What a wonderful experience. My husband, 2 kids and myself were meeting both sets of folks and our siblings for a mini family reunion since OR is the middle point for all of us. First time for the entire family in OR and we LOVED IT! Couldn't have asked for a better vacation home. I had several criteria to meet for everyone to be happy and comfortable and this house met them all. The beds were surprisingly comfortable, kitchen was well stocked, house was spacious and gave everyone their own space when needed. Chad and Joanna (owners) were easy to get a hold of and very accommodating. Location was amazing!! Close to several ski resorts. Driveway was plowed and flat enough for my elderly father in law to get around. Walking distance to town, even in the snow. Definitely 5 star worthy, except the hot tub wasn't working. Hopefully they will get that fixed soon for our next visit :-)

Went up to the mountain for a fun weekend out of town with friends. This house was the perfect setting and couldn't have been more accomodating. Plenty of sleeping space, well stocked kichen, lawn games, fire ring, clean and well maintained etc. It truly coudn't have been better. Government Camp is known as a winter destination but the hiking and exploration in summer is well worth a visit too. Whether a family gathering or a large group of friends, rent this place! You won't be dissapointed.

We stay here each year for our annual "Ski Weekend" - we love this cabin. The layout is great, with rooms downstairs for some distance/privacy. Good central area - open kitchen/living room/dining. Great location, right in the heart of town. Walking distance to everything. I'd bump it up to 5 stars if they'd get the hot tub up and running! ;)

Had a great time. I took the Alpine Trial from Timberline Lodge into Government Camp and then walked to the front door of the Cabin. Good Times!!!!!! Recommended for anyone who loves the snow and outdoors.

What an AMAZING property! Working with the owner was also an enjoyable experience. He was extremely efficient and helpful during the entire process. Our family wanted to enjoy the outdoor fun around Mount Hood and we are so pleased that we chose this home for our visit. We arrived to find an immaculate, graceful cabin that was also cozy and felt like a true getaway (the photos do not do it justice!). All the beds were amazingly comfortable too and master bathroom felt like something in a spa. Our mountain getaway was what we hoped for and more! We plan on making this an annual trip and this home will be the centerpiece of our tradition. We cannot wait to return!

Our experience at this cabin could not have been better. The location of the place is perfect. It is obvious that this cabin is in great hands. The cabin was clean, warm, and a short easy walk to Government Camp. We walked to dinner in under five minutes. Located just on the hill above the town and a short drive to Meadows we contemplated night skiing but settled for a blue bird the next day. Devoted skier -

We had a great time in your cabin at Government Camp...convenient to everything and the place was fantastic - very cozy and homey (loved the knotty pine), and a really great space for a big family. The boys absolutely loved it! It was nice too, that there was a sledding hill within walking distance. Thanks again for a great stay!

The first time we rented this cabin I did not know what to expect. There where eight of us that traveled up for a ski weekend. When we arrived we walked into a perfect cabin! The main floor feels much like Timberline lodge huge fireplace (complete with bear above fire place) with a cozy couch all open to the very nice kitchen bar. The bottom floor has a second kitchen and two bed rooms. There is a loft (where I slept) has an awesome bed. There is so much space. I definately will be renting again. Love the snow. Thank you.

I stayed here last winter and truly enjoyed the proximity to the mountain and it is a quick walk to Government Camp. The house is spacious with great fireplaces. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a getaway that is still close to Portland.
