed the courtyard and the completely stocked kitchen. We didn't have to bring anything with us except food. Close to everything interesting to see in Savannah. I would highly recommend the unit and hope to stay there again in the future.
