This is our home away when you are not here so it has all of the amenities to make life easy and it's nicely decorated to make you feel comfortable.
This is a corner unit with extra windows which allow great views of the beach from the living/dining room area.
Step out of the living room onto the balcony. The view is unparalleled. Our end of the building is just yards from the beach. You see the waves and the sand for miles. Zoning laws only permit low houses to the north so you can see all the way to the inlet and the lighthouse on a clear day. There are 4 chairs on the balcony with room for another.
The living room has seating for 7 plus enough room if you need to pull dining chairs into the area. There is a flat screen TV. The sliding glass doors to the balcony are over sized for a great view plus there are the additional windows as we are an end unit.
The dining area has seating for 4 at a round table that will accommodate additional folding chairs (in closet). There are also 2 bar stools at the kitchen counter.
The kitchen has all of the normal amenities - stove, fridge, microwave and dishwasher plus all of the pots, pans, plates, glasses, utensils and everything else you need to cook for a family plus a blender for frozen drinks. There is a nice size pantry behind 2 sliding glass doors for food storage.
The unit has a full size washer and dryer making life easy for a long stay or family with smaller children.
The master bedroom has a king size bed, a flat screen TV, DVD player, a walk in closet, and its own bathroom with a walk-in shower. You can see the pool out of the window and beach just on the other side of the pool.
The 2nd bedroom has 2 twin beds and a pull out sofa that sleeps 1. The main bathroom is off of this room and it has a bath tub/shower.
There is a large pool on the property that has amble number of lounge chairs as well as tables with umbrellas.
Step off of the pool deck and onto the beach. The beach is public so you can walk or bike more than 13 miles.
We are located about 0.3 miles north of Flagler Avenue which is the main street on the beachside. It runs east from the ocean to the river on western end where it ends with a bridge to the mainland. It is a great historic 2 lane street lined with palm trees. Strolling Flagler is great. There are several restaurants, some bars, ice cream stores, gift shops, cute boutiques, a candy store, surf shops and more to explore in a very cute setting.

The month of March was a bit cooler than usual but that was the only disappointment we had with this condo right on New Smyrna Beach. It is especially roomy and comfortable with everything you need. It is also unbelievably clean and well stocked with essentials and more. We could sit inside on the cooler days and watch the surfers, dolphins and fishermen from the couch. But most days we walked the beach, ending up on Flagler somewhere for lunch, then strolling back to the condo for a swim or just a lounge by the pool. The best lunches were burgers at Breakers, Manzano's subs or Norwoods for lunch and dinner, but Gnarly Surf Bar at the north causeway was hard to beat with 25 cent beer when the bridge went up. There is lots going on in March with bike week in Daytona, and Spring Break but it was never too busy or crowded to enjoy the fun. We did the Dolphin Tour from the Marine Discovery Centre twice, went to Saturday morning markets for fresh veggies, watched Spring Training baseball and played a few rounds of golf. Finally, our communication with Pat was always helpful, prompt, friendly and informative and the arrangements were so easy from start to finish. We are planning to return soon!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This is our third year staying at this condo and we love it! The first year we brought many things along that we didn't need - this condo is well stocked from cooking utensils and linens to beach towels and chairs. Being right on the beach on 6th floor with patio doors and balcony looking north down the beach, as well as two large window looking out to the ocean give an almost 180 degree view that is spectacular. The pelicans love to fly close to the building and are wonderful to watch. We also love New Smyrna Beach. It's a smaller, very friendly community that is charming, yet still has great restaurants and shops. It's also not far from Daytona if you want access to a larger city. Friends of ours who have been many places in Florida said this is their favorite place - more like old Florida - which is why we came to this area four years ago. There are also many good golf courses available within 30 miles that are reasonably priced. We also make a yearly trip to Blue Springs State Park to watch the manatees that swim in the shallow, crystal clear spring waters that are warmer this time of year than the river.Did you find this review helpful?
