The San Cosimato House was the perfect apartment for my wife, son and me for our 6-day trip to Rome recently -- a true home away from home. We wanted to stay in Trastevere, which is a great neighborhood a short distance from most of the tourist sites and has many good, small restaurants, shops etc. -- and the apartment was well located in the center of the area. The apartment was quiet, clean and very comfortable. There is a good-sized master bed room with an excellent bed. The separate smaller bed room was perfect for our 13-year old son. The bathroom and kitchen were modern and well equipped and the wi-fi worked very well. After a long day of walking around the city and seeing the sites, it was a great place to come back to. Also, Chiara was a great help in the weeks leading up to the trip, always responding quickly to emails and answering all questions. She even booked a car to meet us at the airport and drive us to the apartment, which worked out perfectly. We couldn't have been more happy with the apartment, and would highly recommend it.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with young children.

We truly enjoyed out time in "Casa Camilla". It is a VERY clean, newly renovated apartment in a 19th century building in the neighborhood of Trastevere. The neighborhood is wonderful with lots of activity and restaurants but the apartment is quiet, overlooking a courtyard. The pictures are very accurate. The apartment is very well maintained. It is in a very nice building. There is an elevator but you do have to climb a few steps to get to it. We very much enjoyed our contact with Chiara who was our email contact. She was very helpful and went above and beyond by sending us maps and other useful information. Chiara also set up a guided tour of the Vatican and airport transportation which worked out perfectly. Everything went perfectly from Camilla answering the phone when we called her from the airport to having someone greet us at the apartment when we arrived. If we return to Rome, we would have no hesitation staying here again. You will not be disappointed.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, families with young children.

My family of five (including 3 young children) had a wonderful stay at Casa de Camilla apartment. Starting from the warm welcome provided by Camilla and her husband, all of our requests were met promptly and we could not have asked for a better experience dealing with them. The apartment is in the very unique and quaint area of Trastevere, which offers a great refuge from the crowds of Rome. That said, from the apartment, it is an easy walk or short ride on public transportation to all the main tourist spots, even with three kids in tow. By the end of our week at the apartment, we had truly fallen in love with Trastevere and we are most thankful to Camilla and her husband for providing us a great home and most memorable experience in this little slice of heaven.Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with young children, girls getaway.

Our stay in Rome was fabulous because we had a lovely flat to call home during our stay. The pictures are accurate - it is very clean. The owner met us there personally to show us around and was very helpful with restaurant recommendations and directions. We used the kitchen mainly for breakfast since it was rather sparsley equiped for cooking, but the neighborhood it is in has some great restaurants, so why cook! I would definitely recommend it!Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, families with young children, girls getaway.

San Cosimato was a restful retreat and greeted me after a long flight from Bali, Indonesia. Four nights was too short; I could have stayed a month! The kitchen was well supplied though I ate lightly. The apartment was exceptionally clean with spectacular art. I loved the neighborhood feel; Trastevere was recommended by a friend - still cozy and yet easily accessible to most attractions. San Cosimato surpassed my expectations!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Perfectly adequate facilities for a couple or small family. Quiet location, which is surprising given the vibrancy of the local area. Within walking distance to all Rome's major attractions. Lift was handy for luggage and days where you were feeling a bit too worn out to take the stairs. Great area for cafes and restaurants. Would definitely stay again if we return to Rome.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, tourists without a car.

We arrived in Rome one day late due to weather delays. Camilla was flexible and hospitable, meeting us at the new date and time and escorted us to the grocery store before it closed. The descirption and the photos on the VRBO website accurately represent this charming and well-located apartment. The neighborhood is lively, has interesting restaurants and is centrally located for touring. My children played in the small palyground in the plaza directly outside of San Cosima to house. We shopped for food during the week in the open air market adjacent to the playground. We were delighted to come home to a peaceful, air conditioned apartment after a long day of touring. Thank you to VRBO and Camilla for providing us with a wonderful home-away-from-home on our lovely vacation.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with young children.

Lovely apartment with all necessary equipment and utensils. Very comfortable bed, which is a huge benefit after a day exploring the city, which is all very close by. Near to all the lovely streets of Trastevere but in a quiet courtyard setting so no noisy nights. Owner was lovely person and most helpful in answering questions as necessary. Will definately try to rent this apartment if we return to Rome in the future.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, families with young children, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

We enjoyed our stay in Trastevere at San Cosimato House. It was a good location with a fresh produce market, cafes, and stores very close by. The listing description was accurate, everything clean and well maintained and the owner was very friendly and helpful. (free wifi, a dishwasher, clothes washer and places to hang things, hair drier and lots of hot water, etc.) Staying in a busy neighborhood was fun and, as described, the apartment is several floors up with choice of elevator or stairs and faces a courtyard away from street noise. The restaurant suggestions were good and gelato easily found. We walked almost everywhere but taxis were convenient to access if needed. We especially enjoyed our email contact person, Chiara, and arranged a last minute private tour of the Vatican (which I highly recommend to avoid long lines). It was a wonderful week in Roma!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, girls getaway.
