Pico Slopeside 3 BR/2 BA Renovated Condo Ski in/Ski Out!
- Minimum stay:N/A
- Internet:Yes
- Pets allowed:No
- Wheel chair accessible:No
Pico 3 bedroom/ 2 bath condo located on the ground floor with parking just outside the front door. Bed set up as follows: 1 queen, 2 singles, and 2 sets of bunkbeds. The unit has just received a complete paint job and a number of upgrades including tile throughout foyer, kitchen and bathrooms, new carpeting in living room and bedrooms, new bathroom vanities, new kitchen with stainless steel appliances, flatscreen TV's and wireless internet.
We use this condo personally and try to make as cozy as possible. The new kitchen is well equipped with pots, pans, dishes and utensils (although the local restaurants are excellent). Unit has a back door to send the kids out and play so the adults can relax with a glass of wine in front of the wood burning fireplace.
As long as mother nature lays down enough of the white stuff you can ski down to the base area and ski back to the condo. All trails lead to central base area and a rustic lodge with good food and a huge stone fireplace.
Please note: The mountain is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays throughout the ski season except during holidays weeks. These days you would have to drive to Killington (5 mins) to ski/board.
Pico Sports Center is also located just a short walk down the hill and has an olympic sized pool, 2 hot tubs, weight room, spin room, yoga and more. Please contact Pico Sports Center (802) 747-0564 for more info and pricing.

We had a wonderful time at Drew's condo! We had lots of snow, was definitely ski in and out and my family loved getting first chair two days in a row! The condo's amenities were more than expected and we loved having the washer/dryer! I would definitely recommend it to others for a family friendly ski vacation!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

I stayed in this property with 6 friends for a weekend getaway, and it completely exceeded all of our expectations. The pictures do not do the size of this condo justice. The 7 of us fit very comfortably and had plenty of room to store all of our belongings and equipment. The kitchen is fully stocked with every appliance and utensil we could imagine. (We actually stayed in to cook the 3 nights we were there). There was not enough snow to ski down to the lifts, but we were able to walk down to them without a problem. The owner of this property was great and quick to respond to any questions. I look forward to renting from him next year!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

The condo was exactly as described, in a great location, clean and well-appointed. We cooked in and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the cooking utensils/pots pan. The owner checked in with us on Saturday via email to make sure we were all set, and refunded our deposited within a day. I will rent here again on my next ski trip to Pico.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

The condo was very clean and had just what we needed. Nice kitchen, loved the real fireplace, washer/dryer came in handy, 2 clean bathrooms and space for our ski stuff. It is a ski in/out, maybe not for young kids, but the drive to Pico takes no time at all. Awesome conditions, 2 days of snow, only helped in a nice stay. Also, Drew was very helpful and even sent us a link to discount tickets and responded to all inquiries. Would definitely recommend as well as return for future stays.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We stayed in this apartment as a family of three adults plus two kids (7 years and 15 months old). Apartment itself was a great place. It fully met our expectations and needs during this 7 days stay. Since we cooked and did not eat out (we spend Christmas in a traditional way), we relied heavily on the kitchen and all appliances which this kitchen had (very well equipped). Apartment is located in a very attractive place (next to Pico Mountain) for skiers and only 10 minutes drive from Killington Skiing Complex. It was clean and exactly as described by the owners. Great vacation! Thanks a lot!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.
Owner response: I am glad you enjoyed the holiday and our home with your family. You are welcome back anytime! Best, Drew

We would recommend this vacation property to anyone. It is the perfect accommodation for families. The kids can have their own room and bathroom. The kitchen is well equipped and open to the living room for easy conversation and visiting while cooking. The living room has cozy furniture and a wonderful wood burning fireplace that we thoroughly enjoyed with a glass of wine after a day of skiing. We loved the heat lamps in the bathrooms! The washer and dryer were very handy to dry out mitts and hats after the snowy days. Drew was very helpful and made sure that everything was all organized. We look forward to returning in future years!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

The unit was very nicely decorated and very well equiped. The location was great especially for my older children. It was a bit hard with a three year old on a harness. Overall I would definitely rent this unit again.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Why the Owner Chose Killington:
Pico Mountain is steeped in history as it is one of the earliest ski areas in America and the mountain has retained much of it's old charm. All the trails meet at the central base area so the mountain is great for families. However there is plenty of aggressive terrain for the more advanced skiers and riders. The terrain is more natural and the glades are awesome. Great family mountain with reasonable ticket prices and classic Vermont lodge. Right across the street from the condo is The Long Trail Inn with a great Irish Pub. This is a stop on the Appalachian trail and has a tremendous history in itself. Killington Ski Area is just 5 miles away and there is a free shuttle. The Killington access road has variety of restaurants from pizza to sushi to fine dining. The town of Rutland is 8 miles in the other direction and has rock climbing, ice skating, bowling and plenty of shopping.
