5 of us stayed there for first week of rifle hunting season and were more than happy with the accomodations. Jack & Carol truly do make you feel like family while there, you really need for nothing.Recommended for: Sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers, people with disabilities.

Rented this cabin for a week in July 2011. Great central location for all Eastern UP attractions. Cabin is very quite and peaceful, hated to go home. Didn't see much wild life, it was either too hot or my dog scared them away. Spent several hours kayak/canoeing around Trout Lake & Frenchman Lake, had a great time. Thanks Jack & Carol for your wonderful hospitality!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, age 55+, adventure seekers.
Owner response: Thanks for the review. We are glad you had a good time. Sorry about not seeing any wildlife. Our past renters seen bear cubs, deer, fox, and of course lots of mosquitos. I am glad you had nice weather also. The Creeds

My buddy and I bow hunted up there the week of 10-23-10. Had a great time, seen a lot of deer and the cabin was very comfortable and very quiet. Looking forward to going back next year. Thanks Jack and Carol.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Owner info
Year Purchased: 1994
About the owner: Jack & I are both retired, however he is a Contractor and still does some building and remodeling.
Why the Owner Chose Trout Lake:
We are avid snowmobilers and hes loves to hunt.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
Snowmobiling in the UP is awesone. We actually snowmobile and stay overnight sometimes. It is so peaceful there and close to a lot of interesting things, such as Oswald Bear Ranch in Newberry. I took my grandkids and they got feed and pet the bear cubs. Too cool.
