Beautiful log cabin in a peaceful setting

The view from the living area and the loft bedroom are quite beautiful and there’s a giant rock outside the dining room window which adds character and charm to the setting. This very tastefully furnished log cabin is exactly as it looks online, except it’s even more attractive. There’s a warmth and gracefulness in the décor that’s very inviting. The kitchen is very well equipped, everything matches and seems quite new. The loft bed is very comfortable, and the large soaking tub is a real positive after a hard day of hiking. The loft bedroom is very spacious with a lovely view, but the closest bathroom is downstairs on the main level. The house is very close to Revelstoke, less than a 10 minute drive, which means you have the privacy of the country but the convenience of restaurants and shopping. The Visitor’s Center (111 Victoria Rd, Revelstoke) is a great resource for hikes in the area and information about other activities. We especially enjoyed the hike to Eva Lake and Miller’s Lake, and there are also stunning waterfall hikes. Glacier National Park is about a 45 minute drive and offers a large number of other magnificent hikes; our favorite was the hike to the Glacier Chalet.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
