I spent 3 weeks in this flat and found it well located and very comfortable. It is close to food shopping and restaurants. It is 10 minutes to Kennington or Vauxhall Tube Stations. Despite being close to a main road , it was very quiet. Hop a bus nearby and you are at all the main London attractions in 30 minutes. The owner is helpful and easily reached by e-mail or phone. I highly recommend this flat to anyone visiting London.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car.

This really is a lovely and comfortable flat, very well located not just for the south bank but also within walking distance of attractions like Parliament, Westminster Abbey, and Trafalgar Square. Nearby Kennington Station is on the Northern line which connects to most other tube lines, and it's also well served by buses which can quickly get you to and from other attractions like the V&A. There's a Tesco Express just up the street which is handy for groceries and the kitchen is well equipped so there's no need to spend money on dining out unless you want to. We stayed for 5 days and would happily stay again.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, sightseeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

We are a family of 4 and include a 5-year-old child and a 3-month-old baby. This apartment was charming, cozy and perfect for our needs. It truly felt like a home-away-from-home! The apartment is located close to central London and is easily accessible by many forms of public transportation. The owner was very kind, helpful and accommodating. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

I stayed at this lovely flat for one month in the spring and had a fantastic time. The flat is large, bright, airy, had everything I needed and was completely charming. I had no trouble connecting to the internet, was able to call for take-away locally from the home phone and slept soundly as though the place was my own. I had no issues with any appliances, the water was always hot and the kitchen had everything I needed if I wanted to stay in and cook. The TV and it's DVD collection were great for nights in. Everything was spottless. I had no trouble communicating with my land lady, who was available if I had any questions, and was totally amicable, helpful and enthusiastic about my staying there. The area was close to all amenities, but was far enough from the city that it was relaxing. The area is safe, the transit is easy. There is a great pub at the end of the block, as well as off-licences and shops for convinience. Close to Kennington Tube Station. Camden Market is only a few stops away, and is where I spent most of my time while away from the flat. It was very easy to get to and from. There are maps provided in a ''Welcome Package'' provided that I found helpful, as well as other things left from previous renters that were great, such as take-away brochures and sight-seeing ideas. I love this flat so much that I am scheduled to stay there again this fall. If I were to move to England, it would be my first choice if it were ever an option to permenently rent, I love this flat and the area that much. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in the Lambeth area. Whether for a week or a month, you won't find a more inviting place than this one.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

Despite this rental being a decent place to stay and in a good location, I did not really have an enjoyable stay. I was not told that there was construction going on while I would be staying prior to my arrival. I would have appreciated the disclosure given scaffolding was up and all over the building when I got there. The first morning I woke up walked into the kitchen I jumped 10 feet because there was a man looking into the deck door (on the second story) doing some painting. I felt embarrassed that I was in my pajamas and did not expect anyone to be looking into the second floor. Then the workers proceeded to bang on the windows to get my attention and have me bring in all the potted plants from outside so they could paint. Then if that was not enough another worker was banging on the front window later to have me cover the couches with blankets in the front so they would not get old paint flakes on them. Not at all what I expected to be doing on my "VACATION". Furthermore, I was woken up in the mornings by a loud crying baby upstairs. Definitely not the fault of the owner, just added to the displeasure of my stay. Then if that was not enough...there was only half a toilet paper roll left for me in the bathroom and there was not even one extra roll available. I ran out prior to the last day and lets just say I had to improvise to get through. Had all this not occurred I would have left happier. The owner simply apologized, but did not make any concessions.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 6/7
