Our very primitive cabin is a great place to let your worries go away as you rest your weary body on the front porch and lose yourself in the majestic view. Yes, we are very primitive. We are a small cabin with one loft bedroom and a small kitchen area with hoteye and refrigerator. Our bathhouse is just a few steps away from the cabin which adds to the experience of the great outdoors.
If you are lucky and quiet, you may spot a deer or maybe an unique bird you have never seen. There are plenty of tent sights so the kids may enjoy a real camping experience. There is a large firepit for those long nights under the stars not to mention the great food you can prepare. The lap of luxury we are not, but a terrific, laid-back getaway is exactly what we are and what you will get with every visit.
There are plenty of hiking, mountain biking, and wildlife viewings on 18 acres of wooded land in the mountains of Tennessee. You may walk along the mountain stream where in the spring the mountain laurel and rhododendron are in full bloom.
If the quiet gets too much for you, Chattanooga and all it has to offer is a short, 25-minute drive away or the historic city of Dunlap with plenty of antique shops and an old timey, dive-in theater. They also are well known for the coke ovens which are part of the coal miners history.
If you are a bit rugged, we are sure you will love your visit.
