If your ideal family vacation is to live in a stunning house, surrounded by tropical sounds and sights, where a short walk takes you to a spectacular, and very quiet beach, then you should stay at the Pama Hale. We have three young children, we all enjoyed the house, surroundings and ambience tremendously. Paul, British Columbia, Canada.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We loved Pama Hale. It is a serenely lovely house, relaxing, spacious, very stylish. Closely surrounded by tropical greenery, access to a lovely lanai from every room. Soothing sounds of running water from the creek that flows through the property. A constant symphony from the roosters, chickens, birds and bullfrogs living close by. Short walk to the ocean at Moloa'a Bay, short drive to Kilauea with its wonderful bakery and quality shops, a bit further to delightful Hanalei, home of Puff the Magic Dragon and one of the best swimming beaches around. Spectacular scenery in all directions. We helicoptered over the wild Napali Coast, and walked the civilized beach trail at Kapa'a. Drove south to touristy Po'ipu, concluding that Pama Hale was a more interesting and authentic place to stay. Wifi signal a bit weak, but other than that minor quibble, we loved our stay at Pama Hale, and greatly appreciated the professionalism shown by manager Lynne and our hosts Suzanne and Roland. Highly recommended.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

Our stay at Pama Hale was nothing short of magical; the photos do not do justice to the architectural grandeur of the home, and the warm, elegant, tropical, contemplative and healing energy with which it wraps you. We could hear the waves from either bedroom and spent hours on the deck - private, balanced between sunshine and shade - as well as taking the under-2-minute walk down to gorgeous Moloa'a Bay. We recommend this house to anyone seeking a restorative and rejuvenating getaway, more for adults than children, and hope to return again someday. Emily, Oregon, USA.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Pama House was fabulous and beautifully appointed -- we wanted for nothing. High quality linens, towels, and toiletries; a very tastefully decorated home. We felt so peaceful at Pama Hale on the lovely island of Kauai close to Moloa'a beach. The beautiful songs of the birds and roosters, the bleating of the goats…heaven -- put us to sleep each night and we awoke to these sounds with the sunrise. After being out and about every day of our vacation on hikes, sight-seeing and enjoying several days at the beach, the comfortable surroundings of Pama Hale awaited us. It was the best house we've rented on VRBO and was better than advertised. The property caretaker was also very helpful and pleasant to interact with.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Many thanks for the wonderful week in your gorgeous home. After 4 weeks on the Hawaiian islands (Maui, Big Island) in different vacation rentals this one was clearly the best. The location is a perfectly secluded spot but great to explore the whole island. Even during peak season in August, Moloa'a Bay was peaceful and relaxing. Our son had great fun body boarding and the short distance to the beach, the outside shower, modern washer/dryer and fruit from the orchard made our family stay relaxing as can be. Lynne, the local property manager, did a very uncomplicated and friendly job. Same for the whole service by Susanne prior and after the booking. The house was top clean and perfectly equipped. We enjoyed the privacy and the openness of the house greatly. From kitchenware to linnen everything is tasteful and of high quality. Many thanks for the great stay. Best regards from Switzerland Elke, Marco and Julius.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Fabulous stay in a treehouse-like house with a very defined zen and peaceful interior. Plenty of space, wonderful deck, orchard with plethora of fruit trees. Secluded beach was just a short walking distance where we looked at sea shells and driftwood, snorkled and boogie-boarded. House was short driving distance from various activities and other beaches. Little details like a few cleaning supplies, spices, oil and vinegar were a sweet touch and made our first shopping trip a lot easier. Owners and property manager were most friendly and easy to work with. Hoping to fill up the piggy bank soon again to come back!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

The photos do not capture the beauty of this property. The high ceilings and window/glass doors/screens give it an outdoors feel. The ventilation is fantastic. It is secluded, while having close neighbors. It is well appointed for comfort. We chose a new spot each day to enjoy our breakfast. The grounds and house are very well maintained. Susanne was always available by email for any questions and Lynn the property manager was very helpful. I would highly recommend this property to my friends and family. It is perfectly suited for 2 couples with the bedrooms on opposite ends of the house. There are day beds available, but little additional closet place, so it is really not suited for large families. Moloaa bay is a short walk away. It is a secluded and great for swimming, snorkeling and just sun bathing. The walk up and around the cliffs is breath taking. The rooster, bull frogs and birds provide a symphony of sounds to awake you in the morning.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

We returned from our transformative vacation in Kauai today. Wow. What an unbelievably magical place. Pama Hale was the perfect place for our week. We found the house comfortable and welcoming, and we thought the location could not have been more ideal. Having roamed all over the island, we felt that the beauty and solitude of Moloa'a Bay is preferable to some of the more touristy areas. Thank you for welcoming us into your home. We are already thinking about returning for another week next year. Zoe from Oregon.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

What a wonderful place! We found everything and even more what we were looking for: a grogeous house to stay which unique architechture, fully equipped with everything we could think of, all kinds of tropical fruit from the orchard, a beautiful beach steps away, great surroundings and the whole island just an easy drive away. Just great. We will be back soon. Sarah and Sebastian, Hannover, Germany.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This review is long overdue from our stay in October 2011. This was my second stay in the Moloa'a Bay area and I absolutely recommend it for travelers wanting to experience the tropical beauty of Kauai in peaceful seclusion. Pama Hale offered a comfortable stay just a short walk to Moloa'a Bay's gorgeous beach. Pama Hale is true to the posted pictures and the owner's provided just the right amenities to make us feel at home. The owners, Susanne and Roland, were great to deal with while making arrangements and the local property manager, Lynne, was wonderful. She met us personally to check us in and show us the property and home even with our late arrival flight from Alaska. The only warning I'd give is for light sleepers - bring earplugs! Like most of Kauai, this area has lots of wild chickens and roosters that crow at all hours of the day AND night. My family and I love it, but my brother-in-law had a few sleepless nights until we bought him some earplugs. :) Thank you, Susanne, Roland, and Lynne! We will definitely be returning!!Recommended for: Girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

A stay in Pama Hale in Moloaa Bay feels like paradise. We enjoyed every day and our two boys (17 and 14 years old) played and snorkeled every day in the nearly deserted bay. The house is a beauty and very nicely furnished. We loved to harvest the fruits from the orchard: We never had ripe starfruit or cooked breadfruit (we found recipes on the inernet) - just great! Thanks to Susanne and Roland for sharing paradise with us. We will return! Our stay in Pama Hale was just great: great house, great location and a great island. We have enjoyed our stay a lot. Thanks for sharing your home with us. The set-up for the house make you feel you live in a tree house although being so close to the beach that you can listen to the surf all day through. Being a retrunee to the island, this time we saw for the fist time whales off the coast of Moloa'a Bay, went to the wonderful Limahuli gardens in Haena and spend a lot of relaxing time on the deck of Pama Hale. Hoping to come back soon! Martina and Stefan - Germany.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We just spent 8 days in paradise - thanks to you guys. Pama Hale is a wonderful house and is perfectly situated near the beach. Moloaa Bay is gorgeous and we practically had the beach to ourselves almost every day. We also saw whales every day - which is a most wonderful sight. The house itself is beautiful. The pictures on the website don't do it justice! It is better in person! We hope to return very soon! Thanks again Pete and Charlotte.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing.

From Pama-Hale Guestbook under former Ownership. Kauai Vacation -- August 2005: We once again went to Kauai for a vacation this year and stayed at the fantastic Pama Hale house near Moloaa Beach. We spent 10 glorious days in paradise. Since you do the same thing in paradise everyday: Wake up, Eat breakfast, Snorkel, Surf, Eat lunch, Sightsee, Eat dinner, Sleep -- repeat! The photos are loosely organized around these categories. We also had a great helicopter tour this yearDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

From Pama-Hale Guestbook under former Ownership Honeymoon -- July 2004 We debated long and hard on where to go for our honeymoon, eventually agreeing on Kauai. Then we debated where we should stay, eventually choosing a house called Pama Hale on Moloaa Beach. We were not disappointed. Kauai was everything that we wanted - romantic beaches, beautiful scenery, great hikes and something new - shave ice (more of that in the photos) The house was way more than we could have imagined. We can't wait to return someday to revisit paradise.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1
