The Lime Door was renovated in 2011. This apt. is most like a large hotel room with a fridge, microwave, coffeemaker - but unlike our other units, does not have a full cooking kitchen.
The spacious studio Lime Door is, like all our apartments, in the middle of everything in Marfa. It is a classic old Marfa adobe building retaining original touches while updated for your comfort.
The key to our colored door apartments is location, location, location. You are in the heart of Marfa's gallery district. The Get Go Specialty Grocery and Ballroom Marfa are across the street. Restaurants, coffee shops, the Marfa Book Company, and the Saturday morning (April-Dec.) farmer's market are within two blocks. You can come to Marfa and never use your car.
Enjoy your visit to the world's most stunning installations of seminal American minimalists Donald Judd and Dan Flavin, among others, set in the high desert splendor of West Texas's mountains. Take side trips to Chinati Hot Springs, Big Bend National and State Parks..

We are full-time residents of Marfa and operate inde/jacobs gallery and other businesses (Vilis is the gallery director, Tom is an investment advisor). We love the Big Bend region and take our two dogs on all our hikes and trips.
Why the Owner Chose Marfa
We visited, fell in love with, and chose to make our home in Marfa in 2005. The apartments became a project to share our enthusiasm for this minimalist art mecca and its people.

This promptly could not be located any more centrally. It's a short walk to everything in town - including a grocery store, restaurants, and just one block away from the Lost Horse Saloon. The room was comfortable and well stocked, and the owner was a sweetheart. I would say that the room is ideal for a couple or someone traveling alone as it's not huge. But, I do highly recommend Stay Marfa.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, adventure seekers, girls getaway.
