  This house was perfect for my family of 4 including two young sons. My inlaws and older brother joined us as well and it was just the right size for us. Plenty of beaches to visit with easy access, deer all over the place, a few reclusive alligators basking in the sun, and surprisingly good fishing! I've been to many beach houses all over the SC coast and this one strikes a perfect balance between location, view, and price. It's a short scenic golf cart ride to any of the beach accesses, the view from the decks are great and useful for telling what the tide is doing, and the price is perfect. Why pay up to $2K more for a house on the beach? It's just not cost effective. The house really has an amazing view from the top deck during high tide. You can watch the big waves rolling into skull inlet. It would be quite a show during a storm for sure. Three pools inluding one for kids is literally 20 steps from the house. Very convenient when someone else has the golf cart out and you want to give the kids something to do. My three-year-old had a great time there. If only the pool bar was open when we were there in Sept it would have been better for me ;-). If there's a fisherman in the family, he'd be surprised by what Fripp has to offer. Mullet teemed in skull inlet during low tide and I used them to catch some nice sized sharks and even hooked a big tarpon. I didn't haul him in but I did get some video of him jumping. A great memory! There's even a pier on the island. I fished there a few times, but the inlet was the better place. Fripp by far is the best place I've been to on the SC coast. For a weeklong vacation, there's plenty to see and do for everyone. Donna was great during our correspondence and gave me the impression that she was available for anything we needed. The house was fully stocked and ready for our arrival just like a four-star hotel. When we arrived, my three-year-old son said "I want to go home!" But when we were about to leave at the end of the week, he said "I want to stay here!". I think we'll be returning again real soon.

  For the 2 year in a row we planned our family vacation to Fripp Island and I can promise you there will be a 3rd. the Misty Breeze offered us all our needs for a week of relaxation! The location is ideal as you are footsteps away from the pool and nature center and can enjoy ocean views and sunsets form the porches. The beach and golf course are a short golf cart ride away. We cooked in or grill several nights but, also loved the Boat house for sunset dinners or a trip of the island to enjoy many restaurants. Donna offers great properties!

  Our stay at Misty Breeze was perfect! It was our first family vacation - baby and dog. Everyone loved it! It's at a perfect location - walking distance to the Cabana Club, with kiddie pools. Short golf cart ride to the beach. The house had everything we needed - fully stocked and very comfortable. Both decks had awesome fews and a great breeze. Very relaxing, watching the tide come in and enjoying the scenery. Donna was great to work with, very prompt on any questions we had. Look forward to future stays at this location!

  The Misty Breeze is a beautiful home with fantastic views. We had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. The owner is very helpful providing info about the local area to make your stay even more enjoyable. The bedroom layout is great for a bigger family. Fripp Island is absolutely gorgeous!

  My husband and I spent two weeks at the Misty Breeze from September 17 through October 1, 2012. The house had everything we needed for a great vacation. It is located near the Cabana pools and has a great view of the Skull inlet, Prichards Island, and the ocean. There are two great porchs, one screened, where we spent many hours enjoying the view and reading. The house has a gas grill that we cooked many meals on. It was also great to be able to bring our four legged child with us. I think she enjoyed the vacation as much as we did. Her favorite spot was on the screened porch were she could watch all the wildlife. The deer were regular visitors to the back yard below the porch. The house has everthing you need for a great vacation. It had beach chairs, and toys if you had kids with you. There were really nice beach towels for the guests to use. It was also nice to have all the little household items provided. There was dish soap, hand soap, paper towels, trash bags, laundry soap, body wash, and toilet paper. Most rentals require you to bring your own! The linens are also provided, with the beds already made. The refridgerator has an ice maker as well. There is also a full size washer and dryer. Having the use of the washer and dryer made paking for two weeks a lot easier. Once you arrive at Fripp it is a little bit of a drive to any restaurants or stores, so plan on stopping on your way out to buy groceries There is a Publix and a Food Lion on your way out from Beaufort. This is the kind of vacation spot that you come to and stay at. Great for people who want a realaxing vacation that doesn't invovle lots of entertainment. There is plenty to do on island, but you won't find any amusement parks, shopping, movies, or bars. There is plenty of wildlife to enjoy, the golf courses are beautiful, there are great pools, and if you like kayaking there are plenty of waterways to explore. We would definately rent this house again if we plan another trip to Fripp Island.

  We just returned from a 10 day stay at the Misty Breeze. This was our first time on Fripp, but not our last. The home was perfectly located for our family. Our children ages 6, 9 and 12 loved being so close to the Activity Center and Cabana Club. My mother also joined us for part of the trip and there was so much room. The bedroom configuration was perfect for us. Our 3 children could be on the same floor as us. Wonderful!! The views were fantastic!! The home was well stocked with everything we could need. It was great to have the grill and outside shower. Nice to hose off after the beach. We will be back. Thank you Donna for all of your help.

  My husband and I had a wonderful vacation at this home! First of all, the views are spectacular from the screened-in porch and the upstairs balcony!! We spent many afternoons watching the sunset or enjoying a cup of coffee to watch the sunrise, and always enjoyed a cool breeze throughout each day. We had views of the marsh and beach. Occasionally we would see deer grazing in the backyard and dolphins swimming by in the waterway. The house was exceptionally well stocked (pots & pans, toilet paper, paper towels, linens, spices, etc), beautifully furnished and well maintained. If you're looking to do a low country boil- pick up your shrimp on the way in from Gaye's Fishing Company. The master bedroom and bathroom were huge and had all the comforts of home! The other bedrooms were equally as comfortable and each had their own full bathrooms! The location of the house on the island was perfect! It is a quiet area, yet only a 30 second walk to the Cabana Club (three pools, bar, restaurant) or a short (and scenic- deer, or alligators) golf cart ride to the beach. There is also a dock at a landing nearby that is perfect for fishing, crabbing, or just catching a breeze. Overall, I highly recommend this vacation rental! The owner was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to ensure we had an enjoyable stay! We'll definitely stay here on our next trip to Fripp Island!! It was the perfect beach getaway!!

  We just returned from a week at The Misty Breeze on Fripp Island. Apparently, there has been a severe heat wave blanketing the country, but we were absolutely oblivious to that during our time at The Misty Breeze. Not only does this home have incredible views, but the breezes are also fantastic! We had no idea that it was almost 100 degrees outside during our visit. The Misty Breeze is perhaps the most well-stocked of all homes we have rented. We cooked all but one meal at the house and had everything we needed with the grill, oven, tools, and spices. The owner told me that the house was well-equipped, and she was absolutely correct. I cannot wait for our return visit. I will most definitely rent from the owner again!

  We stayed at The Misty Breeze and found everything we needed. It was very comfortable for all of the family. The view of the ocean from the porch and the sunsets are fabulous! The fireplace was an added bonus and we enjoyed so much having a fire and seeing the ocean at the same time. The kitchen was well stocked and everything we needed was provided. The gas grill outside was wonderful for cooking, the gas is provided from the house so we didn't have to worry about the flame going out just before dinner was ready. It was so warm and cozy and we plan to come back again.
