This is a really lovely and special place to stay. The house is striking for being modern, light, airy, spacious and very comfortable. It is magnificently well equipped and easy to live in. The location is spot on - ocean views and walks on tap. Linda and Jake are extremely hospitable and friendly. My husband and I recently stayed at the "Jewel of Sidney" for two months and found both the owners, and the location, to be exceptional. The owners were very gracious and accomodating during our stay and gave us excellent information on the area, including advice on restaurants, special events and other tourist activities. Sidney is one of the most surprising finds as a premier tourist destination. During our daily twenty minute walks to town, we got to enjoy beautiful scenery, friendly walkers, and great weather. We really enjoyed coming "home" to our carriage house and cooking up a fantastic seafood meal, fresh from the fishmonger on the Sidney pier. We found the listing and photos for this location to be accurate and good value as a VRBO.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, people with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

This stunning "cottage" is a rare find: superb craftmenship; quality fixtures, appliances, and furnishings; and fabulous ocean view. With incredible attention to detail, the owners ensured that my stay was comfortable and memorable. The location is terrific: the waterfront is across the street, and the town centre is within walking distance. I was so lucky to find this gem! I hope that all of my future vacation rentals can live up to this fabulous "home away from home".Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+.
