Four bedrooms make Vineyard Station Ranch Masion the ideal vacation home for three to four couples, as well as girl friends, wedding parties, and other small groups. (Expand your group of up to 10, to up to 16 by also reserving The Ranch's adjacent and charming Chaumière.) Three of The Maison's bedrooms are spacious, with two king beds and one queen bed. The fourth is small, with a double bed. The living room, separated from the dining/family room, features a sofa bed.
Gather gourmet ingredients at the Farmers Market, Sonoma Market, Sonoma’s Best , Safeway, or Whole Foods and whip together a meal in the spacious, centrally located country kitchen. Ample tiled counter space, a versatile island, and original Eames table with swedish chairs from Google headquarters, make the kitchen a gathering place for groups who love to cook. A vintage table in the spacious dining/family room seats 8 or more.
Curl up on the comfy sectional sofa around the fireplace and enjoy vineyard views over the redwood deck and outdoor dining area. Dine outdoors and take in gorgeous sunsets over the surrounding mountaintops. Then slip into the hot tub for a soak under the stars.
Enjoy a game of croquet on the expansive lawn, which wraps around the redwood deck. Walk through the vineyards to Denmark Street, a country road, which connects to the streets of Sonoma.
A separate front room, equipped with a desk, comfortable seating, a convertible sofa, flat screed television and DVD player provides space to watch movies - or quiet moments for catching up with the office - if you must.
Slip into 600 thread count linens beneath fluffy down comforters for a great night's sleep. Enjoy a fire from the jetted bathtub in the master bath or luxurious king sized bed. Step outside the master bedroom to your own deck for coffee in the morning. Relax, reflect. You'll remember Sonoma as one of the most special places on earth.
The 2,300 square foot Vineyard Station Ranch Maison is the perfect choice of vineyard homes to celebrate a special occasion in the heart of the real wine country for your party of up to ten.
Vineyard Station Ranch History
Vineyard Station Ranch celebrates the ranch's history as one of the region's first resorts. Know as "Vineyard Villa" the resort was established by the French Rouquie family in the late 1800's. Century old olive trees and an enormous cork oak planted by the Rouquies grace this land, where views of the Sonoma and Mayacamas mountain ranges over lush, mature vineyards from The Maison are unobstructed. Sunrises and sunsets are breathtaking.
Location, Location, Location
If you seek immersion in the wine country, convenient proximity to restaurants, galleries, shops, parks, museums, entertainment, events and historic sites, The Ranch’s central location is ideal. Venture just minutes in any direction to discover a multitude of wineries and restaurants in Sonoma, Napa and The Carneros. If there are children in your group Train Town is just one mile away and Sonoma Plaza, with playgrounds and picnic tables, is just two miles. Pamper your self with a spa treatment at the nearby Raindance Spa at Lodge at Sonoma, also just one mile from The Ranch.

The Vineyards
Owner Art Fichtenberg of Fichtenberg Vineyards, can often make himself available for vineyard tours, food and wine pairings, winemaker dinners, and wine education seminars. Vineyard designated varietals are grown at Vineyard Station Ranch in the Sonoma Coast Appellation, a specific slice of land which is warmer that the Carneros and cooler than Sonoma Valley. Nineteen of the ranch’s 26 acres are planted in Merlot, Malbec and Chardonnay, grapes perfectly suited to the climate and soil. These high quality grapes are shepherded to produce limited edition wines in small handcrafted lots, all of which are consistent medal winners.
Enjoy temporary wine club membership and discounts at the Fichtenberg Tasting Room, located at The Mercato on Sonoma Plaza. Join the wine club and you will be entitled to future lodging discounts at Vineyard Station Ranch.

Pat, It was a great experience staying at the Vineyard Station home. The house had an excellent layout, providing an ideal environment for our wedding preparations. Although the home was on a busy street, the trees and plantings provided an excellent buffer, and the privacy was unbelievable. Because the house opens up toward the back, looking over vineyards toward mountains, we truly felt like there was no one around for miles. The air conditioning provided a cool retreat from our warm and busy days. We even hosted a bridal shower at the house, and the ladies thought the setting was perfect. The wedding party members all commented how thankful they were to have such a perfect retreat for the week. At one point, the bride-to-be mused that “we should have just held the wedding outside here!” Thanks for the great accommodations. The VSR Maison should be applauded for having a layout in the main area conducive to large meals and gatherings along with beautifully appointed bedrooms located down a long, quiet hallway. We definitely appreciated the property's strong cell reception and wireless network with over 20 devices in use at once. Plenty of shaded parking, a very short drive into town - or better, take a daily walk through the vineyards to the square for a coffee or tasting. Outside is a wrap-around back deck where you can watch the grapes grow, grill meals, have an outdoor bonfire, relax in the spa....Having rented many other vacation homes, the VSR Maison is first-class choice.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, age 55+, families with teenagers.

My family and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Vineyard Station over the 4th of July holiday. We had an amazing time! The house was exactly as shown in the pictures with stunning views of the adjacent vineyards. The beds and bedding were of the utmost quality. Everyone had privacy, yet there was plenty of space in the family room and study to visit, do puzzles, and play games. we especially love the outside patio with hot tub and portable fireplace. The owner stopped by our second day and treated us to two bottles of wine from the vineyards right outside our door which were wonderful. Also, he welcomed us to a 4th of July potluck at the "main house" on the property. We had a total of 8 adults and one child staying in the house and everyone loved it! We would recommend Vineyard Station to anyone!! Truly a memorable experience:)Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

About the owner: Winemaker and grape grower, Art Fichtenberg, your Vineyard Station Ranch host, brings knowledge of the land, the surrounding wine country, the area’s history, and the local community, to his unique 26-acre property. Art launched his career as a grammar school teacher, moving on to become a top real estate sales person, developer, financial consultant, vineyard owner and winemaker. He founded the Sonoma Valley Leadership program and guided development of The Sonoma Valley Teen Center. He now takes great pride in opening his ranch to wine country visitors. The ranch’s vineyards, incredible views, one hundred year old olive trees and cork oak tree, make the property’s much more than simply an outstanding house and cottalge in a great location. Art developed them, as with every project with which he as been associated, including The Carneros Inn and The Mercato on historic Sonoma Plaza, with an eye to quality. The location is ideal for those who desire to stay in the heart of the vineyards. Perfectly situated in the southeast corner of the Sonoma Coast AVA, (American Viticultural Area), resting below the southern toe of the Mayacamas Mountain Range, north of Carneros, and west of Napa Valley, the ranch is nestled in southeastern Sonoma Valley. The vineyards are influenced by the maritime climate from San Pablo Bay, as well as the fog-laden breezes, which blow across Sonoma Mountain from the Pacific to the west. This location is ideal for producing the highest quality grapes. Wines are handcrafted and made in very small quantities to ensure the highest possible quality. As a guest of Vineyard Station Ranch you will enjoy temporary membership in the Fichtenberg Vineyards Wine Club and may arrange a winemaker dinner with Art. Whatever your desire may be – to cook in, dine out, or enjoy a winemaker dinner - it is Art’s goal to make certain you have the best experience possible.
