  Our family stayed at the house when our son graduated from Parris Island. It was wonderful. We decided to all stay together (children and grandchildren). It was a 40 minute drive to the base, but well worth it. It accommodated everyone quite well. There was plenty of room for all 20 of us. The kids had a good time playing on the beach even though it was a little cold. I wish we were staying there in the summer! Marla ( the owner) is the best. She is very easy to work with. I have another son that is going to join the marines and I will be staying there again.

  Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

  We so enjoyed our stay at 775 Marlin. The house more than met our expectations. Very spacious, very clean and very well equipped. I would definitely stay in this house again. We had a small issue with the golf cart when we arrived. I contacted the owner and they came right over and replaced the cart. Wonderful vacation experience!! I highly recommend this home and working with the owners was a pleasure.

  We loved everything about this house and this vacation!! The kids loved the fact that we were so close to the water and so we could go back to the house very easily. The house is absolutely beautiful and has a lot of room!! The house was extremely clean and well taken care of. We loved going to the water every morning and looking for loggerhead turtle tracks-- and one morning there were some tracks right outside of our house!! We loved exploring everything that the island had to offer. The owners are wonderful and extremely helpful!! I would recommend this house and island to anyone looking for a fun and relaxing vacation!!

  We rented this lovely home for my son's wedding the first week in April. There were about 20 staying at the house for the week and everyone raved about how nicely appointed the house was, how comfortable, and all the amenities. It's obvious that the owners take pride in their property, as it is very well-maintained and was immaculately clean when we arrived. The location is incredible and was perfect for the wedding - a short walk through the dunes to the beach. Marla was incredible to work with. We felt she truly wanted us to have a wonderful experience and she could not have been more helpful. We needed ladders for assembling the arbor on the beach and she made sure we had them at the house! We needed extra coffee pots, and she had them there! Outside outlets appeared to not be working, and she had the electrician there in less than an hour! She was the best! The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious, the kitchen very well stocked with every pot, utensil, or dish needed, and the home is beautifully decorated. One of my favorite times was sitting on the deck or the screened porch with my coffee watching the sun rise and feeling the sea breeze. We also enjoyed fishing, crabbing, walks on the beach, biking, and day trips to Beaufort and Savannah. Although some of us brought bikes and fishing gear, there is plenty of both provided. Marla recommended some restaurants which we tried and liked, as well as Gay's, a great place to buy fresh seafood. This is the perfect home for small weddings and family reunions. We all had an incredible experience, and hope to return to Fripp and to this house! I highly recommend this property for the property itself and for the wonderful, helpful owners! Thanks Marla for your part in making this a most memorable week!

  My wife's family has been vacationing on Fripp since the early 90's and this was by far the best place we have stayed. The house is beautiful, in a beautiful location and has some of the best views in the world. The kitchen is far bigger than the pictures make it seem and the living room/dining room is very spacious. The second floor master bedroom is enormous and the balcony off of itis the perfect finishing touch. The other bedroom on the second floor is huge as well. The first floor master bedrooms are very large and with 9 adults and 4 children under 8, each room having its own bathroom was invaluable coming off of the beach every day. The kitchen is very well equipped for a rental property (plenty of utensils, plenty of pots and pans, and dishses though we used mostly paper and plastic) making it very easy to do some food shopping at the beginning of the week and nevewr have to leave the beach. The back deck areas are also very large and are great for outdoor eating or sand-free sun bathing. No house we have ever rented had as many beach chairs bicycles (that looked brand new), fishing equipment and beach toys as this one. The golf cart is a fun way to survey the isalnd without having to take your car. The owners were extremely accomodating and responsive to all of our needs and questions. I am already planning my return for next year. I cannot say enough good things about our experience here.

  Sandy Shores is an absolute dream. We rented the house for a week and got married on the beach. We very comfortably slept 9 couples and had plenty of extra room. This house is MUCH bigger than the pictures appear and in excellent condition. The owner, Marla, is extremely helpful and accommodating. She gave us her cell number and was always available to us. We hosted the reception in the house for around 50 people and it never felt cramped. The view is amazing, screened in porch is great, and rooms are large. Each room has its own bathroom and mounted flat screen. We used the golf cart everyday to get around the island - visiting friends, going to the fishing pier, etc. The house has everything you could possibly need - bikes, beach toys, games, poles, etc. It has 3 fridges and a fully stocked kitchen. I can't say enough good things about Sandy Shores. We've made great memories and can't wait to visit again soon!!

  We were married on the beach at Fripp Island and stayed in Sandy Shores for our small reception after and through the weekend. We could not have been more pleased and comfortable in this home. Everyone was impressed and felt right at home here. It was so perfect that we have decided to spend our anniversary here with friends and family each year! The owners could not have been more gracious and helpful, even with all the wedding plans, we can't thank them enough. We highly recommend spending vacations here!

  Just returned from Fripp Island and a stay at Sandy Shores. There were 10 of us and we loved the house. It was great to have so many bathrooms, loved the screen porch and the spacious kitchen. We enjoyed the bikes and the golf cart so much! We had a couple of 80+ family members who could have benefited from a railing from the bedrooms into the kitchen area. Great family vacation!

  Sandy Shores is a wonderful home and the location is fantastic. We were a party of 9, two familes, kids ranged from 13-16. The house is very clean, comfortable, and well equipped, including the kitchen utensils and serving pieces. The online pictures are very representative, and the house feels even bigger in use. We used the bikes and golf cart to transport ourselves around the island. One of the most comfortable rooms, and the least used by us, was the family room. The boys brought their XBOXs and hooked each up to one of the bedroom flat screens and played online with each other and their friends. The girls went for bike rides. The adults enjoyed the screen porch overlooking the beach and ocean. The topography of the property is interesting too. Very different at low and high tide. Huge beach at both, and at low tide you can walk what seems like half way to Bermuda. The island itself is very nice, quiet and clean. It is the perfect place to relax, sun, fun, and read. The only challenge for us was dining. To eat on island (and use the other amenities -- golf, tennis, pools) you need to purchase the Amenity Cards. We ate at the Beach Club one night, and I am being generous when I say they had a bad night. The grocery store (Publix and others) are about a 20 minute ride off island back toward Beaufort, as of course are other restaurants. We like to eat out 2-3 times while at the beach, and had great meals at Dockside (Port Royal, 30-45 minutes) and Boondocks (15 minutes). Worth the drive vs on-island dining. I highly recommend Sandy Shores. The owner, Marla, is super responsive and very easy to work with. This was one of our best beach vacations!
