You always have a great ocean breeze. Rarely, do you need the a/c on. There's a fish house within walking distance with commercial boats that unload their catch of the day, ie lobsters, stone crabs and fish.
The ideal fishermen's island called Conch Key only eight miles north of Marathon MM 63. Fish right from the dock. Docking for your boat also available.
Conch Key offers visitors a very relaxing soothing ambiance like no other....It has a rich history with approx 45-50 acres and about 40 homes that are your typical island type homes. It's a fishing village surrounded by clear turquoise waters off the Gulf of Mexico. Connected by 2.5 mile historical Long Key Bridge with excellent fishing and beautiful sceneries of both the bay and ocean.
Walking distance to the historical Long Key Bridge with a great variety of fishing available with or without your boat.

Marlene and Jose, We had a great time. One of the most relaxing vacations I have had in years. I'm attaching a picture of a Great Egret that stopped by for a visit. Marlene and Jose, Once again a huge thank you for your warm and generous hospitality during our stay at Fishermen's Dream House on the Bay. Ed and I were thoroughly relaxed and rested after our stay and we hope to return again in the future to enjoy more of the Florida Keys. The vacation certainly lived up to our expectations and your beautiful home made our stay all the more enjoyable. Ed loves to cook and he was in heaven in your kitchen. As for the views it was just so relaxing to sit out and look at the ocean, something we are many many miles away from here in Colorado. Our first week (May-2004) in this lovely rental was peaceful and rejuvenating. The house is very comfortable with cool breezes, beautiful views, and spectacular sunrises. The wrap-a-round deck provides a great place to read or watch the boats cruise by. We loved the open floor plan, light and airy interior and whimsical decor. The owners are great and have provided quality equipment with all the essentials necessary for a stress free vacation.It lives up to its name ‘Fisherman’s Dream House’. The dock is great, if you bring a boat and it’s nice to have a boat ramp close by. We caught fish, but we also enjoyed the fresh seafood locally available. Although there are many great restaurants nearby, we cooked a lot because we didn’t want to leave the beautiful views.Our next visit is scheduled for July. We're bringing our grandsons and can’t wait to share this experience with them. They will especially enjoy swimming with the colorful tropical fish in the crystal clear water around the dock. We are anxiously waiting for our next visit to begin!
