  My family and I stayed in March 2013, had a good time. The house has a good location, a great atmosphere for the whole family. It has everything that people need for a good holiday. I really recommend it.

  We are an extended family of 9 adults who rented this beautiful home for our Christmas gathering this year. We have talked for years of going away together and having a vacation experience rather than giving gifts and this was our first trip together. We have all traveled extensively and rented other homes around the world, but all agreed that this home is one of the best, if not the best, we have ever stayed in. It accommodated us very well and we never felt crowded or on top of one another, even though we could have used more bedrooms given that we are all adults and had to share bedrooms. This is truly a home, thoughtfully decorated and stocked with everything you need. They even decorated it for Christmas! We felt like guests in someone's beloved home and not as though we were in a rental property and appreciate being trusted to stay in a home that is obviously loved and well taken care of by the owners. We enjoyed many activities around the island but were always happy to stay "home" and enjoy the comfort and beauty of this special property. Sitting on the deck listening to the tree frogs and birds and watching the iguanas and the light shifting on the rainforest was probably our favorite activity of the entire vacation. No one wanted to leave, and that's a good thing! Thank you so much for sharing your treasured home with us. We agree with others who have commented that the photos don't do it justice. You simply must experience it!

  We were greeted by owner beautiful home all the amenities one would need were supplied! We enjoyed the pool relaxed daily with our coffee on the wrap around deck the kids loved it and we always felt safe this property is amazing and we would return in the future we had 2 couples and 4 children -plenty of room for all of us!!! Thank you for sharing a piece of paradise with us!!!

  Firstly, I have to say the pictures DO NOT do this house justice! It is absolutely stunning and extremely spacious. We were two families with 4 very young children and this house was perfect - we NEVER felt crowded at all. The owners were extremely accommodating and provided us with high chairs, pack n plays and even baby gates. The terrace is very wide, sheltered from the sun and great view! The house was very luxurious, very well stocked and organized, and everything high end-We truly felt that we were in the lap of luxury. The pool was so fun and great for kids - gated for safety, nice walk in steps and even a jets section which the kids loved. The view is stunning of the rain forest and we even saw Iguanas sleeping in the trees and horses trotting around. The location was very convenient and close to get to everything that we wanted to see. Old San Juan - 45 minutes along a scenic route highway, Pinones boardwalk a must see! The BioLuminiscent tour only about 20 minutes away. The beach in Luguilla is beautiful, huge, sandy - perfect for kids or anyone for that matter. The kiosks are just five minutes away where you can get authentic puerto rican grub, or enjoy a good New York deli sandwhich, a high-end seafood restaurant, a really great burger or delicisous Spanish Tapas. A fun experience for sure. The only criticism is that you cannot walk to anything. Although very close to everything by car, you really cannot walk anywhere - you have to have a car there. There is the restaurant at Hacienda Carabali that you could walk to, but since the house is up on a hill, it was too hard to walk to with strollers, The positive FAR outweighed this aspect. To us, customer service is key -Mickey the owner, and Vilmari were excellent. We had been travelling for 12 hours when we arrived at the house and our kids were starving. Mickey had provided us with a welcome plate with cheese, meat, bread etc. which was a true LIFE SAVER for us as we were able to feed the kids immediately. Additionally, my son developed an ear infection while we were there - i texted Mickey to see if there was a clinic nearby - he did research and found us a local pediatrician and called ahead to let them know we were coming. He even offered to meet us to take us there - which was so thoughtful. We would recommend this house to anyone who is considering travelling to Puerto Rico!   If you want to stay in PR at an spectacular location together with your family and friends, this location is the perfect place to stay!!! 1- Extra clean property with beautiful decoration. 2 - Complete kitchen with top of the line appliances 3 - Excellent sound system that you can control from your IPhone different music styles for every designated spot in the house. 4 - Prime locations in the East. Near Luquillo Beach and just only 45 minutes from San Juan Intl Airport and metro area. 5 - Owner very diligent with all your needs. 6 - Beautifull site seeing from almost every area in the house facing El Yunque Rainforest. 7 - Complete Game room with pool table ping pong table, music system etc... 8 - BBQ Grill and kitchen facing pool for easy supervision of kids. 9 - Nice and big LCD TV on living room with satellite system. 10 - Our family were impressed!!! We will like to return!!! Highly Recommended

  First let me say that the pictures don't do this house justice. It is even more beautiful than what you see. Our group was just 2 couples staying at the house during off season Oct 5-12. We were very lucky with the weather as it only rained 1 day and we barely saw any mosquitoes (but the house was well equipped with mosquito repellent). The kitchen was great with the stainless steel fridge which included a middle wine drawer and a cooktop stove on the middle island. The 52" flat screen got all the US stations and my favorite...the sonos wireless music system with the ipod docking station. The sound system is hooked up to play in 4 areas, living room, pool, terrace and game room. We spent many evenings sitting by the pool drinking wine and listening to music when we returned home from a night out for dinner and drinks. We enjoyed mornings with coffee on the terrace and the hammocks were very relaxing. We thought we would grill out at least 1 night and play pool in the game room, but we had such a nice time sitting by the pool that we never did either. The location is great. It is less than 5 minutes from the kioskos where you have over 40 choices of food in open air, quaint, little restaurants. Tapas 13 was our favorite! And just past the kioskos is Luquillo beach. We went to the Bio Bay tour in Fajardo (about 25 minutes from the house) and spent some time on Seven Seas beach. I had read on trip advisor that there was a secret beach past Seven Seas beach called Playa Colora and we found it. It was BEAUTIFUL and we were the only ones there! We also had shrimp tacos at Boardriders (less than 10 minutes) which were fabulous and spent a day in old San Juan. The owner, Mickey, met us at the house on arrival and departure and was extremely accommodating and gave us suggestions on things to do. Vilmari, the manager, was also very helpful. There is a lot to do in the area, including horseback riding and go carts, but we enjoyed hanging out at the house and sitting by the pool so much that we didn't get around to checking out the other activities. We have rented homes in the past on other Caribbean Islands and this was another great experience. I highly recommend it over resorts and hotels! Thanks again, Mickey and Vilmari, for a wonderful stay.

  I highly recommend the “Hacienda Carabali” for Americans on vacation in Puerto Rico with their families. The spacious house is located within a gated community and is on a ridge on the edge of the El Yunque Rainforest with many horse ranches as neighbors. It is located just minutes away from a main highway, a public beach, a golf course and casino, plus many outstanding restaurants. The owners are the nicest couple, college educated in the states (Hartford & Syracuse), and speak English very well. You can tell they are very proud of their “Hacienda Carabali.” One of my favorite pleasures was to set on the wrap around back porch and just take in the spectacular view of El Yunque for hours, watching tropical birds flying back and forth, while relaxing or reading a book. Also, I enjoyed swimming in the heated outside pool and taking in the lush tropical scenery from the pool. The house has lots of room for the kids to play outside with a basketball court that my grandkids spent hours on. The play room down stairs has ping pong and pool tables and the family room upstairs has a big TV with all the cable stations you have in the states, plus a DVD Player, a Stereo, and high-speed internet. We had a great time on our family vacation and we are looking forward to our next visit to “Hacienda Carabali.”

  We were pleasantly surprised by this gorgeous home and its location. The spacious Hacienda Carabali had everything we needed for a quiet vacation in the mountains yet it was so close to the beach (Luquillo), Rio Mar Golf Course and Casino, El Yunque Rainforest, the bioluminecent bay, and great restaurants. The three story home has a great location in a gated horseback riding community which offers horseback riding tours in addition to go carts, four wheelers, and bicycles. The home has a swimming pool, pool table, and outside grill. We stayed in the home with another family and we found that there was plenty of room for both our families and room to spare. The home is beautifully decorated and very nicely maintained. It is obvious that the owner’s take pride in the upkeep of this home. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this home for your next vacation. We are looking forward to our next visit. Carolyn and Mark Grose Port Orange, FL

  Just experienced a wonderful family vacation in Puerto Rico. Our family rented a home through HomeAway.com, rental # 332425 from 14 -28 February 2011. Our trip could not have turned out better. We stayed in a beautiful three-story rental property that features all the comforts of home as well as many additional luxuries. The process of renting was personalized, and the owner was directly involved in ensuring our trip was a success from arrival and throughout the duration of our stay in Puerto Rico. The rental home is nestled in a gated community within Hacienda Carabali. An amazing view and a relaxing setting, this rental is the perfect vacation spot. We enjoyed many early mornings drinking coffee and swinging in the hammocks that are located on the wrap around deck. And, we also enjoyed many outdoor evenings preparing food on the built-in grill, listening to music from the surround speakers on the deck, all the while watching our children play basketball in the yard or swim in the private jetted pool. The condition of the home is excellent, with well taken care of hardwood floors and tile, attractive artwork, and any appliance that you can think of – to include a top of the line washer and dryer. Plenty of space, comfortable amenities, and perfect location made our vacation one to remember. We thoroughly enjoyed the ping-pong and pool tables. The location of the rental house offers quick access to the nearby El Yunque Rainforest, beaches, or the ferry out of Fajardo to Vieques or Culebra. Excellent family vacation rental in Luquillo, Puerto Rico. Would certainly stay here again. Owners are trustworthy, kind, and gracious for allowing us into their rental home.
