NEW on the Rental Market and one of the very few Isle of Palms vacation homes actually on the Intracoastal Waterway with all its amenities including a 100' deep water dock, floating dock, jet ski ramp dock, swimming, fishing and seasonal crabbing and shrimping. This absolutely charming 2800 sq. ft. home has a beautiful large screened in porch for outside dining and relaxation, as well as, a classic upper level sun deck for complete privacy. Our home is only 4 blocks away from beautiful Isle of Palms beach, accessible by walking, biking, golf cart or motor vehicle.
Isle of Palms Marina is a 5 minute walk from our home and offers a full service restaurant (Morgan's Creek Grill), grocery store and service station, boat ramp and fishing headquarters, boat and jet ski rental, charter boat fishing, ferry to DeWees Island, kayaking and paddle boarding, as well as, Eco and nature tours of the Waterway, inlets, marshes, creeks and surrounding islands.
With fantastic sunsets gracing your every evening outside on the Waterway behind our home, your vacation rental is a scenic wonderland of dolphins swimming by, grey and blue herons, egrets, brown pelicans, osprey and an occasional eagle, not to mention the passing of luxury yachts as they travel the Intracoastal from as far north as Canada and as far south as the Florida Keys.
Your vacation home is located on the most desirable quiet cul-de-sac on the Island, outside Wild Dunes. There is parking for two vehicles under the house and at least four others in the circular driveway. The Isle of Palms is only 30 minutes from the Charleston airport which will be enhanced by the service of Southwest Airlines starting in March of 2011. Also serving Charleston are Delta, US Air, Continental, United and American Airlines, while Spirit Air serves Myrtle Beach only 90 minutes away.
Casual dining is available at several fine Isle of Palms restaurants, as well as, on nearby Sullivan's Island only 10 minutes south, just across Breach Inlet bridge. The very visitor friendly city of Charleston awaits just 20 minutes away with casual and gourmet dining, shopping, horse drawn carriage tours, haunted house and ghost tours, museums, the aquarium, several theaters, a comedy club and night spots.
History buffs will treasure the Ft. Sumpter tour, the Confederate 'Hunley', cobblestoned streets, narrow alleys and secret gardens (think Savannah and New Orleans).
Across the causeway in Mt. Pleasant is Patriots Point with the WWII aircraft carrier, the Yorktown and other important naval vessels. Also in Mt. Pleasant is historic Shem Creek with its shrimp boats and seafood restaurants, Boone Hall Plantation with its historic slave cabins, Blackbeards Cove for its miniature golf, go-cart track, and paintball gun range, as well as, the Town Center offering the 12 screen Palmetto Grande cinema, restaurants and shopping.
Upon entering our home you will find a large open area kitchen and dining area which seats 8 around the dining table and 4 at the kitchen bar. There are two refrigerators (full and a smaller one for drinks), two ovens, microwave, dishwasher and all cooking and dining utensils, plus a half bath. The downstairs area is served by two flat screen TVs with DVD player and serviced by DISH NETWORK and its 150 channels and pay per view options. The entire home is Internet friendly provided by WIFI. There are two separate living areas on the main floor...the great room connected to the dining area and a side living room with a queen size pullout couch.
The screened-in back deck has two lounge chairs, four hugh rocking chairs and a glass patio table for dining. The deck extends into the sunshine with a high wooden table, stools and a gas grill.
The upstairs contains 3 bedrooms and two full baths, as well as, laundry room with washer and dryer. The master bedroom has a king size bed, ceiling hung flat screen TV, French doors leading to the sun deck and master bathroom with new air jet Jacuzzi type tub. The two smaller bedrooms parallel the second full bathroom. One bedroom has a queen size bed with a TV looking out over the golf course across the street, and the other bedroom also opens unto the sun deck with views of the Intracoastal as far as the eye can see. If you are lucky, you will be awakened by a beautifully lit tugboat pushing a 200' barge silently through the night right in your own backyard.
The two double sized chaise lounges on the upper deck are perfect for relaxing, reading, and watching the magnificent sunset.
Of course, words cannot describe the beauty of our living conditions. The pictures do our house justice, but there is nothing like being here. Come on down...!

We had such a great time. This place is great to both relax and have fun! The owners made it so easy for us by providing the linens and great instructions/tips for the week. I would definitely take the advice in their tips because all of the recommendations were awesome! We loved biking to the marina for lunch etc. The golf cart was awesome to take to the beach and around the island. Renting this place definitely helped to take our worries from home away.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

Our family including our son, daughter and son in law spent an extended vacation in this lovely home. We enjoyed sitting on the porch, watching the boats go by or fishing off the back dock. The house was both comfortable and appropriately equipped. Anything and everything you would need was provided. All in all not a bad way to spend time with your family in a picturesque setting. We all had one terrific time!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children.
