- Dana's Grotto's decor is bright and fun, perfect for beach living. The master bedroom has a 4 post king bed and guest bedroom has a queen sleigh bed. Unit has a great ocean view from second floor with vaulted ceilings and no one living above to create noise. We provide beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, kids wet suits, and sand toys. Unit is next to year round heated pool and hot tub. We also have Wi Fi and cable TV.

We really enjoyed our vacation in California. We loved the location of the condo - really enjoyed all the walking trails and the beautiful views by the park across from the condo. The owner was very helpful and courteous. We either relaxed by the pool or were off seeing the surrounding areas. We would not hesitate to recommend the condo to others and we will be back again some day.

The condo was just as pictured and with a lot of great stuff for beach. The place had everthing we needed and more. Aaron and Gina were great and helped us with some site seeing questions before we arrived. We preferred staying in Dana Point as to LA or San Diego. The beach below the condo is a true natural beauty and great for kids. Lots of stuff to do in Dana Point, Laguna Beach, and San Clemente.

We came from NJ and just love the Dana Point and the area. We did all the sites in LA and San Diego and it was nice to come back to Dana Point out the big cities. The condo had all the premium cable channels with a LCD and DVD player in master bedroom. Tons of stuff for the kids to use at the beach and right next to the pool. We will be back next summer!

This was a great place to stay! We were in the middle of Disney Land and San Diego Zoo, and right by the beach. It was fun to drive a few miles to Laguna Beach and play. The house was nice and had everything we needed, including all the beach toys. Water and beaches were nice!

My family and I rented Dana's Grotto for a week this spring. We had driven nearly 14 hours from Colorado. We were told not to arrive to the condo until 4 p.m. in order to give the cleaning crew enough time to finish. Upon arriving on time - we were shocked to find that the condo had not been cleaned. The bed sheets were soiled, food was left in the fridge, and a layer of dust was found on nearly every surface. There was also a foul odor and ants. Soon - we noticed that the pool/spa was under construction without our knowledge prior to arriving. Also - the beach access is under construction with mulit-million dollar homes being built. It is quite a walk around the construction and down to the beach. Needless to say we were disappointed as this was one of the reasons we chose this particular condo. We tried to contact the owner (Aaron) by leaving several voice mail messages. After 2 hours - we had nowhere clean to sleep and were forced to get a hotel last minute on a Saturday night. We finally received a return phone call later that evening. He apologized for the miscommunication between he and the cleaning crew and promised to have the condo ready the following morning. He also agreed to pay for our hotel. Although the owner came through on the cleaning and reimbursement for the hotel, we believe that the condo description should have been updated with an accurate portrayal of the actual amenities that are available to renters.
