We rented the up and down units for a family celebration and we were all thrilled! The views were breathtaking! The place was so clean and very comfortable. The kitchen tables were so big which made meals wonderful for seating everyone. There are fantastic beach chairs included with the rental and umbrellas which is rare to find in a rental. Top shelf all the way!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

Well, I haven't actually had my stay at this property yet so I can't speak to the physical property (I'll repost something after our trip in mid October!), but I just wanted to note that the landlords of this property have been EXTREMELY easy to work with and such a pleasure. I was tasked with finding a "girls weekend" getaway for 9 women (no kids or husbands invited!!). We wanted something beachfront with a deck that was in our budget. I recieved a response from the owner within a couple hours of inquiring. He was very flexible in terms of payment (I had to collect money from 9 people that are in 4 different states) and has been super responsive ever since with any questions we have had. We are really looking forward to our weekend and truly appreciate the landlords being so flexible with us. It's been a pleasure to work with them and if the house is any reflection of the owners, we are good to go!!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The landlords are so incredibly helpful that we felt at home before we even got there. The location is beautiful and the house is perfect. We stayed in the upper unit and the views of the ocean from both inside, or outside on the deck, are spectacular, and the dolphins didn’t disappoint, putting on a fabulous show every day.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This was our first visit to Long Beach Island, and we'll be back for sure. What a beautiful location...quiet, peaceful, and right on the beach. We had the family down for a get together over the holiday weekend, then I had the place to myself a few days...just what we were looking for...we'll be seeing you again!Recommended for: Families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

Second visit to Holgate, and this upper unit. Photos are all accurate, right off the beach! Watching dolphin activity from the upper porch is a highlight. Well stocked kitchen, electronics (music & TVs) in 2 bedrooms & livingroom. Owners very communicative, and make check-in / out very easy. You won't be disappointed... Close to town, but far enough away for quiet at night. Beach very clean, gets raked daily.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

We had very specific requirements and this was the perfect place for us. For 16 people, everyone had a bed, we had the most amazing view of the ocean, and we found all of this at the only place that will do partial week rentals on Long Beach Island during the summer. It was just a quick walk over a beautiful hill down to the sandy beach. This place has great energy, it is so relaxing and contains every amenity you can imagine. All the cooking & dining utensils you need, also included ice makers, incredible electronics in nearly every room, air-conditioning throughout, Beach chairs and umbrellas, outdoor showers, BBQs w/ propane tanks ready to use, and a washer and dryer in each unit. The owners/managers are amazing people who are very responsive and provide you all the information you need about check-in and checkout. Highly highly highly recommend this place! Bring your own sheets & towels, a few games & some food, and you'll be SET!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My extended family has been renting and vacationing on Long Beach Island for 40 years. We decided to up the ante this year and go for ocean front, and rented the upper and lower floors of this fabulous Holgate property. Every amenity is included with these homes, including ice makers, WiFi , tons of beach chairs, and dining space for 12 in EACH unit! The house is only a mile and a half to restaurants and shopping in beach haven, an easy walk or bike ride. The photos on this site do not do justice to this fabulous rental!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We did a last minute booking for Mother's Day weekend and it was a real treat! The place was tastefully decorated and was very clean. We loved having a view of the beach and as we have little children we really enjoyed sitting out on the deck in the evening when they were in bed. Great to be handy to the beautiful beach & nice to pop back for a bite to eat. The dune was a little steep for 1 & 3 year old legs; but it made them sleep even better:) John and Diane were great to work with and were super at checking everything was just right. My girlfriends and I had a beach house booked for 2 months for just a weekend at the end of April. The Wednesday before we received a notice that the house was no longer available. That evening we found a listing for LBI Beafchfront and under John's contact it stated "Call Anytime." At 9:45 that evening we called John. He was so nice and was quick to find us a house. We were so greatful to find a house with 2 days left! Every day up to and the day of, John was soo great with communication and making sure we had everything we needed. Our faves about the house was that the house came with an ice maker, an ipod dock, and a great oceanfront view from the deck!! John saved our weekend and were 10 happy girls!!!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

This rental was excellent! The owners were friendly, helpful and extremely accommodating. I grew up in this area and have come back every year. This is the first time I felt like I was coming home! Clean, comfortable, great location, quiet neighborhood, great decor - very cozy. The owners were terrific from the first call I placed to them regarding their property. They call us to make sure everything was alright almost immediately upon our arrival. The place was very open and spacious and clean. Felt very comfortable with the location was our first time staying in Holgate area and thought the decor was very neat clean and pleasing to the eye. Would love to stay at this property ever time we go back. This was an A+++ vacation. We managed to book the same week that Hurricane Irene made landfall! Despite the craziness of having to delay getting to the beach house, the managers were very helpful and provided up-to date info about when the road was open, as well as checking in with us when we arrived to make sure all was well. As a side note, the housekeeping staff was great - they came after being up nights in a row running a evacuation shelter, and did a great job and were so nice. The upper unit is light and very comfortable, with just a spectacular view. The surrounding area is less busy than other parts of the island and so pretty and charming. Would definitely return. We loved this beach house. It accomodated us easily when we were 7 or 10. Having the surprise of the beautiful new sectional was great ...soo comfortable! House decor was a perfect beachy environment, soft ocean colors and sea shore designs. All the amenities of home. Steps from the beach! Soothing sound of the ocean made our stay perfect. WOW! We are so excited about all the changes - we just returned! What an amazing difference from previous years! Thank you! The week could not have been better! The king size bed made our stay so comfortable! Again, thank you! The house turned out to be so much more appealing than the pictures particularly due to the new furniture in the living room and dining area. Very comfortable and fantastic panoramic views. All was very clean, the appliances performed perfectly, and the location is perfect. Our children and grandchildren joined us for a few days and the home adapted easily to the extra guests. We had the upper unit and were never even aware of the occupants in the lower unit. Would absolutely recommend this vacation home and Tucker's for Happy Hour!!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children.

we had a wonderful vacation on lbi and plan on returning. we stayed june 11-16. the rental was beautiful, beach quiet and got to see dolphins and a whale. the grandchildren enjoyed the "over the dune to the beach". we all had a great stay. we would recommend this property as a great stay on long beach island.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children.

We stayed in the Upper 4BDM. Ocean Front, We came in from Michigan and had my Father come in from Phily, We had a Wonderful Family vacation, The neighbors next door gave my youngest daughter some paints to paint her seashells.
