CONDO LOCATION:
The condo is located at Marbella del Caribe one of the most prestigious beachfront condominiums in Isla Verde Avenue. Condo is on the West 'Oeste' Tower, the only tower with unobstructed beach views. We paid a premium price for the condo to be on the West Tower, but it was worth it as it makes a huge difference on the view, the privacy and the tranquility. Being on the West Tower also guarantees you absolutely no noise from the late night parties held at the rooftop of the Waterclub Hotel.
Location Amenities:
• Gated beachfront building with 24 hour security
• Lots of restaurants and nightlife options a few steps away
• One block away from the Intercontinental Hotel and the San Juan Hotel & Casino
• 24-hour Walgreens across the street
• 24-hour Charlie Car Rental across the street

• 10 minute drive from airport with absolutely no airport noise ~ $10 per cab
• To rent a car for a day there is 24 hour Charlie Car Rental across the street
* You will not want to stay anywhere else and then have to travel by car at night, even on small distances, because you end up in a condo in a small very quiet nearby street, or on the other very quiet side of Isla Verde (next to the Ritz and the Courtyard Marriott). Only the condos on Isla Verde Ave. that are near the Intercontinental and El San Juan Hotel are the ones you can truly walk to/from at any time of the day AND night, even with small children. This area of Isla Verde Ave has lots of light at night, security and tourists walking around at all times, yet our condo is very quiet, you will not hear any street noise.
DAY TRIPS ACTIVITIES:
• Stroll along El Yunque Forest numerous trails that lead you to stunning waterfalls
• Zoom through amazing lush tropical mountains in ziplines for all ages and ability levels

If you're seaching for an ideal place to enjoy Puerto Rico from you've found it! After a lot of looking we came across this listing and it appeared to fit the bill and so it did! From the moment we walked in we walked in we where impressed. The condo was so clean, the view spectacular, and we where able to start our vacation immediately. Beatrice had sent wonderful information about surrounding actvities both near and far. The building was very safe, and the security guards where very friendly and everyone in the elevator were kind and smiling. The beach is yours! Just steps away, and the pool is clean and a perfect place for calm swimming. The kitchen was well equiped and we ate most meals on the balcony. The condo was quiet and restful, and the bed was comfortable and large. Beatrice was available to help us with our foolish inablitiy to operate a remote, and we know she would of been there for any reasonable concerns too. It was easy to get everywhere from here, and even nicer to return to. We would stay here again in a heart beatRecommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.

We choose this condo because we stayed in a condo last year owned by this same owner and had such a positive experience. She is a pleasure to deal with, providing a wealth of helpful information prior to arrival and responding promptly to inquiries or concerns. The condo itself is a real gem. The building is secure and well maintained. The location is convenient to shops, restaurants, casinos and nightlife. The beach that is right outside the back door is very lovely. The convenience of having a full kitchen so that you can prepare meals at home is both cost saving and convenient if you are not one who likes to spend time sitting in restaurants for every meal. The condo is decorated tastefully, the furnishings are comfortable, and everything was immaculately clean upon our arrival. Another big plus was the indoor parking space for tenant use. We rented a car so we could get around the island easily without having to rely on taxis so it was nice when we got home in the evening to know that we didn't have to worry about where to park overnight. If you are looking for a place for a quiet and relaxing vacation, this is for you. The best of both worlds because it is an easy walk to the activity of the resorts while at the same time a haven from crowds and noise. I will definitely contact her the next time I travel to San Juan to see which of her properties is available for us to stay.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

The property owner made this a wonderful, hassle-free experience. The property was exactly as described in the listing; the condo is beautifully furnished and extremely comfortable. Every possible amenity is provided. The beach was clean and extremely safe; better still was the fact that it was never crowded, even in the middle of the summer. Once you have a great experience renting a beautiful condo, why would you ever want to stay in a hotel? I had a terrific time at this condo, and would consider returning again and again. And my security deposit was returned within a week of my stay! Thank you!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 4/4

This condo was lovely and was exactly as described. I stayed here with my teenage daughter and really appreciated the security measures (gates). This was our first visit to San Juan and the homeowner provided very useful information via email that helped make our stay fun (ie: rental car and taxi information as well as day trips to take). We spent a day in Old San Juan and another day in the rain forest. Knowing some Spanish is helpful if you are going to drive since all the road signs are in Spanish. However, most people in the area know some English so between the little bit of Spanish we knew and the English everyone else knew, we had no problem at all communicating. This was a lovely trip. San Juan is absolutely beatiful.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 4/4

My wife, 10-month old son, and I stayed at this condo for a week. After much research, we found we would save hundreds of dollars by staying at this condo rather than staying at a resort. While we did give up various resort amenities, what we did gain were stunning oceanfront views from the condo (including a big balcony, which resorts charge a premium for) and much more living space than what we'd get by staying in a cramped resort room for a week. The location is absolutely perfect, right on the desirable Isla Verde beach and accessible to Old San Juan and a reasonable drive to all other destinations in PR. Walkable from the condo are great restaurants, and right across the street is a Walgreens which we frequented for odds and ends just about every day. Upon making a reservation, Beatrice the owner emails you a detailed guide on the best places to visit and best places to eat that we relied on the entire week. We had a wonderful time in PR and definitely recommend this condo.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 5/5

OMG, forget the hotels. The condo was hands down a class (or two) above the hotels. Renting from a person is nervy by nature but for the complete package of comfort, security, location, and ammenities, this is the place. Beatrice was thourough about everything with direction (from getting settled to around town) here. Beachfront, parking included in a secure locked underground garage(not a daily fee as hotels charge), located in the middle of a ton of resturaunts (that's not including the dozen or so fast food joints if that's your preference) that you can walk in under 5 minutes to. Ten minute drive to Old San Juan (which charges a whopping $1.87 for three hours of parking). Congo Bongo across the street, Mi Casita down the block, and Lupi's down the block (which is located just outside El San Juan Hotel and The Intercontinental Hotel) are just a few fabulous resturaunts that are great food, atmosphere (not remotely over the top loud and great for people watching) and just a short walk (or you could drive if you choose, but you'd miss out on some atmosphere) from the condo. Two different grocery stores nearby and 24hr. Walgreens across the street. Not one bad thing to say and I look forward to coming back (hopefully sooner than later).Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

If you have ANY concerns about uncertainty, or on-line dishonesty, throw them out the window and rent this condo. Beatrice is the most accomodating, professional, prompt, organized, and courteous owner I have dealt with on VRBO so far. I am a detail oriented maniac when it comes to things like this and she answered all of my questions and concerns quickly and politely which put my mind at ease. The condo is perfect for a couple, but it can sleep 4. It is clean, updated, air-conditioned, secure, and right on the best beach in Isla Verde. With an awesome balcony to boot. Grab some cheap tacos and Coronitas at CocoBongo across the street (24hrs a day!!..and you can buy beer from them to take home) or dress up and hit one of the many restaurants within walking distance. I suggest Platos for the Churrasco beef with chimichurri and mofongo...Metropol for some great Cubano food...Lupi's for the fish burrito's and Grouper bites...Beats Sports bar to catch all the games...and many more. If you go to Old San Juan, go at night to avoid the daytime heat. Drinks at El San Juan Hotel are expensive, but the atmosphere and ambiance are old world and incredible. Daytime drinks at the Intercontinental are a 3 minute walk down the beach and I suggest anything with fresh Guava (ask for prices BEFORE you order!). The supermarket is close by, Walgreens is across the street, taxis are always available, and american fare is all over if that is what you want. The pool at the complex is great, there are cookout spots, and a childrens play area too...and you can rent beach chairs ($4) and umbrellas ($10) right on the beach in front of the complex. All in all, it had everything we needed for the best value, on the best beach, with an incredible view. If I had 1 complaint (and I have no problem complaining when need be) it would be that the mattress in the bedroom was to stiff for our liking. And, with saying that, I would still go back tomorrow if I had the opporotunity. VRBO needs more owners like Beatrice who understands that people have many trepidations when it comes to foreign travel...she is greatRecommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you very much for your nice and detailed review. I am sure it will be very useful to our future guests. I am happy to hear that you enjoyed your rental at our condo so much. I work very hard to have everything nice for my guests, so it feels great when I get compliments like yours. I am also sorry to learn that you found our mattress too firm, but am glad to hear that this was not too much of an issue and would not prevent you from renting our place again. Of course, mattresses are a very personal taste and some people prefer them soft while others prefer them firm (and everything in between). This mattress was purchased taking into consideration people with back problems (which I suffer from) and it is less than a year old. Nonetheless, I will purchase some extra padding for it and will even replace it if other guests feel the same way. I certainly take all reviews and comments very seriously so definitely appreciate that you took the time to write yours. I hope to have you visit again soon! Warm Regards, Beatrice

Beatrice, we LOVED the condominium. It was extremely clean, beautifully decorated, very quiet, and had an excellent view. This place is centrally located to everything. We took your advice on a couple of your restaurant recommendations and they were great. We will definitely be staying here again. My husband and I just returned from 7 wonderful days at this villa. Folks, you cannot go wrong. This is a high class place with beautiful furniture, top of the line appliances, washer & dryer included, and the best view of the ocean in Isle Verde. Isle Verde is the place to be. It is withing walking distance of the Pueblo grocery store, great restaurants, some local RP restaurants and a wonderful and cheap Mexican Restaurant called Cocco Bongo right across the street. There is also a Pizza City directly across from the villa, with New York style pizze. They were huge. There is also a RO restaurant two blocks away named Ruben. Excellent food and very inexpensive. I had goat which was outstanding. You can catch the T-5 bus right outside the villa and ride to Old San Juan for .70 cents. Well worth the 45 monute ride, as all sorts of working people ride the AC bus.You really get to see parts of Puerco Rico that you wouled othewise miss. Also took the bus A-5 to the Rio Piedras Market and loved it. It is a large building housing some 35-40 vendors selling meat, pork, vegtables, fruit and herbs. There must be over 50 shops outside the market which are very unusual. This is must go see trip. I would recommend a day trip to Pinones and Luquillo, tons of kisok's selling local RP food and beautiful beaches. We were going to the mountains but due to lots of rain, we did not do this trip. Did I mention the view from the villa? You can see the cruise ships come in at 4:00 AM and see them leave. You can watch the jets taking off and landing at San Juan airport and yet there is no noise inside the villa. It is just a great place. If you have any questions, please e-mail me shertate@aol.com and I will try to answer any questions you may have. This is just a terrific place. You will not be sorry. Our experience at this condo was great and we definitely recommend it. The condo is newly renovated, extremely secure and the view from the unit is ...fantastic. There is a long and lovely beach right in front of it and plenty of restaurants and shops one can walk to day and night. Beatrice is very professional, helpful and easy to deal with. She made a number of recommendations with which we were pleased. Our vacation could not have been better.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.

Why the Owner Chose Isla Verde:
We purchased this property because of its fantastic view and great location in Isla Verde Ave, nearby the best hotels. The property was in a very bad shape when we purchased it and we had to remodeled it completely. We completed the full remodeling on January 2011.
