You don't have to leave Sapphire Beach Resort, everything you need for a memorable vacation is right on-site. For those with an exploring nature, St. Thomas has a wide variety of attractions, including historic buildings, Blackbeard's castle, underwater submarine tour, boat tours, sky ride, marine park, and ecotours to name just a few of the spectacular sights to see and activities to enjoy. Best of all, the two-story Penthouse sleeps six! Whether you are a family or a group of friends, you can all stay together without crowding one another. One King bed and two Queen sofa beds ensure everyone sleeps in comfort. There is a bathroom on each floor. One bathroom has a tub, and one has a shower and two sinks so there will be plenty of room for all. The Master Suite with its large balcony is a luxurious space for a private honeymoon or anniversary celebration.

Your Penthouse Villa features a bright and open floor plan. The main level offers a newly updated full-tiled bathroom and newly updated kitchen/dining room area, with new kitchen appliances. The furniture is Caribbean in style with a comfortable, Queen-size sleeper sofa and satellite TV. Central air-conditioned rooms, ceiling fans, adjustable temperature settings and candles make this a perfect place for lounging and relaxing. A wall of glass opens on to an expansive patio balcony with lounge chairs and a magnificent, down-island view. A mahogany staircase leads to the second floor's master bedroom. This individual suite has vaulted ceilings and a King-size bed. You will enjoy the convenience of a separate, fully-tiled bathroom and a living room area with a Queen-size sofa that opens onto a second, large, very private, ocean-view terrace.

From your two balconies overlooking the beach you have a sensational view of the crystal-clear water of the Caribbean and the surrounding islands, including the national park of Saint John. The trade winds that surround the island at all times keep the temperature perfect – 85-90°F during the day and 70°F in the evenings.

There is a full-service restaurant easily walkable from the beach. This year, I discovered ParadiseSTT at Sapphire Beach and booked our stay directly with the owner. The accommodations had everything we could have asked for and it was great to have such personal service during my stay. We just returned and have already booked the same unit for next year!

We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary during the week and there was little else that we could have desired but a location and accommodations that were just as described. We benefited from the time of year as there was nothing even approaching a "crowd", and other guests were quite considerate and friendly. Sapphire Beach is as lovely as ever. Calm water, gentle drop-off, tame reef right off the beach, more challenging reef on the points, shade on the shoreline, and a spectacular view of distant islands "flung like jewels upon the sea". Just a stones thrown from water's edge we saw sea turtles, green eels, many schools of fish & squid, and even a harmless nurse shark (of course the more "exotic" sea life was closer to the point). Onshore our lounges chairs fit perfectly under the shade of palm trees, and the view is simply mesmerizing, luring us to rent a sailboat to make a quick visit to other, even more secluded shores. The condo was just as billed, clean, well equipped, well air conditioned, and quiet, with respectful neighbors. Best of all the porch is measly 40-50 feet to water's edge. Your "Island Tips" were very helpful and we agree with all of your restaurant recommendations.   • Renee, We got back to Arkansas Tuesday night to be greeted by freezing weather after leaving paradise with 90 degree weather. What a change. We really enjoyed your accommodations, especially the villa. It has fantastic views. In the morning we would sit on the balcony and watch the sunrise, the beautiful ocean with the fishing boats and yachts going out for the day, in the distance the island of St. Johns and the ferry boats moving people between the islands and the beach below with the blue waters and the inviting swimming pool and people getting up early to claim their favorite lounge chair on the beach. The young children run around the beach and the Villa's are wonderfully set right on the beach for easy access. It has become our annual family getaway.
