Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Year Purchased: 1993
Nathan and I came to the mountains first on a part time basis and at that time built our home on this seven acre piece of property. We started to rent out the cabin which was a family house that we were able to manage since about 1993. We started slow but soon built a group of rentors, many of whom return. Then about four years ago, Nathan built another house on the property and we are renting it out as well. This area is laid back and beautiful,we have a creek bubbling down the bank, next to the guest houses. We have enjoyed our lives here on our mini-farm, and want to have others enjoy it too.
Why the Owner Chose Fines Creek
The property was in the family and we wanted to be here in Fines Creek! It is a lovely area and really not far to most people who live in the East!
The Unique Benefits of this Cabin
There is one traffic light between here and Waynesville! Around every bend in the road, whether it is summer or winter, there is something special to be seen. This is rural America at its best. You can lay back and relax, bring a pet along.

Hi, We have a comment regarding our stay at fines creek..Tony,Barb, A.J. and Ryan-Michigan, Its actually Illinois-this cabin was truly wonderful! The most peaceful serene spot we have ever been to.If you buy enough food for your stay, you don't really need to leave the cabin at all. It has everything you need to hole up and do nothing but soak up the beautiful scenery.

Reply Reply all Forward | Full view Thank you.? From: Sent: Mon 7/20/09 9:30 AM To: finescreek We wanted to tell you how much we needed and enjoyed our stay with you. We had not had a vacation since 1988. We do volunteer medical clinics in Central and South America. All of our vacations have been spent doing those. This past year I was diagnosed with M.S. My wife and I decided it was time for us to take time for each other. Since I was medically retired I returned to my painting and photography. So now you know why your cabin was extra special for me. Nathan, thank you so much for sharing your "gallery" with me. The rest, relaxation, and scenery was great. We found the cabin well stocked and found everything we needed. Thank you so very much for being such great hosts. We hope to be able to return. I have been a guest twice in the last few months. Once with a friend and again with my sisters. Both times were wonderful. If you want peace, rest, and a relaxing break from the real world, this is the place. We stayed in the Fines Creek Cabin. It is rustic, but, has everything you need for a memorable stay. Whether you cook indoors or out, everything is there. The beds are unbelievably comfortable and the view from the front porch is great. Bring a book, your jammies, a toothbrush, and enjoy. You will be glad you did. If serenity is what you are looking for, you just found it.

Stayed in early summer of 2007, and was quite pleased. First impression was that it was too close to other dwellings and not "private" but soon changed our minds once settled in - the cabin is situated such that you are not aware of the other dwellings, and it does feel very private. Was very quiet and felt secluded, as if we were alone on the mountain, but with the added security that the owner was close by, should you need or want anything. Has lots of rustic charm, fantastic view, well equipted, comfortable, easy access, and a fantastic porch. This is not a super luxury cabin, more on the rustic side, but has everyting needed for a very comfortable stay, which is exactly what we wanted, a true taste of the mountains. Owner is a fantastic person, available if you need anything, but not at all intrusive, and very interesting to chat with. Love her! We're looking forward to staying there again. Beautiful.
