My husband & I stayed here in February and it was the perfect get-away. We love this area and it's beautiful in all seasons! The home was perfect for us and would also be great for a family since it has lots of sleeping areas/options, two full bathrooms, laundry room, large kitchen with all appliances/dishware, and of course, the perfectly positioned hot tub over looking Lake Michigan. The beach stretches as far as you can see, making for great walks or bonfires. The owners are very organized and provide a great guide to the home and surrounding area. Also, this home is only a few minutes from Oleson's grocery store and downtown Manistee making it very convenient!

Owner response:Thanks to Karen for such kind words. And she is so right....Manistee is a perfect getaway all year long. While Summer and Fall are out busiest times, great deals can be had for the Winter and Spring. The beach is great all year long and the hot tub is a great option for the cooler nights and days of Spring!

We just wanted to say thank you for sharing your beautiful house with us this weekend! It is so spacious and has such a warm and welcoming feel to it. You couldn't ask for a better view or location! Plus the hot tub was amazing!!!!! Our group of moms really enjoyed our Girls Weekend there! I will keep this house in mind for future getaways for sure!

We wanted a relaxing, quiet, romantic getaway..... did we ever get one! The views of Lake Michigan and the sunsets were spectacular....The beach home was very comfortable and the hot tub and seclusion were most appreciated...I recommend this destination for a stress free, relaxing getaway.It was the perfect way to enjoy the lake and the peaceful sounds of the waves......We will most definetly try to make it back in the near future!

Romantic Fall Getaway

This was a spectacular romantic getaway! We came here after our wedding and could have asked for a better place. The private secluded location on Lake michigan was wonderful, peaceful and romantic. The views were amazing along with the sunsets while relaxing in the hot tub. We came up here for the fall colors aswell and were not disappointed! We took a long ride up the cost and the colrs were amazing! We would recomnd this place to Midwest Living magizine all the quant towns along the lake were ideal for shopping and the food at the resturansts was excellent. I highly recomend staying here! We will definetly be back!!

We had a wonderful time at this place called "Heaven" by it's owner. The house was well maintained and clean. The owner left explicit instructions on how to use the hot tub and other amenities. The view out the picture window was awesome of Lake Michigan. It was so cool to just have to walk down some stairs and be right there on Lake Michigan. Having direct access to the beach is what attracted us to this property. We really enjoyed the hot tub, walking along the beach and the sun room. The community of Manistee seemed very friendly and we enjoyed sightseeing and shopping in the downtown district. I appreciated using the washer and dryer when a clothes emergency occurred. It being there prevented me from having to by new clothes. The owner is very flexible and understanding when minor accidents occur... like breaking a glass, etc. I also appreciated the eat-in kitchen and dishwasher, which made things very easy. I would definitely recommend this property to family and friends and know that we most probably will revisit in the future.

We had a very relaxing and quiet Columbus Day weekend. Away from all that traffic and noises, we really enjoyed this quiet setting away from everything. The weather was beautiful and we only met one person over the weekend at the beach. We also loved the sunroom which heated up during the day so we could sit all evening long there and play some board games. Thank you to the house owners for letting us stay at their wonderful house ! This home is truly "heaven on earth". The views of the lake are breathtakinly beautiful. You can see a gorgeous sunset almost every night from the comfort of your very own deck overlooking the beach as well. Completely relaxing and wonderful. We will stay at this home again!

For four years in a row we have spent our summer vacation here and we absolutely love it! The house is extremely comfortable and very nice, the lake view is absolutely amazing, and the town of Manistee and surrounding cities are so much fun to explore. This it not a 'hustle and bustle' vacation, but an amazing relaxing retreat that we've enjoyed with family and friends. If you are considering a vacation on Lake Michigan, I would highly recommend this venue with a deck, hot tub and beach view that is definitely worth every penny.

We stayed for 3 wonderful nights over Labor Day! The place was awsome and the views were breathtaking! The beach was so wonderful and private. The hottub was also very nice. We will stay here again! We give it a 10! Thanks so much. Chris

What an amazing place to stay! We could not have asked for a nicer beach/views- the sunsets were amazing! The house is very nice, clean and comfy. We definetely hope to be back! Hated to leave. A slice of heaven for sure.

What a great house! We fell in love with it & hope to book again in the fall. The weather wasn't very good, rain & cold, but the kitchen was great, our meals were excellent & the view was awesome. We did get in the hot tub briefly. And I saw 6-8 deer along the side of the house when I went out to the car Mon morning. They must sleep up on that hill, beyond that barrel, because as I watched, 3 more stood up. We all stared at one another for a few minutes, but they didn't run til I opened the car door. Neat! I'll get back to you soon about the fall, as I can see we have to book soon. Thanks Janet

We stayed here for a girls getaway weekend, it was perfect. The home was very comfortable, the hot tub was so great and the views and secluded beach could not have been better. You'll hate to leave, we did!

Thanks for your interest in our property. Summer filled up fast so consider booking early for 2005....Don't forget Michigan's amazing Fall color. Our private home is a great private get-a-way. Or maybe you're adventurous and would like to cross country or downhill ski. Our home is available in the winter too.

This rental was relaxation at it's best. The view of the lake is spectacular from every location. My husband and I would recommend this to couples and familes alike. We would like to thank the owners for providing such comfortable and relaxing surroundings!!
