Location: Kure Beach, Southern Coast, Coastal, North Carolina, USA (18 miles South of Wilmington, 10 miles North of Southport)

Accommodations:  Beachfront House, 6 Bedrooms, 4 Baths (Sleeps 13)

The Blue Dolphin will comfortably accommodate 13 people on two floors or a family of 4 if you rent one floor. Beautiful, clean beaches, exceptional views -- a great place for all ages to make lasting vacation memories.

The ground level provides parking for four vehicles, enclosed hot/cold shower, charcoal grill, access to second level oceanfront deck, private beach walkway, and front door entry to second level.

The second level offers wonderful views from an open floor plan with easy access to the beach off the deck to the private walkway. Off the living room is an oceanfront bedroom (Queen) with private bath and direct access to the ocean-front deck. Down the hall is a full bath and another bedroom (two twins) with an ocean view.

The third level offers two oceanfront bedrooms with private access to the upper sun deck, and an oceanfront bath with whirlpool bathtub for two. Two more bedrooms and another full bath are also located on the third level. Serving all third level guests is the morning kitchen/wet bar complete with refrigerator, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker.

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Blue Dolphin. It couldn't have been more accommodating especially having two families of very young children. The layout of the bedrooms was perfect. The separation of families at night and early morning was great! (Half were early risers - the others, not so early) Having a small kitchen on the top level was perfect for us too. We feel very fortunate to have found the Blue Dolphin on VRBO and would highly recommend it. Choosing a home on the ocean was another good choice of ours. I'm so glad we didn't choose a place 2 or 3 streets in.

  • The Blue Dolphin is our FAVORITE place to stay along the North Carolina coast! The house has fantastic views of the ocean, and we especially love the sound of the surf keeping us company all day long. The house has a great layout. If you're cooking in the kitchen, you're still a part of the action in the living room; and yet you can find some privacy in any of the bedrooms or on one of the two decks with full view of the ocean. You may even spot a dolphin or two when you're outside on the decks! The only downside to the Blue Dolphin is leaving it at the end of vacation!

  • What a great vacation house. The place is decorated beautifully, fun not stuffy. It’s easy to keep clean and the decks are fabulous! Lot’s to do in the area, which is a plus. Very reasonably priced, we’ll be back!

  • I spent a week here in July 2006 and enjoyed myself immensely. It had a marvelous view of the ocean and I went to sleep listening to the sound of the surf. It was clean, comfortable, and had everything I could possibly need to enjoy my visit. I hope to visit again in the near future.

  • Love the Beach, Love the view, Love the area, Love the company. What more is there to say? Such a nice place to relax and have fun. The house is great, plenty of room for everyone. And right on the Beach. The morning sunrises are so beautiful. Shell hunting is great too!
