The Perfect Montreal Apartment!

My husband and I rented this apartment for a week in August 2011. We'd never been to Montreal before and didn't realize what a perfect location we'd chosen until we got there! It's right at the quiet and peaceful end of a busy, charming street filled with restaurants, art galleries, etc. The apartment itself was spacious, comfortable, well-equipped, and, if anything, even more beautiful than the photos, with a lovely wall of exposed stone, beams in the ceilings, and tall windows looking out onto flower boxes, all of which make it feel very European. Doug took care of everything, answering all my questions promptly by email and meeting us at the apartment even after a late-night arrival due to a delayed flight. The apartment was stocked with all the basic necessities, including very reliable wi-fi, which was important to us. I travel a lot and always try to rent an apartment rather than stay in a hotel. We've always had good luck with the places we've rented, but this was really one of the best because it worked on every level--location, spaciousness, quality, and the general ease of arranging the whole thing. Highly recommended.

This place is location..location. You are in the heart of Montreal just outside the door. The owner has taken excellent care of the place. Everything you need is there to take up living. Kitchen well stocked and clean..vary clean. Sun porch is a delight with coffee and the morning news with sun shinny in. Stayed for 4 nights and hated to leave. The owner was quiet the man. We felt like a local. My son is going soon and we will insist he stay here. One block from the river and 2 blocks from the square. We felt like we were back in Paris with the cobble stones just outside the door. Just got today on 9-25-10. Learned a lot and thanks to VRBO for making it possible.

What a fantastic apartment! Fully equipped, gorgeous decor, a beautiful sunroom with a full glass wall overlooking a courtyard and gardens, front room overlooks rue St. Paul, just wonderful. And the location simply can't be beat! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will return. We highly recommend it to anyone wanting a superb location and excellent amenities.

We felt like we were in Paris! (Except the Canadian dollar is a better deal than the Euro...) A very pretty apartment with ancient stone walls, lovely furniture, balconies overlooking the sreet AND the back garden. We had friends from Florida visiting Montreal at the same time and had them over to "our" apartment for a glass of wine before heading to a nearby restaurant for dinner. They were staying in a hotel, and, boy, were they jealous! (Oh, and it has THE most comfortable bed we've slept in away from home in YEARS.) Of course, being steps away from so many terrific restaurants and a short block from the waterfront didn't hurt. Really, we just had a great time in Montreal and your apartment made us feel like we were locals. Very highly recommended. We can't wait to come back - the people there were really friendly, too.

A delightful apartment in the perfect location. We enjoyed our week in Montreal. Our first visit, we will return. The apartment has easy access to all activities, shopping, bistros, the "Metro". The apartment is clean and quaint, very comfortable.
