    The Home was very comfortable & well equipped. The lake front surroundings are beautiful along with the fire pit. It was a perfect retreat for friends to gather. We will be back again.

    This house was perfect for us. We had four families staying there and still had plenty of room to move around and play. The boat house was very convenient to store our boat. We will be back!

    The house was perfect. It had everything you needed for a nice, relaxing week-long stay. The owners also were great and prompt in providing all of the details you needed. The house was well-decorated and the kitchen was stocked with everything you need for family dinners. The rooms were perfect for guests to stay, along with bunk beds in a room upstairs for the children. I would definitely return for another week next year!

    Very cozy place , well appointed interior , just as seen in photos. Fire pit saw a lot of use from us for smores and just relaxing. Bring your fishing rod if you like catfish. Caught some big ones right off the dock. Owner was very responsive when called. Alittle busy on the weekends with the marina and campground just across the lake , the weekdays were the quietest and the least amount of water traffic. Like having our own private lake.

    My family and I recently spent 3 weeks at this wonderful vacation home. The view and the nature around were both amazing. The home was well appointed, and nicely decorated. We enjoyed the porch, and I personally could have sat on the dock all day. I was the first one on the dock, usually follwed by my 3 year old granddaughter. The kids ( ages 2 -16), did not want to leave, if that is any indication. Kitchen was well stocked, and was appreciated as I did do most of the cooking while I was there. The sunsets were amazing and peaceful. The area was very quiet, and we enjoyed the almost 2 mile walk around the "circle". The owners were happy to answer both questions or concerns at any time. They were some of the easiest I have ever worked with. We definitely plan to return in the near future. Thank you again Dave and Sheila.

    Our family had a WONDERFUL time at this property. We would highly recommend it and plan on coming back again! The location is perfect. The house layout is wonderful - beautiful views of the lake from all rooms. We enjoyed the fire pit and fishing off the dock. We own a ski boat and loved having the boat lift available. The house is spacious and has all the perks you need for a week at the lake. The property was clean and well maintained. The owner was helpful and accommodating. We never left the property, except to get a few groceries and gas for the boat so we cannot comment on nearby attractions, but the little we did see outside the property was wonderful as well. We had a wonderful time and are sure you will as well. Enjoy!

    This lake house is perfect! My husband and I arrived with our 3 children and two couples with dogs. The house was beautiful on arrival. We walked into a beautiful sunset view. The kitchen and the living room had huge windows looking over the lake. The bedrooms were perfect for our group - the kids room (5 twin beds) was on one side of the house with one queen bedroom. The other side of the house had 3 bedrooms for the single folks. The dock was perfect for swimming and floating and fishing. All of the kids caught a fish! We used the canoe that was provided and had a lot of fun on the lake. The fire pit is beautiful and there was plenty of wood available. The house was pet friendly, but not stinky. The kitchen was amazingly well appointed. We were able to cook lavish meals - even a birthday cake. There were plenty of dishes available. We are looking forward to staying at this house again. As soon as possible! The flat backyard to the lake was perfect for our kids and dogs and would be great for those with disabilities.

    We loved this property! We were there with four families and there was plenty of room for everyone. Close to the lake, but room for the kids to play in the flat lot leading up to the lake. Plus, the neighborhood boat launch is right next door and the kids enjoyed playing in the shallow water there and watching folks fish. The canoe and firepit were great additions and the gate on the deck was perfect to contain the small children. The property was clean and well maintained and the small issue that we had with the kitchen sink water pressure was fixed quickly.

    We really enjoyed our stay. The house is very comfortable and inviting and the lake view is fantastic! The open and spacious feel of the main family room makes for a perfect place to socialize, read a book, play a game, or just relax and take in the lake view. Very nice level lot with firepit, perfect for roasting marshmellows under the stars. My wife loved the furniture in the house- so much so that she has been looking all over trying to find furniture like it that we can put in our own house! The owners are super friendly and very accomodating. The house is only an hour's ride from Raleigh. We highly recommend this place!

    What a great place to relax with family and friends. The listing description was very accurate and the owners were very accommodating. The gentle walk to the water and being pet friendly were a huge plus for us and we can't wait to go back next summer!

    We have just spent three weeks at this home on Gaston. The home was exactly as noted in the rental info. We found the home to be well equipted with dish wear and linens. The location was wonderful. Being right on the entrance to Holly Grove creek there was a beautiful view from the main rooms in the house. The yard was a nice gentle grade to the lake, I would recomment to anyone that might have back or knee problems this is the home for you. The owners were very helpful and very nice to work with. If you have young kids or in our case grandkids this too is the house. Yes I would recommend this property to our friends as long as they did not want to take our weeks, yes we do plan to rent again. The location was so nice and peaceful that we did not do alot of activities outside of there at the house.

    My daughters selected your house for our 40th anniversary weekend celebration. My husband and I enjoy time with our children and your house was such a wonderful setting. When we arrived the kids had the front door open and I could see through the kitchen, the deck and there was the Lake. Absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed the fire pit at night, the dock offered a place for long talks, and plenty of quiet space on the screened in porch. The house so comfortable! Had a great Sunday at nearby Rosemont! Our dogs had a great time running around, barking at birds, and assorted turtles and fish! Thank you for the weekend rental- we hope to return next year!
