  My husband and I, along with our two children, stayed in this villa for a week! It was absolutely all that was promised in the vrbo ad. It was impeccably clean and beautifully decorated. Both bedrooms were lovely with their own private bathrooms. Our two children loved their room and ours was equally wonderful. Beds were extremely comfortable! Tom and Donna have lots of nice added touches like dinner menus in a kitchen drawer, and numerous games and books in the living room located in the drawers of the end tables and coffee table. It was so pleasant to come back in after a great day at the beach. We would highly recommend staying here to anyone---the beach truly is a short walk from the villa. We also enjoyed the Dunes House because it was such a short distance from our villa and was a great, great place to eat after being on the beach. OR just walk up from the beach and eat lunch. Tom and Donna are very, very kind and helpful. They are wonderful to deal with and will email you directions and fun things to do while you are on the island. Take my word for it-----you can't go wrong if you stay here for your vacation! Thanks again Tom and Donna!

  My wife and I spent the first two weeks of March 2012 at Tom and Donna's villa and found it to be very clean, well maintained and well equipped. The description and photos in their listing on VRBO very accurately described the villa and its location. It was just a very short walk to the beach, the Dunes House, the General Store and Alexanders. One our daughters and three of our grandson's visited with us for the weekend and their was plenty of room for all. This was the first time that we had the opportunity to come to Hilton Head in March and found it to be very relaxing. We have been to Hilton Head for a week in July for the past five years with our children and their families and the number of people involved has somewhat limited our ability to explore the island and surrounding areas. On this visit we had the opportunity to try a different restaurant every evening and take day trips to Savannah and Beaufort. We found several great restaurants - Frankie Bones, Catch 22, and Stellini's to mention a few. Savannah and Beaufort are great day trip destinations. The Trolley tour of Savannah is an excellent way to see most of the high points of Savannah in a relatively short period of time. Tom was very responsive in arranging for visitors passes for ourselves and our visitors and we had no occassion to call upon him for anything else because everything at the villa was exactlly as represented and expected. We would certainly recommend this villa to anyone and hope to return ourselves next year.

  Our family of 3 had a wonderful vacation in Hilton Head at Tom & Donna's beautiful condo! This is our first trip to Hilton Head and we will definitely be back. The condo was a bargain compared to other condos in the same area. The proximity to the beach and other area attractions was very appealing to us. The area of beach we were at is much less crowded than the beach areas by the larger condo complexes and we had the pool to ourselves about half the week. Very quiet area but close enough to enjoy everything. Although nothing in Hilton Head is very far away. We have a 4 year old so we didn't want a long walk to the beach and this was just right. Far enough away from the Dunes House to avoid noise but close enough to walk easily back and forth with a 4 year old and all our stuff! This is a perfect location in my opinion. We rented bikes for the week to navigate around Palmetto Dunes and you can even ride your bike under the main highway to get to Shelter Cove Marina where there are many more shops, restaurants and live musicians. We highly recommend checking out San Miguels, Kingfisher, Old Oyster Factory and plenty of ice cream shops! Tom & Donna were great to work with from the first time we called. They went far above and beyond anyone we have ever rented from in the past. They gave us plenty of ideas of things to do with our 4 year old daughter. They truly wanted to make sure we had a great vacation all around. The condo was perfect for us, having a split floorplan design where our daughter's bedroom was on the other side of the unit from ours. Although we didn't cook in the unit (too busy trying out local restaurants) the kitchen is stocked full with anything a cook might need for the week. The unit is decortated very cute and our daughter even commented on how excited she was to sleep in her "pretty fishy bedroom!" It was a hit for all 3 of us and we will definitely be back. We've only been home a week and are already planning for next year! Thanks Tom & Donna!

  We had a wonderful vacation staying in this villa in Palmetto Dunes, May 21-28. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. When you walk in the front door, the beauty and decor will take your breath away. The Villa is tastefully decorated throughout and was so clean and fresh. Our grandchildren joined us for two days and they were so excited and awed at the beautiful guest bedroom with the Fish decor throughout the room. Our five year old kept saying, "This is the best beach house ever!" Our rental experience was the best we have experienced. The owners were always available to answer any questions or concerns we had. The Villa was everything they said it was and more. The short walk to the beach made our stay even better. My 78 year old husband and our grandchildren made it just fine. The Villa was very comfortable and cleaner than any Villa we have ever stayed in. The kitchen was stocked with anything you would need. I wasn't afraid to use any of the dishes, glassware or silverware, cooking pots and pans as I felt they were clean. The furnishings were so nice and comfortable and it was so nice just sitting out on the decks overlooking the lagoon and just relaxing before our grandchildren arrived. We would definately stay at this Villa again when we return to Palmetto Dunes. Our son and his wife rented a Villa nearby and they liked our Villa so much more than theirs and want to rent it next year. Also, we used the Shuttle Bus to go shopping one day and that was a delightful experience also. We highly recommend this Villa .

  We had a blast! The villa was clean and well maintained. The kitchen had everything you needed and more. There were six of us and we had plenty of room without feeling like we were running over each other. Loved the washer and dryer, so I didn't have to pack extra for the kids. Location was great. The pool is really close and the walk to the beach wasn't bad at all. We took a wagon to pull our beach tent, chairs, and cooler (with 2 kids and 4 adults we had a lot to take). Tom was great and answered any questions we had prior to our stay and the information he provided about the island was wonderful. The kids show at Shelter Cove was fun and we went back several times for shopping and ice cream. Try eating at Crazy Crab, Bonefish, and the Dunes House. All were excellent. We can't wait to go back.

  We had a wonderful experience staying in this villa and on Hilton Head Island. We would definately stay at this villa again if we return. I could not possibly ask for a better rental experience - so why would we look elsewhere? Tom (the owner) was available every time I called, and was wonderful in answering any questions we had regarding the villa and/or the island. He truly wanted our stay to be wonderful, and you could tell that in every conversation. The villa was incredibly comfortable, clean, and appeared to be professionally decorated and maintained by a service (i.e. same towels, hand soaps, dish soap packs, etc. that are supplied when you rent through an agency or at a resort). Yet it had nice touches of home (books, games, etc.). The kitchen was much better stocked with supplies than any place we've ever rented (blender, margarita cups, knives that are actually sharp, wine openers, hand mixer, decent cookware, etc.). The furnishings were more comfortable than the average rental as well. We slept like babies, for the beds were very comfortable, it was quiet, and just so peaceful and relaxing, especially when sitting out on the decks overlooking the wooded area and lagoon. I think our favorite part of this experience was being 2 blocks from the beach! It was an easy walk back to the villa to make lunch or to grab a few more beach items. You cannot beat that. No car necessary. There was also an eatery right there at the entrance to the beach, in case you wanted to get a meal or a few drinks with an ocean view. Although at first we weren't too sure about being on the 2nd floor, it turned out we were very glad. There was no villa above us (so no footstep noises from anyone above!), and even with my bad foot and bad knees, it was an easy walk up the stairs. We just left all the beach gear at the base of the stairs under the villas (either outside drying or in our car for storage), so that did not need to ever go up or down the stairs. A few tips - 1. When in Palmetto Dunes and renting bikes or canoes, ask for any discounts for those staying there. It helped us a number of times. 2. Also, there is a FREE shuttle for anyone staying in Palmetto Dunes wanting to get around (within Palmetto Dunes and Shelter Cove). 3. Lastly, our favorite eatery was "Wise Guys" - if you like trying unique, small plate food combinations (almost tappas style) and good wines, then we'd recommend it. Overall, we highly recommend this villa and island!
