The House By The Sea is conveniently located two blocks from the heart of downtown Carmel, walking distance to the miriad of restaurants, galleries, shops, the beach, tennis, walking trails, Sunset Plaza and the Mission. And, as one of our guest wrote; "It's a wonderful home to walk back to - spacious, clean and well-maintained and beautifully decorated. It's the perfect place in a perfect town for a perfectly relaxing and enjoyable vacation."
This fantastic,comfortable, two-level home has three nicely sized and decorated bedrooms and a separate office space with wireless hook up. There is a gas fireplace on each floor, one in the bedroom and one in the living room, along with a deck on each floor. The dining table seats six to eight, plus there is a second "breakfast nook" in cheerful kitchen looking out into the beautiful trees and skyline.
All of the windows on the backside of the house look out into a sea of trees. There is parking for two cars on the driveway. You are sure to find this very pleasant home a great way to spend time seeing one of the most beautiful areas in the world. And, you won't feel as though you are in someone else's home as there is not a lot of clutter and personal items, but in your own space, which is why guests have been returning year after year for the past 15+ years.

Treehouse by the Sea is a great place to spend extended time. We enjoyed the comfort and decor of the home and its closeness to most all of the Carmel attractions---especially to the shuttles going to and from the AT&T Pro Am Golf Tournament, a 5 minute walk. This house is clean and comfortable. It's a perfect place for spending time with family. The neighborhood is quiet and it is an easy walk to town.Recommended for: Girls getaway, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+.

My wife and I spent 4 days of our honeymoon in this house and it was perfect. Close to everything and had everything to enjoy a great 4 days. Would highly recommend.Recommended for: Girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+.

My wife and I have completed our fourth stay at Tree House by the Sea and once again found it to be our home away from home for our extended stay. Our repeat visits speaks well for this home, convenient to all the events, sights and activities we so enjoy in the Carmel area. We have always found Jill Hotvet's Carmel home to be everything that is advertised and, Jill herself a most gracious hostess. We would recommend her home to anyone wanting a comfortable and convenient home to all that the Carmel area offers.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers.

The Treehouse by The Sea was exceptionnaly clean and comfortable. If you want a good book to read while in Carmel, they have a ton of them. The location makes for a very easy walk into to town. We had a wonderful stay at the Treehouse this past summer. The location can't be beat: The house an easy walk to town, and it is located in such a charming area. It is spacious and comfortable, with all of the amenities, and the view from the upstairs is as lovely as the photos suggest. Thank you Jill for a lovely vacation. This is a wonderfully comfortable and convenient cottage situated only a few blocks from down town but in a very peaceful area. The beach is a short walk down the hill. Jill was immensely helpful and easy to work with in all communications. If we ever holiday in Carmel again I wouldn't stay any place else.
