There are two elements that make up the perfect beach vacation: A beautiful beach and a spectacular view. Mistral 22 has both and it is located on the top floor (3rd floor). This cozy beach condo also offers convenience, as it lies nestled between the sugar-white sands of the Emerald Coast and all the fun of 30A. The layout is thoughtfully designed and beautifully decorated. It sleeps eight, making it perfect for families. The kitchen has Corian countertops, a double basin stainless steel sink, white appliances, electric stove and oven, with a microwave overhead. It also has a dishwasher, a refrigerator with ice and water dispenser, toaster oven, espresso machine, toaster, coffee maker and blender. The cabinets are white, and the counter has seating for three. The dining area has two small tables, with seating for four.
The living room overlooks the spectacular view of the Gulf. A stuffed sofa, three wicker chairs, armoire with a 45-inch flat screen with DVD player and home theater system will keep entertained after a day at the beach! The balcony is the perfect place to relax with a cocktail. The patio table seats three and offers stunning views of the Gulf.
The first bedroom has a queen bed, ceiling fan, a small bureau, a reading nook for two, closet, and a 22-inch TV with a DVD/VHF player. The bathroom is just outside the door and has a tub/shower combo, Corian countertop with a single vanity. A stacked washer/dryer is off to the side. The hallway has a set of bunk beds, which the kids will love. The second floor is a loft area accessed by a spiral staircase. Here you’ll find the second bedroom, which is open to the downstairs. It has a queen bed with two night stands and two lamps, a ceiling fan, a 24-inch TV with a VHF player, bureau, two reading chairs and a closet with an ironing board and iron. The bath has a Jacuzzi tub and a Corian countertop with a single vanity.One of the best features of this cozy beach getaway is the beach access. Rating Details: I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was clean. The property manager was more than helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Rental agency didn't know if cleaning was completed or not. I had to inform them that we were at the rental and other places were being cleaned but ours was not in the process. 2 phone calls later and 2 hours later they confirmed it was already cleaned. Stove was not working properly they had a repairman come out he said it is heating fine. Well it heats up but doesn't retain the heat. He just tested right after it dinged it was hot but did stick around for half hour to see if it held the heat. We heated a ham for half an hour. Was cold. Baked French bread too 45 minutes. Made tarot tots took over an hour. Something is wrong. Manager responded on 4/30/2013: Thank you for your review. We apologize for the inconveniences you experienced and the miscommunication with our housekeeping department. It is our responsiblity to make sure every single property we manage is clean and safe for our guests before they enter it, and on this particular weekend, it was extremely busy and our housekeepers did their very best to get every home cleaned as well and as quickly as possible. We are extremely disappointed to hear about your stove as well! We apologize that the technician did not resolve the issue and will make sure it gets taken care of. Only items to consider if renting is that this is a 3rd floor unit and one room is a loft and to get to the beach there are stairs. So if stairs are a problem for you that could be an issue. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The folks at Royal Beach rentals were great to work with. Very professional and personable. Gave great advise on things to do, etc. in the area. The Mistral 22 property was somewhat of a let down. Over all, the property was clean but the shower curtain was very moldy and there were a few roaches and sugar ants in the rental property. There was a musky odor at first, probably due to not having the AC on. Royal Beach rentals was quick to remedy the situation by changing out the shower curtain and sending out an exterminator. The spiral staircase is not great for small children. We were concerned about our 2 year old falling if she tried to climb them. Older children can handle it. Location and view of the beach was awesome. Saw dolphins close by in the mornings. Very quiet building. Easy access by car or bike to other beaches, restaurants, etc. Mixed review overall. There were plenty of beds four our boys. The view was just incredible from the balcony, family room and kitchen. It made preparing meals in the kitchen so much more enjoyable. Both my husband and I enjoy cooking and the view made it so much more better. We cant wait to plan our next trip. We would for sure stay here again! Loved it!!! Only mild complaint was that the directions from the East (airport)took us to far to the west on 98 and had us back track on 30A (added about 10 minutes to driving time); should have taken us down waterway parkway.
