Key Colony is the PERFECT Keys location…..in the middle of everything but away from it all. You drive across the causeway into a different world. You can walk to the coffee shop for breakfast, Sparky’s for happy hour or Key Colony Inn for a great dinner. The condo complex is small enough to offer a feeling of intimacy with your surroundings, but large enough to offer all of the amenities that you expect for your Keys’ Oceanside vacation. I was impressed with how beautifully maintained and tropical it felt. My husband and I have stayed in several areas of the Keys and by far this is our favorite location and the best stocked rental we have ever had. Shirley has thought of EVERYTHING. Our most favorite moments were dinners we prepared at the grill down by the water. We always eat late, so it was dark and we would sit at the picnic table under the Tiki hut with the pretty lights on and listen to the Red Sox games on the IPhone (my husband’s idea) while we ate. We always had it to ourselves, which allowed the IPhone thing! Oh, and one important thing on our vacations…sleep. The bed was comfortable for my bad back and you can’t hear your neighbors, so we slept like babies. And finally, Shirley and the onsite manger were delightful to work with. You won’t be disappointed.

We rented the condo from Oct. 20 to 27. From the time we arrived to the time we left, we were extremely happy. The condo was beautiful, clean and well maintained. Everything we needed was available. The view and beach area were better than expected. We will definitely rent there again. Mehgan was great to work with and made our visit enjoyable.

Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The Condo was everything it claimed to be (everything in working order, clean, grounds were very nicely maintaned). Owner & property manager were very informative, helpful, and easy to work with. Very quiet (off-season visit) with great beach & pool. Condo was well equipped with everything in working order and very comfortable. Several good restaurants within walking distance - especially liked Sparky's on the Causway. Great daily appetizer specials (25 cent Wings & peel-n-eat shrimp) and drink specials. Lots of TVs for the football fans. Don't miss the Sea Turtle Rescue & Hospital facility. Wooden Spoon for a great locals breakfast and the Brass Monkey to mingle with locals over a drink. Live music as well. The Cracked Conch supplied my first taste of Conch - very good. Sunset on the old 7-mile bridge is fabulous followed up with a cocktail at The Sunset Grill. We're Moose Lodge members, so managed to go to 3 of the 5 Lodges in The Keys. Once again, friendly locals and good food & drink for members. I loved our visit and will, hopefully, come again!

A little taste of paradise!!

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon. We absolutely loved it! THe first day we went down to the beach, I said to my hubby, this is my idea of paradise!! The condo was stocked with everything you could possible need. It was right on the beach. Most of the time we had the beach and the pool to ourselves. The beach was beautiful, the water very warm, most days we spent at least half the day at the beach! Key Colony Beach is perfect if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of busy Key West, but close enough to drive there and enjoy the sights! Some of the restaurants we enjoyed were Cabanna Breezes, Leighan's Coffee house (the best French toast I've ever had!). Sparkys Landing was great too, saw dolphins while we had our lunch! Sunset Bar and Grill was a fun place, saw tons of tarpons off the pier!!! If you do go to Key West, Sloppy Joe's is a fun place, and Mallory's Square is a must for entertainment and a beautiful sunset. I thoroughly recommend this condo.. Shirley was very sweet and helpful, as was Meghan there on site. We would love to come back again!!

Fantastic Condo!

Fabulous place to stay! Condo has an open layout kitchen with everything you could want and more! It also had beach stuff, coolers, even a fishing pole! Furniture was nice and comfy and the whole place was well decorated. The balcony off the master bedroom had a side view of the ocean and from the living room a bistro set allowed you to have coffee and watch the swimming pool activity. Being on the beach was so much fun. In July the water temperature was perfect to swim and snorkel. We rented a kayak for the week and saw five manatees from our kayak. We watched them for an hour, they even swam under our kayak a couple of times! My fifteen year old son is still talking about what a great time he had. Plus full deposit was returned within a week. We will be back!

Wonderful! Wonder - full week

When I saw the postcard perfect pictures of Sea Isle and the condo, I said awesome. When we arrived and saw the complex, grounds, pool and condo exceeded the photos, we went ahhhhhh. This was a girls week for myself, a friend and her 7 yr old granddaughter. Everything about the condo was terrific - plenty of space, well appointed kitchen, a closet full of beach and pool toys and very comfortable beds. the grounds are immaculately maintained and just made us feel pampered and a part of paradise. We enjoyed hanging out, swimming from dawn to dusk, playing card games (thanks for these), and laughing. Only thing we didn't use were the tvs! A whole week and not one electronic devise was used - although wi-fi was available. We enjoyed excellent dinners at Cabana Breezes, Sunset Grill, lunches atThe Wreck (right next to Dolphin Research Center) and breakfast at the Stuffed Pig. Daffy Doug's is a 7 yr olds dream come true for souvenir purchasing. She was able to something for EVERYONE and really enjoyed looking at the wide assortment. My friends were able to swim with dolphins, paint with a dolphin and play in the splash ground at DRC. What a wonderful place! Didn't meet one employee who didn't have enthusiasm for their job. We found this also to be true at the Turtle Hospital. The owner was wonderful to work with, very personable, prompt and accommodating. We are already starting to talk about a similar trip next year and hoping to be able to stay here again. This is a wonderful property and area and I would heartily recommend it!

Thank you for letting us stay at your beautiful condo! The pictures of your condo were right on. The condo was ungraded and beautiful. It was very comforftable and clean. I especially liked the recliner! The beach was beautiful and the gounds were lush and well maintained. We enjoyed snorkling, shell collecting, and relaxing in paradise! A great central location in the Keys to enjoy Key Largo to Key West!! Thank you for your hospitality.

This condo was exactly as described and pictured on VRBO. It is clean, well furnished, and a great location. The owner and the condo association reps were very nice to work with. It is an easy hour to Key West, the Dolphin Research Center is within 5-6 miles of the place and wonderful to visit, and try a dolphin dip. The premises are absolutely beautiful. My grandson and I had a wonderful time here - and I hope to come back with some girlfriends in the future.

We stayed 7/9/11 to 7/16/11 and it was simply perfect! My husband, sons (ages 8 and 13) and myself all thought this property, area and location was ideal for the Florida Keys. My 8 year old loved swimming in the pool, my 13 year old and my husband enjoyed snorkeling at the beach...I enjoyed both. Shirley was responsive and even checked on us after I locked myself out after enjoying the sunrise on the beach while my family was still sleeping. Must dos in the area: Bahia State Park (we loved it. you can rent any/all beach equipment at the shop there), Driftwood Pizza (they deliver and it is fantastic), Sparkys Landing (great bar/grill...very casual), Leigh Annes Coffee House (DELICIOUS pastries, food, coffee...whole package), Turtle Hospital (we all learned something...very interesting), Seven Mile Bridge Sunset (beautiful), Key West (we really enjoyed Hemingway House and the drive to Key West), Snorkeling. Bottom line: Great, family friendly property, EASY and supportive owners, 100% recommend!

What a great time we had in Key Colony Beach!! It was our first visit to the keys and we fell in love with the area. The condo was great and the pictures were accurate. The owners were so friendly and helpful with any questions we had about the area. The condo location is excellent. 30 minutes to Islamorda, 20 minutes to Bahia Honda State Park and about an hour to Key West. We are looking forward to coming back again next year or maybe even sooner!! We will definitely recommend #8 Sea Isle!

A geat Christmas vacation

My family of 5 stayed her for a week during Dec., 2010. What a terrific place and location. It was quiet and we felt like we were secluded from all of the other activity during the Holiday season. However, if we needed anything from town it was close by, including fishing and snorkeling boats, groceries, restaurants, shopping, attractions, etc. We pretty much had the beach, which was beautiful and groomed daily, to ourselves. We really enjoyed sitting on the beach in the mornings with a cup of coffee, looking for the dolphins to make their rounds. The two bathrooms were especially helpful with my 3 daughters and wife. Any item that we needed for our stay was found in the unit, which made it feel like home. The unit was very nicely decorated and furnished and especially comfortable and roomy. The daughters spent a lot of time on the beach and in the water, which had a soft, sandy bottom. The grounds of the complex were well-maintained and clean. We also used one of the big barbecue grills, which was located under the palapa canopy near the beach. This is exactly what we were looking for to get away from the snow and cold of Colorado for a week or so. The fact that the beach and the ocean were just a few steps away made this an idyllic vacation for us. I highly recommend this unit for a getaway. We definitely will make a return trip!

This is hands down the best place to vacation! All the amenities of home, and more! The website's description is very modest, as this is truly paradise. The condo itself is beautifully decorated and well kept. The only bad part is walking out the door and deciding whether to go right to the beach or left to the pool. The owners are wonderful people to deal with and can offer lots of great suggestions for dining, shopping, and entertainment. We have vacationed here numerous times and love returning to see what's new each year!

Our family of four thoroughly enjoyed a stay at Key Colony Beach several years ago. The condo location in Marathon is ideal -- close enough for us to take day trips up and down the Keys. And, in Marathon itself, it is close to good waterfront restaurants and both fishing and snorkeling/scuba charters. One might not, however, want to leave home with its own private beachfront, tiki hut, and pool. We enjoyed the water and sun, and even some snorkeling off the beach. We found the condo itself to be wonderful, impeccably clean, with attractive and ample room and amenities for a comfortable family stay. It is a great home away from home.

Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.
