Perfect place to get away from it all. Our girls loved the local beach and the two state parks within a short drive. Thank you so much for sharing this special spot.

This place was incredible. The perfect spot right on the water. The added bonus was being set up for children which was an added bonus for our 1 1/2 year old. Everything was nice and we enjoyed it so much. If we ever travel to Maine again..this is the place to stay! Thank you so much!

Owner response: Thanks Beverly! We have young ones ourselves and want to ensure folks enjoy the cottage as much with their children as we enjoy it with ours! Like you, when we travel we are concerned about lodging that caters to children...pack and play, kids place settings, high chair...and whether there will be enough to keep the kids occupied...toys, games, local attractions. We have tried to make sure our home does both. Having a beach with readily available toys so close to the cottage can keep the little ones engaged for hours. We truly appreciate your review! Glad you enjoyed your stay and would love to have you back again. Sincerely, Keith and Valori

We can’t wait to go back next year. That about says it all. First, the pictures don’t do it justice. The accommodations are great. The access to the beach/cove is a block away. The children (daughter, son-in-law, son, son’s girlfriend) ages 25 to 30 rented paddle boards for the week and enjoyed the (cold) water around the many coves. The lobster at the local store was great, we cooked home one night. The town of Bath is very nice. The friendliness of the people was a welcome change from our home area (Metro NYC). We took a sail out of Bar Harbor. Nice town also. I don’t think that the 2,500 words that you are limited to is enough to describe our week. As I said “We can’t wait to go back next year. “

Owner response: Stan, Thanks for the wonderful review. We are glad you enjoyed everything Georgetown and the surrounding area has to offer. One of the best ways to see Georgetown is from the water. Looks like you and your children can attest to that first hand! As a New Yorker myself, I appreciate your comments on the people and way of life in Georgetown. That is one of the many reasons why we bought this home. Georgetown definitely lives up to the sign you read when entering the state...Maine, the way life SHOULD be. Looking forward to your return next year. Sincerely, Keith and Valori

This is a lovely home very centrally located to many areas of Maine. The bedrooms are very comfortable and the sunroom is a wonderful place to gather after a day of sightseeing. The front porch offfers a great view of the old fort and lobster pots. Just a short walk away is a great beach where we found lots of sea glass. An easy drive away is Bath, Freeport, Five Islands and Portland. Be sure to stop at the country store and visit with the people on the front porch. We learned so much from them. Hope to come back often.

Owner response: Richard, Thanks for the review. You are absolutely right! The sunroom is one of our favorite rooms in the house for watching the sunset or all the wildlife in and on in the water. Some folks say the sunsets in Hawaii are the best in the world. I am not so sure they have been to the coast of Maine before! Looking forward to your return, Keith and Valori

We rented this home over July 4th and LOVED it! The location and views were wonderful, as were the neighbors- my kids would go off on their bikes and play with the rest of the kids in the neighborhood for hours. The beach around the corner is great as is Reid State Park, which is very close. The house itself was very clean, very new. Bay Point is one of my new favorite spots in the area.

You hit the nail on the head...Bay Point is an incredible spot (and one of the best kept secrets on the Maine coast)! Sincerely, Keith and Valori

Donna, Glad you loved the home. Sorry for the tattered towels! We have inspected all our linens and repalced any items showing wear. Just to be sure, anything even slightly in question got an early retirement! Thanks for your comments! Sincerely, Keith & Valori (Property Owners)

Just wanted to drop you a line to say how wonderful our vacation was. We loved the property. Most amenities were luxurious (with the exception of the towels, which were ripped and torn!) The cottage was completely supplied for a young child, which was an added bonus. And the view was unbeatable! How soon would we have to book to get the same week, same property, next year? We bought a season pass to the Maine parks and ended up using it everyday. Popham was our big find. We would like to mail the pass back to you so you can pass it on to other clients, probably for next week. What address should we use? Please do a "reply to all" so my daughter can see your response because she's th eone with the pass. Best, Donna
