Enjoy the beauty of Lake Tahoe's West Shore in our cabin. It is 4 hours to San Francisco and 2 hours to Sacramento. Our cabin is two blocks off of Highway 89 and backs up to open space.
The cabin sleeps 4. The bedroom has a queen bed. There is a sleeper sofa in the living room.
Welcome to our cozy cabin. It is a guest house on a property that has a larger cabin that is also available for rent (see ad 31691). The driveway accommodates 1 vehicle in the winter – unlimited in the summer. The cabin was built in 1989 and has just been remodeled. The fully-equipped kitchen has a coffee maker, toaster, griddle, microwave, plus all other eating, serving, and preparation items. The living room has a sleeper sofa, recliner, and a Flat Screen Cable TV with a DVD player. There is another FlatScreen TV with DVD player in the bedroom. Bring your laptop, we have Wi-Fi. We just installed a new washer/dryer for your convenience.
Supplies
We supply paper products, cleaning supplies, bed linens, and bath linens. The kitchen has staples such as sugar, cremora, and oil. We have sleds that you may borrow.
Winter Activities
Our cabin is on a flat road for easy access when snowing. We pay for a snow plow for the driveways and provide a shovel for sidewalks. There’s a hill next to our place that is good for sledding. The cabin is only 2 miles from Homewood Ski Resort which has the most spectacular views of the lake of any ski resort in the Tahoe Basin. Homewood offers $12 skiing for kids under 13, kids under 4 are free and active military are free with a 50% discount for their families. Sugar Pine Point is close by with cross-country skiing. Squaw Valley & Alpine Meadows are minutes away.
Summer Activities
Our cabin is close to public beach access, two marinas, general store, café and sports rental store. Enjoy a bike ride on the nearby bike path that goes around Lake Tahoe. Bike or drive to some of Tahoe’s most beautiful beaches at Meeks Bay, Sugar Pine Point, Emerald Bay and Vikingsholm Castle. Rent a paddleboat or kayak and spend the day on the lake. For boaters, we own the lot next door and your boat can be parked on it during your visit. We are also close to the access point to the world famous Rubicon Jeep Trail. Surrounding the Lake Tahoe Basin are hundreds of miles of trails ranging from easy to strenuous.
This is a new vacation rental for us. In December, 2010, we replaced the front door, sleeper sofa, refrigerator, TV's, linens, small appliances and dishes. In May 2012 we replaced the heater, bathtub, and all flooring.

We stayed at the Tahoe Cabin from 12/25 to 12/30 and had a wonderful vacation. It has everything you need, the heater works very well and keeps the place cozy and warm. Everything was very clean and organized and the location is perfect for being just outside of Tahoe City enough to be very private and quite yet within easy drive to slopes, lake, and stores. We had a great time.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children.

This cabin at the end of a cul-de-sac, close to the woods, was a wonderful place to set aside cares of the world for a week. It's clean, larger than you might think, and well appointed. The owners put a lot of consideration into setting it up. We loved staying there.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

We stayed in the cabin for 4 nights and had a wonderful time. It is a convenient central location to many places around Lake Tahoe. The cabin is very well maintained, cozy and comfortable. The owner was available to answer any questions we had. Plenty of local places to eat out or grocery stores to get supplies to use the well equipped kitchen in the cabin. We enjoyed going to the beautiful beach at DL Bliss State Park where other family members were camping out. We went up to Kings Beach for lunch out on a deck overlooking the lake watching parasails, kayaks and the beautiful mountains. Lake Tahoe is lovely in the summer and we are hoping to come back to this location for our winter snowboard trip. Thanks for a great stay.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, age 55+.

My family stayed here during spring break and it was the perfect little get away! Clean, and cute, we really enjoyed our time at this cabin in a great area of Tahoe! The neighborhood was nice and quiet for walking around, my daughter loved sledding nearby and we skiied at Homewood, only five minutes away! We stopped at one store on the way home from skiing one day and they did not have what I was looking for, so the guy called the store down the street for us to check, and they had our item waiting. We enjoyed it so much we contacted the owners to see if we could add an extra night. We cooked every night and the kitchen was well stocked. My mom joined us and wants to go back, even offering to pay next time! We also spent a day at Squaw Valley, which was a very short drive.Recommended for: Girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, age 55+.

Thank you for a wonderful weekend in your cabin! The location was perfect, and the cabin was impeccably clean and bigger than we expected. We appreciated the fact that you had everything we could possibly need stocked (paper towels, dish soap, etc.) Also, thank you for leaving the binder with ideas for activities-we are already thinking of returning for the warm weather months. You really have a nice place, especially for the price. >Recommended for: Adventure seekers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, age 55+.

At the risk of giving away what I would like to keep a secret...what a great find! We spent three nights in the cabin and had a great time. The cabin has a great wood stove and the kitchen has everything you need. It’s super warm and cozy. We ended up cooking every night. There is a general store right down the street that is super convenient if you forgot anything. You can tell the owners took a lot of time outfitting this place. We’re Looking forward to our next trip and will stay again soon.Recommended for: Girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, families with young children, age 55+.
