We have been renting this house for the past three years and it is always fabulous and the views serene. The owner is wonderful to work with and so hospitable. There is so much to do around the area and great shopping although you may want to just stay here. We are planning to come back next year!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.
Owner response: A great deal of attention to detail was put into the building of this lake home when it was built five years ago. Our vacation renters are often shocked to see just how special the custom features are including the enormous screened lanai and all-stainless summer kitchen. It's such a pleasure being able to share this beautiful home with people who appreciate finding such an exceptional vacation rental on our beautiful Lake Weir.

Words cannot express the fabulous time we had at this location. The home was nothing short of amazing and that is an understatement. One of my most favorite things about the house was the exquisite wood flooring and the story it told about it coming from the wood found in the lake. Lake Weir is a sanctuary for my family as my husband is currently serving in Afghanistan and the first thing he wants to see is the lake. I have to say my husband was thrilled when he found this property and had hopes it would be available, fortunately for us it was and he was truly amazed by all the detail in the home as well as the incredible view. Now, for all you pet lovers I had the opportunity to bring along my Japanese Spitz who is quite the handsome guy yet particular about his environment. Well I should tell you he was thrilled and adapted to the home and its amazing view. My two children on the other hand loved the private beach, playing in the sand, swimming and my oldest daughter loves to sit on the dock and read. My family is grateful for all the accommodations that were provided and plan to come back when my husband returns from Afghanistan.Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Our stay in this beautiful, custom home was nothing short of pure bliss. The owner had thought of everything. All we needed was some groceries and our toothbrush. Such marvelous accomodations. Three large dining room tables and a summer kitchen to die for! Marble and granite everywhere. Flat screen TV's all over the place, even on the huge Lanai. We loved it! Hope to book the house again next year.Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children.
Owner response: Our house on Lake Weir never fails to wow our guests. It really has everything a luxury vacation home should have and then some. We built it with many custom features not often seen in many lake rental homes like our all stainless summer kitchen on the huge screened Lanai. Take a look at our listing and you'll see for yourself! While we prefer monthly rentals we will accept weekly bookings. Gator Joe's famous bar and grill is only 3 and 1/2 miles away in Ocklawaha and The Villages is just 12 miles away. Pets are welcome, too.
