Chrisanns Beach Resort is located on the main North Coast Highway from Ocho Rios to Port Maria and is just a 7 minutes drive from the town of Ocho Rios. It boasts a lovely pool, gazebo overlooking the private beach and landscaped gardens with shade trees. The resort consists of 32 apartments, is gated and has 24-hour security.
The apartment, Villa Criss, has a fully equipped kitchen including a four-burner stove with oven and a frost-free refrigerator. All major small appliances are also included – microwave oven , toaster oven, two slice toaster, coffee maker, blender, juicer, electric kettle, cutlery, pots and pans and other utensils.
It sleeps two persons on a king-size bed or two twin beds, has air conditioning and ceiling fan, hot and cold water, cable TV with premium movie channels, free wireless internet service, adequate closet and drawer space, iron and board and safety deposit box. An additional guest can be accommodated at an extra charge.
Daily housekeeping service is provided at no additional cost; the housekeeper is available to cook for guests, if required, for a charge (decided between the guest and her). Sliding glass doors allow guests easy access from the apartment to and from the pool and the beach.
Villa Criss is in close proximity to many attractions - Dunn's River Falls, Mystic Mountain, Dolphin Cove, Rio Nuevo Battleground, Coyaba River Garden and majestic Mahoe Falls, and Harmony Hall Art Galley.
Also in close proximity, is the birthplace of Bob Marley: Nine Miles – there, guests can visit his mausoleum and nearby, guests can visit Reggae Xplosion, a multimedia reggae museum located in Ocho Rios' famous Island Village Plaza.
Whilst our private beach is great for snorkeling and is very relaxing, guests can also visit the two nearby beaches - for extensive swimming, meeting locals or for just relaxing – the James Bond Beach and Reggae Beach.
Guests could also go tubing on the White River about 15 minutes away from the resort.
Our friendly, experienced and professional front office staff will be happy to assist guests with planning excursions and to provide car rental information. Fine restaurants and a general merchandise supermarket are nearby – just 3 minutes away.
Across the road is the Tower Isle Jerk Center where guests can get great tasting Jamaican cuisine at reasonable prices in a clean and friendly atmosphere and meet local people and embrace the Jamaican culture.

My husband and I stayed at Chrisanns during Summer 2012 along with our two teenage daughters and experienced an unforgettable holiday. Chrisanns is conveniently located on the 'Northcoast' and easily reached by car from anywhere in Jamaica The accommodation was a self contained studio apartment with separate kitchenette and bathroom. The kitchen was well stocked with all the appliances one would expect to have at home. Stocking up the kitchen was very easy as there is a supermarket just across the road and if you were too lazy to cook there was also a lovely restaurant and cocktail bar directly opposite the complex. The room was large enough to hold a King size bed plus two single beds. It is situated on the ground floor and has a convenient sliding door which opens onto a very ‘inviting’ glistening communal pool. The pool was well maintained and was always clean. On leaving the Apartment you can walk along the pool deck and then down a few stairs and arrive at the beach front within one minute. The beach itself is an enclosed Bay which makes swimmers, bathers and water sports a lot safer as you were not fully exposed to the open sea! In fact we felt safe enough to ‘chill out’ in the apartment a lot while our girls enjoyed both the pool and beach by themselves at times.. The Baileys were excellent hosts and were very accommodating in every way, making our stay very enjoyable as it had a sense of home away from home. The owner even telephoned when we arrived to ensure that we had everything we needed. The staff was very helpful, welcoming and friendly... ........can’t wait to get back there again!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, sightseeing, pet owners, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, people with disabilities, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway.

I stayed here in August 2011 for nine days. I had a nice studio apartment.I don't remember the room number but the owner's name is Mrs. Bailey. The room was very accomodating for one person and enough room for a couple. It was fully furnished with all appliances in the kitchen (full size fridge, electric coffee pot, microwave, blender, stove). The staff was wonderful. I was there alone and could not have asked for a better place to be. My taxi driver took me anywhere I wanted to go and stayed with me while exchanging my money, buying a cell phone, etc. He took to a great restaurant every day and the food was so tasty and a great price. My room was pool side and only steps away from the beach. It is a small private beach area but the view is beautiful. I felt safe and secure at all times here. I love Jamaica and have stayed at the all-inclusive in Trelawney, I have stayed in Negril at a beachfront place, and I have stayed at a not so good place in Kingston but Chris Anns has left me yearning to go back and spend another vacation of nothing but peace and relaxation!Did you find this review helpful? "Staying at Villa Criss was a easy transition from the time we booked. The location is perfect as it's close enough to main tourist attractions of Ocho Rios and situated within walking distance to stores/food establishments and the atmosphere exactly what we expected. The place is spacious, clean and a home charm feeling. The owner was professional and assisted us in all ways possible to ensure that the booking and payment was a stress free event. We hope to rent this pool/ocean side villa in April 2013 and look forward to dealing with Muriel again." Sure, It was amazing the scenery is beautiful, restaurant Glenns was tasty and convenient, ( I even got a free slice of cake for my birthday) we even rented a nice car from Exodus Car Rental which was right beside Glenns. The staff was very helpful and our room was always clean. I am recommending Villa Criss to my relatives in the States. Villa Criss- Safe, Secure, Serene and Satisfying at a Sensational Price. I enjoyed my getaway at Chrisanns Beach Resort, for the first birthday I celebrated with my husband. Besides feeling celebrated, it was like a second honeymoon to both of us - private, relaxing, affordable. We thoroughly enjoyed the private beach, and the pool was awesome. The staff was courteous but not intrusive. They were also extremely helpful. The location of the resort we also found to be ideal. We had no problems locating it. We would most definitely recommend this spot for a quiet, romantic getaway for couples.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+.

My recent stay at Villa Criss at the Chrisanns Beach Resort was enchanting. It is a lovely apartment with all the necessary amenities. The apartment led right out to the pool and that was very convenient for us. The whole place was quiet and relaxing - the pool was never crowded, the beach was fantastic and other guests were friendly. The sunsets from the beach were breathtaking. The office staff were knowledgeable and patient and that really enhanced our stay. We were very comfortable and without hesitation would definitely choose Villa Criss again for our vacation. I recommend Villa Criss for vacationers who are looking for a relaxing, comfortable and secure location.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Travellers of all ages are welcome at Villa Criss - 55 and over and also 55 and under. It is a very relaxing atmosphere - not activities and water sports, etc. But if guests need those activities, they are available nearby.

Why the Owner Chose Ocho Rios:
We have been taking vacations at Chrisanns since 1991 and kept looking out for the opportunity to invest in one. We have ALWAYS had a wonderful vacation experience at the resort. The resort is easily accessible, never crowded and is clean and well maintained. It is close to many attractions - including Dunns River Falls, Mystic Mountain and Dolphin Cove.
Villa Criss (Apartment #3) is on the ground floor and conveniently opens out to the swimming pool. The atmosphere in this villa makes us feel at home. We like to be close to nature and this is the feeling we get at Villa Criss.
The Unique Benefits at this Villa:
While at Chrisanns there are so many things to do - across the road and up the hill we go for a cool early morning nature walk and hear all the sounds of birds, the wind and waves from the nearby sea. Upon our return to the villa we go for a swim in the private beach, If we feel for a nice Jamaican breakfast of ackee and saltfish we go across the road to Glenn's Restaurant which never disappoints us or some mornings we prepare our own meals in the fully equipped kitchen at Villa Criss (Apartment #3).
