Rosemary Beach Quality for Panama City Prices!!

What a phenomenal place to stay! We spent an absolutely heavenly week here with four other couples in March. In past years we have stayed at Rosemary Beach and Seaside. This place was a fraction of the price but every bit as nice. In fact, views of sunrise and sunset over the Gulf from the big private deck are even nicer than the one we had in the pricier places. We are making plans to return next year! The house is huge with two living areas. There was more than enough room for us to all hangout together or find our own quiet space. We were happily surprised to find the house completely renovated and upgraded. There was fresh paint in very soothing spa tones and new furniture in the main living room. I noticed some of the reviews mentioned the kitchen, but when we got there it was very well-stocked with new pots, pans, dishes and utensils -- everything we needed. The bedding looked new. The location is ideal. It's a close to restaurants and activities but it's on a residential street so it's very quiet. Where other parts of the beach were crowded, we had a lot of space in front of the house. And what a beautiful beach it was. We brought our bicycles and really enjoyed riding our bikes into St. Andrews State Park which is just down the road. We saw lots of deer and a rookery for egrets. It was a highlight of our trip.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

The pictures do not do this place justice! This house has a lot of room and is great for a family get together at an affordable price. The house is well located and far enough away from the big condos that you have your own private beach. We spent many nights enjoying the large deck at sunset! A large kitchen, dining room, and living room are joined together. There are two bedrooms, two baths on the first floor (the master bedroom has the only attached bath). Upstairs, there is a nice gameroom with a balcony (not shown in the pictures). Three bedroom and two baths are upstairs. The property contains everything you need from bath towels to kitchen utensils. The washer and dryer are a big plus and allow you to take fewer clothes. They even have board games for the family, and beach chairs and kids toys for the beach. The only reason I gave this property four stars is because I reported some minor issues with the house (such as the ice maker not working, doorbell randomly rang) to the property manager and never heard back from them during our trip. In addition, a few upgrades would be welcomed, such as updated bedding and linens. One of the upstairs mattresses was in disrepair and some of the pillows had stains on them. Also, a TV upgrade in the living room would be a welcomed addition. Overall, none of these issues detracted from our vacation and we would definitely stay here again. Tips: Do yourself a favor and take advantage of the Dollar General located across Thomas Drive it will save you a lot of money and time for the little things and they sell some beer products. Schooners is a wonderful bar/restaurant open to the ocean, located about a half mile southeast of the property on Gulf Drive, they have live bands and shoot a cannon off at sunset every night. I also recommend using the Publix or Winn-Dixie on Thomas Drive rather than the Wal-Mart, they are more expensive but Wal-Mart had nothing on the shelves.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.
Owner response: Our 2013 guests will be very pleased to hear about the upgrades made during the off season. We remodeled the back deck and replaced all the railings, horizontal deck boards and stairs. The deck is now so much nicer. We replaced the refrigerator, dishwasher, and garbage disposal and many of the kitchen items. We also replaced the first floor living room furniture, master bedroom mattress, three of the TVs, including the main living room TV, all linens, and comforters in 3 of the 5 bedrooms. We also repainted all the interior walls. Gulf Breeze now has a very fresh feel and we look forward to welcoming our guests this spring and summer!

We loved "Gulf Breeze"! Can't wait to go back. We stayed there with 4 familys and had a great time. The house is very spacious with plenty of room for everyone. Really liked the second living room upstairs for the kids to play their video games. The location is excellent. Walked to Schooners for dinner and enjoyed the nightly cannon blast at sunset. I would recommend this house to anyone who wants to be right on the beach with alot of space. The kids had a blast and we found tons of great shells! Hope to see you again next year.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers.

We live in Panama City Beach and when family and friends visit, Gulf Breeze is our choice. The house is roomy and well equipped. The "Home Away" manager, Tom Ledman, is extremely responsive if something is not perfect. Thank you for another great vacation!!!!!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

The perfect place to stay in Panama City for the price. Close to everything we needed or wanted to do. Scampys and Pier 77, the food was excellent along with the service. Golf was close enough for the guys. The left sink faucet in the master bath leaked which we reported but was not taken care of. Other than that, everything was as expected.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children.

The house was everything we had hoped for. Having rented homes previously in Florida I would have to say that this one was one of the best. My only comment would be to update the bedding and bath linen, plus the kitchen needs some decent cooking utensils. One other thought would be to fix the deck. A lot of nails popping up and splinters. Other than that, it was a great place.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

The house is much bigger than the pictures show. The view from the deck is perfect. 'Gulf Breeze' is in between 2 high rise condos/hotels, but the condos are far enough away that traffic doesnt over flow in front of the beach. The kitchen is very spacious and comes with all the utensils and cookware needed to make great meals. From the beach looking at the row of houses down the beach, 'Gulf Breeze' is the most impressive. The Hombre is a great golf course and only 10 minutes away. I recommend the SummerTime 2 boat if you want to fish. We caught tons of Snapper, Grouper, and 2 sharks: 9' and 10' long. Very fun. The captains name is Howard. Co-Captain- Shelly The renting agency is very responsive and accurate about the listing. Great job, very memorable trip.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.
